Naughty: When Old Flames Ignite New Desires

Rate this book
Alex Conrad knows that the girl across the hall looks familiar, but he just can't place her…until she shoots THAT smile at him. Lexie Gill, the nerdy, bespectacled girl from college whom Alex often fantasized about but never managed to make those dreams a reality. He had been pretty damned sure he'd be too much for her back then, and he's sure as hell he'd be too much for her now. But now with her messy blonde hair, short blue dress revealing legs he had never set eyes on before, and the strapless bodice showing off her incredible tan, he's tempted to try this time around to make his fantasies a reality. Part of him knows why he should stay away from her – his hidden desires may be too much for her to handle. But the yearning to teach her about his world is a challenge too mouthwatering to ignore.

This ebook contains very hot and explicit descriptions of romantic activity. Only mature readers should download this book.

As I have never read any of Lucia’s previous books before, I wasn’t sure on what to expect when I started this book. From page one I felt like I had missed a book or two from this series, I had to keep checking that this book was indeed book one. I felt like I had started this book in the middle – which I hadn’t. Both hero and heroine annoyed the hell out of me! The hero because he couldn’t make his damn mind up about making a move on the girl he has had a crush on since college. He keeps getting her alone and then running off and leaving her. I just wanted Lexie (the heroine) to tell him to do one, to not even give him the time of day. The heroine, Lexie, annoyed me because she wasn’t honest! I will admit that she wasn’t as bad as the hero, Alex, BUT why did she lie! The reason for carrying on reading even though I was so frustrated? I don’t like to give up on books, I wanted to give this book a real chance of capturing my attention, to get me to start liking it/enjoying it, I just didn’t. Will I be reading the next book and the other books to this series? Nope. If I didn’t like the characters in the first book, I very much doubt I will connect with the characters in the other books.

I'm not going to rate this story since I only got to 53% and because I purchased it by accident. I will add that if you're a lover of sweet sub/Dom stories, this book is for you. I do believe that I'm more dominate by nature than the Hero in this story. Guess I'm just not a sweet kind of girl. The Author seems to be excellent at her craft and I'm sure that had I purchased this book while in the mood to read it, I would have loved it. She does have some books on her shelf that looks really good and I plan on digging into them. Go check them out too you may fall in love with a new author.

Happy reading.

I'm sorry, but this was just ridiculous. I guess it's my fault, since I usually dislike dominant males and submissive females together (the opposite, too, but this just a tad even more). In other terms, I'm all for alpha-alpha couples, or beta-beta—you get the point. 50/50 effort.

The amount of abuse in this just annoyed me. For instance, domination, possessiveness, and some sexual abuse at the beginning. There just wasn't enough between the female and male in this story. They had apparently met previously, but still, the "romance", or chemistry, sucked.

The ending was fucked up, too. The female protagonist said "he's my boyfriend" whilst speaking to her current infatuation interest (the Dom), right in front of the (EX) boyfriend. *smh*

Anyway, the writing was actually quite good---excluding all the euphemisms for a vagina/penis. For real, way too many.

Grammar tips for the author: serial comma; em dash/en dash/hyphen/hanging hyphen differences; commas before though, either, and anyway (there's more, I can't remember them, though); commas before "too" when it isn't used as an intensifier; and FANBOYS. That's all, I think.

Overall, this book was alright. I'm so glad it was 33 pages and not more. The author seems like she knows what she's doing with writing, but it's the content that mainly annoyed me.

The book is a bit short and it makes the story bit superficial and preditable.

I read a lot of Lucia Jordan's books and the many series she has written. This one is just like all of the other. It's not a disppointment to read and it's meant to grab your attention right away. This is the first story of a few in the series, so if you are looking for no cliffhanger you will be disappointed. These are two people that knew each other a few years back and then meet again at a friends wedding. Lexi and Alex seem to click until right about the end of the book. I won't give anything else away because I don't like when other viewers do that to me on books that I want to read. There is friendship, crazy relationships, chemistry and Sex. That is all I will give away. Enjoy reading and get ready to get hooked. I received this book for free for giving my honest review.

Wow. What a cliffhanger. I’m guessing the following book will explain the situation between Lexie & Todd?

It's a good read. Some of the women I know may enjoy this story as a break in there monotonous day. Although I enjoyed the characters pretty well. I do get tired of the Rich Guy angle and would enjoy a more real life character. Including less GQ in the process making the fantasy we emerge our selves in with what precious free time we have, a little less fantasy.

Read it and decide for yourself. Allow fantasy and reality to collide as you like. I entourage the role our lady plays.

I saw this little novella on the Kindle Store for free and so I thought that I would give it a try. It is a very quick read (33 pages), but it is a rather hot, steamy romance story of a man and woman who are rekindling their unspoken love after seeing either other by chance after they left college. It is a good quick read if you have a few spare moments. It is well written and keeps up a good pace.

Great Read

Beautiful story and following up on past unspoken love. The characters were so believable and truly pulls you in because they are so relatable to deal life. Their new love was just becoming too fruition when her unfinished past leaves her in limbo. Can't wait to read the next book!!

Out of this world

Naughty is exhilarating, sensual, erotic and tantalizing. You will not be able to put it down. You will love Alex and Lexie. You become apart of their love. He is a man you only could pray to meet. Every woman's dream. Lexie is just like us wanting someone to help her be herself. A MUST READ.

Readable. If you want something quick and easy to read that takes no brain power whatsoever then this is perfect for you. Still not sure why so many women are so hooked on this style of book as I find it a little far fetched at times but then I suppose that's is the point of the fantasies

Love it

Amazingly sexual. I wished for longer. I have to read #2. That's where I am going. Everything was hot in the book but in order to spend money, I would not, only because it's WAY WAY TO SHORT

Readable

This book was too predictable from beginning till the end which made it a very uninteresting story to read. The writing was good but the characters were very one dimensional which made them completely boring.

I'm not really into the dominant/submissive stuff, but I thought it was an interesting plot of how Lexie challenges his control and starts making him question his own desires.

Alex & Lexie have chemistry that is off the charts. He lets her know up front want he is looking for, but the twist at the end you do not see coming.

Okay Read

I really liked this story. I really wish the heroine was a little bit more resistant to the hero. I think that would make it more exciting.

Good

Good story. It was more of a hard core 50 shades of gray. I liked it a lot. Very hot and steamy!

That didn't even have a plot. It was just to people lusting after each other. It isn't a love story, not even close.
