This is not my typical review. I go off topic a bit, however, I do finally get around to my actual review. So, hang in there with me.
Unbeknownst to me, I purchased Book 3 of this series at the 2017 Romantic Times Conference. I also got an opportunity to meet Author Sherelle Green at the conference. She was welcoming and very nice.
I'm really not big on series. I honestly prefer to read stand-alone novels. Hence the reason this novel set on the self until Harlequin sent out a 50% off coupon. I purchased books 1 & 2. Unfortunately, you have to read these novels in order. Thank you, Harlequin because it was WORTH IT.
Book one of the Bare Sophistication Series, Enticing Winter was simply amazing. The novel opened with a blind date between Tahiem Reed and Winter Dupree. OMGreatness, the date was so bad. I mean BAD. Tahiem was an hour late. And, Winter had some choice words for him. After a bad date, how did these two make a love connection?
Due to their line of work, Tahiem and Winter ran in the same circles. They were constantly working on the same projects. Over time they began to tolerate each other. The tension between the two was perfect. Sometimes, authors overdo the tension between the hero and heroine. Sherelle Green did a nice job. Nothing was forced and the pace of the novel was perfect. Until, Winter met Tahiem's mother, Regina Reed for the first time. In my humble opinion, the one-sided conversation was too much for a first encounter.
Enticing Winter was believable, developed and well written. The love scenes were classy and exquisitely written. I'm a romance novel junkie at heart. Enticing Winter was a great novel. I'm looking forward to book two, Falling for Autumn.
Kimani romances can often be cookie cutter but this book was anything but. The things Winter endured and overcame were heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. Taheim was such a gentle spirit who had his crushed by the wrong woman for him. So glad they found each other and healed past hurts while finding love.
Winter and Taheim are made for each other. Both are dealing with past hurts, which initially keeps them apart. Eventually, their chemistry cannot be denied. How sexy was this story? Super sexy! And the Vegas "fashion show"...freaking hilarious! This is a great read.
I wanted an epilogue. I am so glad he doesn't have to deal with Andrea trifling behind. She just thought she was going to give them hell. Well we know who would shut that down. Autumn don't play. She'd gladly shut that down.
I enjoyed reading Winter and Taheim's love story. They are two people that are very caring with similar ways, and neither one of them was able to see "...the forest for the trees" until they were put in charge of the masquerade lingerie fashion show for Taheim's brother, Ajay's grand opening of his new night club, Inferno! They went from disliking each other to not being able to live without each other! They journey was hilarious and very sensuous as well. Happy reading.
Is it possible to come back from a bad date especially when a jealous ex shows up? From bad date to being paired to work together, Winter and Taheim are going to have to get over their disdain for each other. It doesn’t help that they’re both attracted to each other. When Taheim invites himself on Winter’s trip, the wall that they’ve built to keep each other at arms length may just get knocked down and when it falls, more than light may be let in.
CONCEPT The concept of the story man and woman have disastrous blind date and later find out paired together to organize a masquerade event. Sparks fly but this man’s is determined to never love again until he is enticed.

DIALOGUE The dialogue was on point and appropriate for this story.
STRUCTURE The structure of the story was sound and will keep the read engaged.
OVERALL Enticing Winter is the first book in the Bare Sophistication series and it was a great start to the series. Winter and Taheim’s story is enlightening, hot and very entertaining. Readers will enjoy reading about their journey to love. Overall this was a good read.
Oh, these two stole my heart away! What started as the worst date ever, causing them to avoid each other as much as possible in the future, turns into something worth holding on, something to cherish, something you are not able to ever forget... The way Taheim and Winter are brought together because of the circumstances of their careers, after the disaster date from hell, forces them to be courtly to each other in the fashion events in Chicago, even though few fights might have broken out. They just can't agree on anything, even when they agree on the matter. Until coincident puts Winter in Taheim's bedroom, in her exclusive lingerie, and Taheim knows, that is a view he will never forget. Crazy bet brings them closer together, and they start to talk to each other, like they haven't talked to anyone in a long while. They end up taking a trip together, and while traveling, opening up to each other, sharing things they never want to talk about, baring their souls, deepest secrets, and vulnerable hurts from their past. With each others support, they both face people from their past that hurt them, they get out of their comfort zone, take risks they didn't take before, and completely fall for each other while doing it all. I loved the characters, they are real, honest, loyal, solid people, tough and strong when needed, yet open and vulnerable inside. They don't create unnecessary drama with each other, but have faith and trust in each others actions, thoughts, and feelings. A thought provoking, enjoyable, heartfelt romance ~ Five Spoons
Sherelle Green's novels consist of temperamental individuals seeking to work through deep emotional baggage. Enticing Winter is only the second story I have read by her but I cannot wait to read more. Winter is sassy, sexy and single-minded. She knows she has something to prove and will not stop until she does. Taheim is attracted to Winter. He sees a carbon copy of himself in this beautiful woman. Where the problems start is that past betrayals, ambition, competition and mistrust make these two a ticking time bomb. Ms. Green writes characters that readers can sympathize with, root for and see themselves in. I received an ARC of Enticing Winter in exchange for an honest review.
This was a great novel. Besides the opposites attract romance. Sherelle Green gave you something to think about, the story line between Winter and the love-hate relationship with her mother. There are hard questions and decisions to make when a parent abandons their child. Winter's sister Autumn did not have the sensitivity stemming from trying to please your mother. That Taheim, is one alpha male. I enjoyed this novel! The story line based around designers and their magic at fashion shows was exquisite.
I really enjoyed this novel. Winter and Taheim danced around their attraction until they found common ground between them. Buried feelings, hurt, betrayal, and so much more kept their hearts captive for far too long. Once they gave love a try they found that the too deserved a love to last throughout the rest of their lives. I can hardly wait to read Autumn's story, she's a force to be reckoned with, someone is going to have to tame her for sure! Great novel Sherelle, I really enjoyed this one!
Winter Dupree and her sisters own a lingerie boutique that is featured in the city's Fashion Week. They're excited until Winter discovers that she will be sharing the spotlight with Taheim Reed her blind date that she considered the "date from hell". Taheim is introducing his men's nightwear line and they have to work together to make it a success. Enjoyed this book.
Such a sweet story, I like Taheem and Winter, it was nice to see them get their own story. In the beginning Taheem made me want to cut him but he grew on me. That Autumn is going to be a force when she gets her story. I definitely recommend this book to other reader. You can't go wrong with a Sherelle Green book.
Winter and Taheim first meet on a blind date that was set up by their family. They instantly end up disliking each other and feel like it's their worst blind date ever! Months later they end up working together they end up working together and realize they might like each other after all.
Enjoyed reading about Winter and Taheim. Winter's mother is a piece of work. Glad that she and Taheim were there for each other. Now waiting Autumn's story. Is Jaleen going to be the man for Autunm?
This book was extremely hot and sensual from the start. Winter and Tahiem's story was all kinds of sexy the chemistry between the two was off the charts I can't wait for the third book in the series
This Elite Event spinoff series definitely is great start for the rest of the series. The hate to love transition that Taheim & Winter went through was great to watch!
This story shows us as readers that even though you've had a bad first impression of someone there could be more that could change the way you view people and situations you find yourself in.
Utter dislike + avoidance + fear + friendship x working together ÷ a working trip + trust and understanding =Love.
Over achievers and independent to a fault Winter Dupree and Taheim Reed both have secrets and fears, but were willing to share with each other once they begin to comprehend how much they were alike as well as different. Secondary characters ran the gambit funny, indifferent, loving and downright nasty. Well written story, with characters one could identify with. Saved the series to read all together, on to book two.
