About the author

Alfie Deyes is an English Youtuber with 3 channels: PointlessBlog, PointlessBlogVlogs and PointlessBlogGames. Deyes has collaborated with a myriad of other Youtubers and has about 3 million subscribers as of September 2014. When Deyes was little, he wanted to grow up and pick up dog poo in parks, but has grown up to be an internet addict. He is terrible at getting out of bed in the morning and a fan of One Direction.

This is a rip off wreck this journal. It also recommends that you buy the iPhone app which if you are like me and don't have an iPhone you can't get so therefore not getting the whole experience with this book.

I will admit that I have a lot of issues with books and keeping them in pristine condition, so getting The Pointless Book 2 for review was a challenge for me, could I intentionally deface a book?
Armed with my trusty pens and sharpies (i own no felts or pencil crayons) I cracked the spine (literally) and began with the defacing.



There are a lot of pages to deface in The Pointless Book 2, so this review will only show a few for you as I still have a lot more to work on. I even uploaded a video to YouTube to show the process and also some live action art....well my attempt at art anyway.

The Pointless Book 2 has a lot of pages where you can free draw like my picture below. from drawing your favourite YouTuber, to what makes you happy, even a page to doodle. I am sharing with you my picture of things that remind me of the seasons, its obviously not the best drawing and I had to improvise with what supplies I had.....the sun is more gold than yellow :)



The Pointless Book 2 also has pages that tell you to draw or write a specific thing, 10 things to do this summer, 20 facts about you, cities you would like to visit, and even a recipe to make a muffin in a mug. Below is the picture I drew using only triangles.....the mouth was better in my head but looks quite evil in the picture. I have also added the video of this drawing too.

I'm a huge sucker for YouTubers and as most of my friends will know I have a little obsession with one called Alfie Deyes. After buying the Pointless Book 1 , I didn't think Alfie would be planning on bringing out another to be honest. I remember telling myself that I wouldn't even buy the first one because I'm not 12 anymore but hey ho loads of other people did who were my age so I thought why not? As for this book, it's practically the same style as the first just with different questions and activities (yes I said activities) I'm obviously still 12. As the title suggests it is pretty pointless but I bought it anyway. I would have loved this book when I was a teenager so I can see why it's so popular.

I really enjoyed the wreck of this journal kind of book. I haven't completed the tasks from the book 2, even book 1, bcoz I'm waiting for my cousins to join me too (my cousins love this journal too). But I've read the tasks and everything, plus this is my first wreck of this journal kind of book. Although I've read a lot of reviews about this book & the author, since I don't know about the rating bfr I buy & started this book, so...yeah..kind of happy with it.

I particularly enjoyed this book for review as it is like no other book that I have had the opportunity to read and review. The interactivity was immense and there was some many activities that I didn’t know which one to choose.

Add to the mix an app (WHICH IS FREE) from the app-store I was able to scan my book for videos which were made by Alfie especially for the book itself. It was unlike any other activity come DIY book that I have ever seen and I found that it was a relaxed tone when flicking through the pages – I could randomly pick a page and it was okay.

I particularly liked the fact that this book, was in fact, completely pointless!

This book is, similarly to the first, fun-filled and inventive. It's interactive and great for long car journeys!

This book is very similar to the first only with different pages, however there is a different feature with this book. There is an app you can download and hover over your pages to make some of your drawings become 3D.

It is the first book, but updated.

This was a really good continuation of the Pointless Book. It had all new activites, and all new videos from Alfie to go with it. I really enjoyed going through it with some of my friends, and laughing at all of the outrageous activities Alfie had included!
