My love for reading developed at an early age. My parents, Daniel and Gwendolyn Odidison, were both avid readers and encouraged me to read as much as possible. Trips to the public library were the highlight of my week and by the time I was in junior high I was reading everything from biographies to suspense to True Confession magazines!
I got my big “break” when I was only fourteen-years-old. I read my first poem at my local church and received a standing ovation. Reading my poems and seeing my plays come to life on stage proved to me that I had a God-given talent for the written word. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education, I hugged my family goodbye and boarded a plane for Seoul, South Korea. I loved every minute of living in Seoul. The people, the food, the culture, the shopping. Three years later, I returned home with a fresh outlook on life and a gorgeous fiancé (yay me!) Jean-Claude and I married, settled into our new home and now have an adorable, three-year-old daughter named Aysiah who keeps us very busy.
I penned my first novella while teaching in South Korea and upon the advice of a good friend and colleague I transformed, Other People’s Business, into a full-length novel. I wrote The Trouble With Luv’ soon after. Two years and thirty rejection letters later, I signed with super-agent Sha-Shana Crichton from Crichton and Associates. Six weeks later I had a two-book deal contract with Harlequin’s African-American Romance line, Kimani Press.
Her Kind of Man, and Love T.K.O. were both released in ’08, and this year there are more scintillating stories to come. I’ve written seven books now, but I feel like I’m just getting started! A huge thanks to all of you who attend my book signings, send me I-love-your-book-emails, leave messages on my Facebook page and who are recommending my books to other die-hard romantics. Sage Collins and Marshall Grant will heat things up in Games of the Heart (August 2009) and a feisty PR Director and a fine, ex-NFL running back rekindle the flames in Passion Overtime (November 2009). Read an excerpt of my novels under the heading Books.
If you enjoy a good romance story, rich with desire, scorching HOT love scenes and a few unexpected twists and turns along the way, you’ve come to the right place. Grab one of my books, recline in a comfy chair and enjoy the ride! I guarantee you’ll love the heroes and heroines featured in my stories. They’re strong but flawed men and women who are just looking for a little love and tenderness! That’s all for now, friends. Happy Reading and be blessed!
The Morretti men are a treat. Great descriptive details. Immanuel has left his family in Italy to start a new life in Atlanta. Dionne is going through divorce number 2. (I don't think I have read about a twice-divorced heroine.)Each has their secrets. If you enjoy a family with brothers/cousins. I recommend this book.
Interesting story, good chemistry, likeable hero/heroine.
3.5-4 star read. I had initially rounded down to 3 stars because some of the hero's romantic gestures felt controlling to me (he bribes a hotel maid to let him into the heroine's room when she doesn't answer the door; he tricks the heroine -- who's on sleeping pills -- into traveling with him instead of with her friends; he changes the heroine's locks to protect her after she is attacked but without asking her first). To be clear, the heroine was totally fine with all of this, so I guess within the context of the book, his behaviour is fine and even wanted, but it turned me off.
But then I love that the heroine is 35 and the hero 40, as I find that's very rare in romance (so many of the heroines I read are in their 20s), so I'm rounding back up to 4 stars.
I absolutely love the Morretti Millionaires series. They are very protective of the women they are interested in and they always lavish them with love, attention, and many gifts. Even though Immanuel was hired by Dione's soon-to-be ex-husband to find dirt to use against her before the divorce, instead he rescued, wined and dined her. However, secrets that neither wants known comes into play and threatens their new found friendship that could possibly lead to true love after all! Another awesome read by Pamela Yaye!
I just love Immanuel's restraint and respect in this book. I was imagining the happy couple falling in love and lust and Jules using him that way. It was refreshing to see a man who was capable of keeping it in his pants! Excellent plot choice! 😀
I like Pamela Yaye books. This book's story line was okay. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. I liked Dionne's character. I felt sorry Dionne. I liked Immanuel's character. I liked how Immanuel protected Dionne. I liked the ending.
Pamela Yaye, has done it again. Gotta love those Morretti Millionaires. Immanuel and Dionne had chemistry from the beginning to the end. They were both unlucky in love. Emillo and Immanuel don't know if is was sibling rivalry or Emillo really did not that he was sleeping with brother's fiance'e, I'll give Emillo the benefit of doubt the Morretti men are all playboys. Don't really want to give the plot away. Fans of Pamela this a must read. The entire Morretti Millionaires is great. Now I am waiting for Dante's story.
Another hot Morretti get his girl!!!! I just loved this family of hot Italian men. No matter the circumstance, these Morretti men come out smelling like roses when it comes to proving to their girl that they'll love them forever. Immanuel was no different in his fight to get, keep, and love his one true soulmate Dionne!!!!
I love the Moretti's. Dione is divorcing her husband Jules and someone is out to get her. Enter Immanuel Moretti who saves her from an attacker. He feels responsible for her and checks on her. As they become friends, they don't realize that they are becoming emotionally involved.
I love my Morretti men, Dionne made me want to choke her then love her then choke her again. Immanuel did the same but they survived their pass and the future looks very bright. Looking forward to the next Morretti book. Hopefully it's Dante
Those darn Morretti Brothers at it again... this time Somalia born Dionne Fontaine is in trouble after being done with romance and marriage. Sounds like a hard rode cut out for Immanuel. I enjoyed this book and it was a great read.
