Sand, sun and a summer setup years in the making. Falling in love was never part of the plan.
NATALIE
I know my mom means well, but buying a rundown B&B and volunteering me to renovate it isn’t exactly the summer of rest I had in mind. Making sure Andy comes home to help? That changes everything.
Once upon a time, I was hopelessly in love with my best friend and he never knew. All those feelings came rushing back the minute I saw him step out of his truck, along with a few new ones. The only thing harder than rebuilding this inn might be keeping myself from falling in love with him… again.
ANDREW
Coming back to Sunrise Bay because my mom asked? Expected. I’m a good son. Being blatantly set up with my high school crush? Classic mom move. But seeing Nat again after twenty years? Wow.
She reminds me of everything I should have said and everything I was too afraid to risk. She was always the one: my first regret and my first love. I lost her once, but this time I’m not letting her walk away. Unless she takes my heart with her.
A meddling mother matchmaking scheme creates a second chance for love in an old B&B and this summer, the sparks are flying faster than the drywall dust.
Perfect for readers who love second chances, he falls first, forced proximity, dog sidekicks, beach-town charm, and laugh-out-loud romcom chemistry.
Escape to Sunrise Bay this summer for a heartwarming romance about finally choosing the one that was always meant to be. You’ll fall in love with this wholesome mid-Atlantic midlife meet-cute.
The book is part of a series written by other authors: all standalones. This truly is funny, sweet, and charming. Two mothers that want nothing but the best for there children. There grown children at that: Natalie’s mother gets her to come home to Sunrise Bay for a little R&R but has yet to get it. It’s funny when they get to the B&B that her mom tells her she’s bought, and a man Natalie hasn’t seen since high school is at this house. What is going on she wonders? Both her and Andrew soon figure out what’s going on. There mothers have cooked up something. Andy can’t believe his mother, and her friend are trying to get him and Nat back together. They’re doing pretty good so far. It’s kind of funny to know they’ve cooked this up. A must read!
Second Chances on Sunrise Bay is part of The Midlife Meet Cute Beach Reads Series which includes standalone romantic comedies written by multiple authors.
I really enjoyed this sweet, entertaining second chance love story later in life. The characters are relatable and add in meddling mothers you get humor and funny moments for a delightful read.
I definitely recommend this cute read for an fun break in your day.
I want to thank Jess Hansen for an early copy and I'm sharing my voluntary opinion.
Again, another amazing read. When I tell you I was hooked. Natalie was there for vacation time, to sleep in, rest and not think about work. Until her mom woke her up and her new adventure began. Andrew was doing a favor for his mom who ask him to come home for a new project only to find the person he was helping was the person he had a love for a while. Second chances, two people meant to find their way back, two mothers looking out for their children and a cute dog to add to the mixed. Absolutely in love ♡
Got to love meddling mothers and adult children that are not upset about it! In fact Natalie and Andrew are already remembering twenty years ago with a lot of longing. Predictable and sweet, wonderful characters that never go against their mothers crazy antics
A quick fun read. Natalie and Andrew were high school sweethearts. Both went different directions and hadn't seen each other for over 20 years. Will they have their second chance as their mom's work at getting them reacquainted?
