Risqu Business by New York Times bestselling Harlequin Blaze author Tawny Weber
Critic Delaney Conner savaged Nick Angel's latest novel--she says his love scenes are all heat and no warmth. He says great sex is purely physical. Time to take this debate into the bedroom!
Since first publishing in January 1996, Lori Foster has become a USA Today, Publisher’s Weekly and New York Times bestselling author. Lori has published through a variety of houses, including Kensington, St. Martin’s, Harlequin, Silhouette, Samhain, and Berkley/Jove. She is currently published with HQN.
Lori hosts a very special annual “Reader & Author” event in West Chester, Ohio. Proceeds from the event have benefited many worthy causes, including the Hamilton County YWCA Battered Women’s Shelter, the Animal Adoption Foundation, The Conductive Learning Center for children with spina bifida and cerebral palsy, and The One Way Farm, Children’s Home.
It's been a little while since I read a Lori Foster book. Okay so its only been 2 weeks, but for me that is a LONG time =). Scandalized just reminded me again of why I enjoy her books so much. The heat, the characters were spot on. I was squealing by page 47. The passion in this book was amazing and now I must figure out if its a series or not so I can read all the others...
What a surprise this book was! There were both positive and negative surprises for me, here. This is the first of the many books by Lori Foster that I absolutely detested. Tony is patronizing and crude in his initial proposition to Olivia, but her attitude toward her physical in abilities quickly turned me off even more. She refers numerous times to herself as less than a full woman because of her perceived inabilities. She also fails to show a real understanding of her medical issues, contributing strongly to a pervasive societal expectation that a woman without children is not only incomplete but an aberation. Terribly unempowering to those women who can't have or don't want children. Tony actually came around in the end, but neither character ever felt real or likeable.
I had read one other Tawny Weber and found that book so intolerable that I nearly didn'the read this one. I'm so glad that I gave Weber another chance. Risqué Business completely redeemed this book for me. I fell in love with Nick and Delaney. They were real and flawed, and completely a blast to read about. I give this book 4 stars because of Weber's story, but limit this book to only 4 stars because of the time I wasted in reading the story by Foster.

Both stories made laugh, anxious to find out what was next. I really love the emotions and sassiness of both couples. I would to read more books of both authors.
I gave it a 4/5, I just think that Scandalized's conflict didn't have enough execution. Plus, Olivia's character didn't leave much of an impact on me. It's like we just bumped into each other in a grocery store, says hi, and then goodbye. I love Tony and his family, good work on that.
Risque Business, on the other hand, I love how rational the characters there. Great execution of conflict and I love the decision Delaney made. And also, the way Nick's character improved in that short time span was absolutely great! I'd say I like this more than Scandalized. Great work by Tawny Weber, made me want to read her books too.
I liked both stories. Lori's book was decent story I loved his family and her neighbors. It was sexy story with happy ending. Tawny 's story was decent but seemed to drag a little to me but still decent
He wanted a baby she didn't know what to think about it when he asked her to be the mother of the baby he didn't want to do it the old fashion way but that is the only way she would think about it is doing it the old fashion way but she is carrying a s secert
I honestly did not care for any of the characters in this book. I felt like they were both a bit shallow and the book just didn't work for me. The story line was weak. I did like that it had a happy ending.
Had to review on basis of Tawny Weber's book which was the better story. I lived Tony & fam but didn't like Olivia. And if they had been normal neither one would have lasted thru misunderstandings. That being said their first sexual encounter was HOT!
Let me just say wow! This is one of those stories that you have to get up and walk down the hallway for. You find yourself setting the book down and saying "what?!?" I always enjoy reading Lori Foster but this was awesome! I just could not put it down. Highly Reccomended.
