So in a hidden location they are keep track of the bad guys, slowly aka fast falling head over heels. Kai is very bossy cuz he wants to keep his woman safe but they have one tiny mishap since Annika is getting stir crazy lol. We see the maybe guys in future books?
No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

Annika is exactly the kind of heroine you can root for right away—soft, kind, and completely out of her depth when she gets pulled into danger. I loved that she wasn’t hardened or overly cynical; she felt real, especially as a florist suddenly thrust into a world of violence and protection she never asked for.
Kai was everything you expect from a protective alpha bodyguard and more. Brooding, intense, and emotionally locked down, but completely undone by Annika from the very beginning. The contrast between his dangerous exterior and the way he reacts to her softness made their chemistry absolutely electric.
The forced proximity and protector dynamic worked perfectly here. Every moment between them carried tension—whether it was quiet scenes of him watching over her or the more heated interactions where his control starts to slip. The “she’s mine” energy is strong in this one, but it’s balanced with tenderness that makes their connection feel more emotional than just physical.

A captivating read, wonderful characters and plot that was captivating from start to finish
This was a simply captivating read and there was so much action and the characters Annika and Kai had a simply wonderful chemistry and I guarantee that other readers will find the same as me that once you begin reading it is impossible to put this book down until you reach the end.
Annika is a florist and she works hard and she loves her job and the pleasure that her flower arrangements and gifts bring to customers and as gifts that are purchased by others. Unfortunately, Annika witnessed something that she should not have and now it seems that the Shadow Syndicate want her dead and they are prepared to go to great lengths to ensure that she doe die.
Kai is a simply massive alien that is also a security expert and he has decided that he is going to keep her safe no matter what it takes and although initially it was a protective detail of sorts, within a very short time this giant gruff man soon realises that he in love with the tiny human and will do anything to ensure she remains safe, his devotion was simply wonderful to read.
The contrast between Kai who is such a large and gruff character is in contract to Annika who is tiny and sweet, she has a kind heart and often goes out of her way to help others and this definite contrast in characters make this a simply wonderful heartwarming read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Securing Her Innocence is the first book in the Secure & Sacred series by Cameron Hart. I am still not sure about this book and the story-line. You have to really suspend all belief in order to not laugh at some parts. But that is also what makes it a fun and entertaining story, even as you roll your eyes. The story finds Annika, a florist who owns her own shop, The Petal & Stem, hearing a sound like a shot and then a thud outside the shops back door one night she is working late. When she looks out she sees three men standing over a man who they have obviously killed. She shuts the door and hides thinking they will come for her next. So when a man storms through the front door she is not expecting it to be a good guy, Kai. He works for Aegis Security, which has been tracking therm but were too late to stop the hit. In order to keep Annika safe he takes her to a safe house and that kicks off the rest of the crazy and OTT story. Of course there are more than a few sizzling hot and passion filled scenes, and a sweet and sexy HEA.

I really wanted to like this book more than I did. The characters Annika and Kai were well written. The smexy times are hot..and there are a lot of them. The situation had real potential to be really good but I think because it's a novella there just wasn't enough time to fill it out. It also kind of jumps from one thing to the next with no information. For example, they set up a meeting with a Syndicate member...somehow he has a chip with info they need and Kai knows it well enough to prevent him swallowing it. Didn't make any sense to me. I absolutely love Cameron Hart. Normally her stories are everything I want plus some but this one is a miss for me.

This is book number 1 of the Secure & Sacred series and focuses on Kai and Annika. Annika had finally made her dream of owning her own flower shop into a successful reality when she unintentionally witnessed a crime by dangerous individuals. Kai took one look at Annika and knew that she was his to protect. He immediately took her under his protection and then had to work overtime to keep his obsession and possessiveness over Annika under wraps. This was a great story and a great introduction to the series.

This is another good start to a series. This is book one and it’s about Kai and Annika (love those names).
Annika is the “family disappointed” because her dream is to run her own flower shop. Which she’s doing but her parents don’t agree that she can make a career out of it. She’s determined to prove she can live out her dream. What she doesn’t expect is to hear something outside and it sending her on a journey with a hot, former military man. Kai is her bodyguard. He’s grumpy and is focusing on nothing more than the job of keeping her safe or that’s what she thinks anyway.
Will Kai get to show Annika what he really thinks of her? Will he be able to protect her?

No one writes protective, possessive over the top better than Cameron Hart! And I hope that Securing Her Innocence is the beginning of a new series for Cameron Hart. If the rest of the men are as possessive as Kai is when it comes to Annika, the spicy will be off the charts. Kai was hired to be Annika’s shield, but one look at her, he became her cage. I know that sounds bad, but this cage is made up of spice, love, adventure, and intrigue. You will not find a slow burn with this book!! Get your copy today!!

Annika is a florist and one night witnesses a crime, and ends up on the Syndicate's hit list. Kai ends up becoming her bodyguard, and sparks fly between them. I loved the grumpy/sunshine chemistry, how protective he was of her, and the danger that brought them together. This is a well written, bodyguard romance with likable characters, an action packed storyline, and a happily ever after. Be prepared for your kindle to be on fire while reading this quick read. It was pure possessive alpha protecting a heroine who had lots to prove. I loved that Kia saw Annika for the emotional damage she carried and was open to adjusting to help her through it, even after he screwed up at one point. It was so sweet to see them be partners and a great HEA.

Flower Girl

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked how Kai rescues Annika after she witnesses a murder. I liked she helped in removing the danger to herself and others. Along the way they fall in love.

Very cute easy read. Annika and Kai were so perfect for each other I loved how she opened him up to love and he supported her and was forever a bodyguard even when the assignment was over. Epilogue and bonus epilogue were both adorable.

The author has given us a fast-paced story that pulls us into the lives of Annika and Kai. The story keeps us turning the pages with danger, suspense, connection, action and steam.

A fast paced steamy romance where the bodyguard can’t seem to keep his hands off his detail. Liked that he falls fast and hard, and doesn’t waver on his intentions once he’s claimed Annika.

Securing Her Innocence by Cameron Hart is Book 1 in a new series Secure & Sacred. It's a quick 'n sassy insta-lust-to-love story with a big burly bodyguard (previously a soldier) and a curvy florist that witnessed a mob hit. It has ALL the protector vibes from Kai and innocence (but knows what she wants ṣëx!) vibes from Annika. A tiny bit of drama & action with some fun ṣëxƴ tïmës. 😏 It has an Epilogue that is 10 years later.
⚠️ This was overlooked & killed the authenticity of Kai being a soldier...Military Personnel would use Military Time aka 24 hrs when describing anything! (Yes, I dropped a Star because of it.)
