Desde que llegamos a Venecia, me cuesta muchísimo sacudirme la sensación de que nos vigilan. Y resulta que tenía razón. La figura frente a nosotros da un paso. Otro. Su sonrisa no cambia. Poso la mano sobre la empuñadura de la espada.

Venecia, carnaval, teatro... Combinación perfecta para otro libro de Amanda Black.
Si no me equivoco, es el primero en tener más de 200 páginas. Al principio me sorprendió el cambio, ya que parecía que los autores mantenían esa regla en todos los libros anteriores por alguna razón que desconozco, pero después de acabar el libro entiendo, y agradezco, el aumento en número de páginas, ya que creo que han desarrollado muy muy bien las pruebas que Amanda y Eric han tenido que superar en esta aventura y no se han dejado nada en el tintero.
Jugar con los arquetipos del teatro del s. XVI, de la Commedia dell'Arte en particular, y recrearlos como villanos en esta historia creo que ha sido todo un acierto. Representar sus características para que los protagonistas tengan que superar ciertas pruebas hasta conseguir la Máscara Maestra y la forma en la que están descritas ha sido un 10 en toda regla.
Este libro también deja un mensaje al final sobre la justicia y lo agridulce que a veces puede llegar a ser... Muy cierto.
Deseando poder leer ya el siguiente libro.

Demasiado parecido a uno de esos thrillers baratos donde la mitad del libro se te va en descripciones de lugares y sensaciones. Mucha palabrería pero muy poco de lo que hace especial a la saga, ni siquiera parece escrita por el mismo autor; nada de bromas ni de los comentarios habituales. Es como si Amanda y Eric estuvieran pasando a la adultez de una forma brusca y directa, en fin que le doy 3 estrellas por lo original de la trama( que dicho sea de paso daba para más) Ojalá que el próximo vuelva al tono normal !!!

Nueva aventura de nuestra intrépida Black, en esta ocasión por Venecia. La verdad es que el libro se me ha hecho corto, pero me ha encantado que se haya tomado como base La comedia del arte como base.
