I received this ebook free from the author and let me tell it is a must buy! Oh my God!!! I absolutely loved Hardened. The story was great, I couldn't stop reading, went straight through the whole novella in one sitting.The novella gives people a chance to think about all those who are less fortunate and maybe make a difference in someone's life. Love that part of the proceeds from this book go to battered women's shelters. I become so engrossed in the story and was on the edge of my seat in the last chapter.Loved that Aedan kept showing up everywhere Heidi was. Can't wait for the next book to find out what happens??

I normally wouldn't read this being a novella series, usually means cliffhanger. I don't do books with cliffhangers. Something however made me want to dive in anyways. Holy cow! Talk about a cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers.....next book now please. I can't say much without giving anything away BUT please oh please NO!!

Dear whoever decided to call this a novella on Amazon - you're an idiot. This is the first book in a serial - which I'm effing sick of. I want to read a book that has an ending, not get strung along and have to buy six books across six months or a year. Grrrrr...

Some might like this but I don't. It was well written but I didn't get that is one of those split into multiple books and it is a cliffhanger.

3.5 star read. The book was "ok". What bothers me is that this a short book and the next book is a short book. Combine them. I'm on the fence if I will continue with this series.

I thought this book was excellent, until it ended abruptly with a cliffhanger. I know it was free, so I thought I'd check the second part out and purchase it. Only to find that this is an ongoing series. $3.99 an installment (except for the second one) for around 80/90 pages each. I would rather read one WHOLE COMPLETE book at a decent price than keep buying expensive installments.

Hard to get into.
Too much and not enough going on all at the same time. Plus, calling the people of New Orleans 'blacks' in the beginning of this book really turned me off. But I did finish this installment. I must say that even the cliffhanger ending doesn't make me want to read anymore though.

I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review. The story was wonderful! The author did a great job of keeping the story interesting while decreasing the amount of sexual heat. Overall great read.

This story has the experience of the glutz of Vegas with the sizzling beginnings of a romance. A young woman looking to create a photo expose about all Vegas has to offer stumbles into the world of a rich vegas playboy. lots of passion and a thrilling cliffhanger make this a fun story.

Heidi is a photojournalist looking to document the behind the scenes world in Vegas. Aedan seems to be around every corner. They have an inexplicable and immediate bond. Betty is from Heidi's home state and offers her a glimpse into the Vegas underbelly. This book ends in a cliffhanger.

I liked this more than I thought I would. Meaning that I happened to purchase on a whim. Boy am I glad I did! Yes there were parts that seemed contrived yet "it's Vegas" and it worked. Splendidly. Nice touch on the cliffhanger as I'll be purchasing the next installment shortly.

Ophelia Sikes is very detailed in her writing. I slowly began to realize Aedan's draw to Heidi as the story progressed. The characters are very well fleshed out. This book does end on a cliff hanger and there are five more parts to the story.

Awesome Start
Eager to start the next book in this series. It starts out fairly slow then ramps up close to the end. Then she leaves you on a cliffhanger.. Ohhh the horror! But Aeden and Heidi are awesome! I would definitely recommend this book to my friends!

The book was kind of slow to start with and basically went straight to the point of the plot, which wasn't a bad thing. The ending is cliff hanger and I was ready to scream when it was over.
