Janice Cole Hopkins grew up in the Appalachian Mountains. As an only child, she learned to love the stories of Appalachian culture, and when she started school, she discovered a even wider world of stories through reading. She was writing her own by third grade and had published poetry by eighth grade. After graduating from Appalachian State University, she first wrote for magazines because the shorter articles were more manageable while she taught school. She retired early and became her mother’s caregiver, which is when she wrote that first novel, and she hasn’t stopped since. Soon she will have over a hundred books listed on Amazon with more to come. href="https://www.facebook.com/JaniceColeHo...
Chloe Disabled Daughters, Book 3 By: Janice Cole Hopkins Narrated by: Douglas Birk, Jennifer Groberg
It's Chloe's turn to find a husband, and she knows what she wants. She just has to find a man that fits the bill. Chloe has always wanted the finer things in life and if she marries well, she should be taken care of. She has a few ideas who may be a good fit, but she finally makes a decision who to court. Mr Watson wants to marry Chloe, but the question is why. He can provide her with the life she wants, but his need to control her is overpowering. Despite wanting the life, Chloe is strong willed and enjoys volunteering at the school with Mr Burke. Will that end if she marries him? Will she be able to deal with her bossy mother-in-law? Will she be happy? I loved this story! Chloe in the first two books was a bit of a brat, and this book showed her there is so much more to life than she thought. True love and trust is so important and between her faith, family and love she finds what she is looking for.
Douglas Birk and Jennifer Groberg narrate and I just love these two together. They have a good chemistry that makes the story flow. There voices have a calm sound that keeps me engaged and together their story telling is fabulous.
A wonderful audiobook from one of my favorite authors! The third book in this series of disabled daughters. I loved the characters as usual and enjoyed knowing Chloe’s sisters were still doing well. I was a little worried about Chloe because it seemed she wasn’t grown up enough to be looking for a husband. She was also worried about marrying well enough she wouldn’t have to worry about money and working. Will she come to her senses and let God change her or will she be stuck in her stubborn ways? I loved all three books of this series. I received an audiobook from the author but was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
Great book. I loved that this author had disabled characters in this book. She had them leading realistic lives which was great. I hope she writes more books like these.
Another wonderful audiobook to listen to. Chloe, Disabled Daughters and the last in the series. Chloe is the youngest daughter to wed and the most interested in money. She agreed to marry Mr Watson, but learns that he is a cad and a nasty man. Plus, Chloe sees through his nasty habits and attitude. She sees more to her liking with Liam, the school teacher. Sorry that the series is ending, but enjoyed all three stories. I was given a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.
