To protect the Star River Sect from the Xion Family's invasion, Harper helps Kael forge an impenetrable array. But defense alone cannot settle this blood feud. Seeking lethal power, he plunges into an ancient ruin in the Central Plains.
Upon his return, an encounter with a cultivator from another continent reveals a harsh Heavenfall is the weakest of the five great continents. Kael realizes the Soul Formation realm is no longer the peak. To guard his sect against the coming storm, he must continuously elevate his strength.
Did you like the previous books in this series? You're going to like this one if you didn't. I don't know why you're still reading this book stands on its own, but it really helps your enjoyment if you've read the previous books, but they're not necessary, they just help you have more satisfaction at the resolution of some plot threads that were previously laid out in other books. There's plenty of fighting and cultivation craziness in this book. MC really grows as a person and a leader. I don't know how to tell you much more without just destroying the plot of the book and letting you know everything that happens in advance. I really feel that would take away from your enjoyment of the book, so I'm just going to tell you it's quite good. If you like cultivation novels, you'll enjoy it and I'm looking forward to reading the next book. I apologize for any spelling errors, I'm writing this review with voice to text
I have thoroughly enjoyed this story so far. Not very many "good guys" around however. This world is a bit more bloodthirsty than I normally enjoy, but overall a well written and engaging tale.
