3.5! Thank you to the author for sending me this book!! I thought it was a good read! I really loved seeing Callum’s story in the beginning - often the reader is just told a background of a character like this and not shown but I thought it added great depth to the book. That being said, there were a few outlying / side plots that distracted from the main plot or were just a bit confusing - mainly Riker (what a great story that I hope develops later on); Sean Murphy’s character (we’re never told of a rivalry or competition until the kidnapping?); and Liam (hoping this gets built upon, but seriously what’s his deal? Even at the end?) but overall, I thought it was good and am interested to see the series develop!

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 3.5/5

Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Blood and Betrayal was an enjoyable, fast paced mafia romance that surprised me with how much I enjoyed the relationships, not just the romance, but the friendships as well.

One of my favorite parts of this book was the bond between Callum and Riker, as well as Bella and Sarah. Their friendships felt genuine and well established, and I appreciated seeing characters who clearly cared for and supported one another. Sometimes those relationships get overshadowed in romance novels, but here they added a lot of heart to the story.

I also really enjoyed both main characters. Bella was exactly the kind of FMC I love reading about: capable, feminine, and fully able to take care of herself. She’s not a damsel in distress, and I appreciated that she maintained her strength throughout the story. Callum was probably my favorite character overall. Beneath the mafia exterior, he’s surprisingly soft and caring, especially when it comes to Bella. I found his backstory interesting and honestly wished we’d gotten even more insight into his military past.

The romance was sweet and believable, though definitely on the faster side. I’m usually someone who enjoys a little more build up, and there were moments where the relationship progressed more quickly than I expected. Bella also seemed to accept certain aspects of Callum’s life faster than I personally would have. That said, their chemistry worked for me, and some of my favorite scenes were the quieter moments where Callum was taking care of Bella and showing his softer side.

The pacing was probably the biggest reason this wasn’t a higher rated read for me. While I flew through the book, I occasionally wanted more time spent developing certain emotional moments and relationship beats. However, if this series is heading toward interconnected standalones, the quicker pacing makes a bit more sense.

I also found myself invested in the side characters. Matti quickly became a favorite, and I’m already hoping he stays on the right side of things throughout the series. I’m suspicious of Liam, though I’m not entirely convinced things are what they seem with him. I’m also very interested in learning more about Sarah and Jake’s history, especially some of the unanswered questions surrounding Jake’s knowledge of Doc.

One thing I really appreciated was that the spice never overshadowed the story. As someone who prefers romance with emotional connection and a lighter spice level, this hit a nice balance. The chemistry was there without the book relying solely on spicy scenes to carry the relationship.

Overall, Blood and Betrayal was a solid mafia romance with lovable characters, strong friendships, and a sweet romance at its core. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for future books from Aly Nicole because this world and its characters left me curious for more.

If you’re looking for a mafia romance with a protective hero, a capable heroine, meaningful friendships, and lower spice (around a 2/5), I’d recommend giving this one a try!

ARC Review – Blood & Betrayal by Aly Nicole

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.5 Stars)

First, thank you to Aly Nicole for providing me with an advance review copy of Blood and Betrayal. I appreciate the opportunity to read and review this book voluntarily.

Blood and Betrayal is a mafia romance that follows Callum and Bella. Callum’s life is shaped by circumstances beyond his control after being taken in by the Caruso crime family as a teenager. Although he never planned on becoming part of that world, it ultimately becomes his reality. After serving in the military and training as a medic, he returns to work as the family’s trusted doctor.

When Callum meets Bella during a night out, the connection between them is immediate. Unfortunately, just as their relationship begins to develop, Bella learns the truth about Callum’s ties to the mafia and wants nothing to do with that lifestyle. Before either of them can fully figure out where they stand, Bella finds herself caught in a dangerous situation that puts her directly in the middle of a conflict between rival crime families.

As Callum searches desperately for Bella, secrets begin to unravel within the Caruso family itself. With betrayal lurking closer than expected, the story combines romance, suspense, and family loyalty while keeping readers guessing about who can truly be trusted.

Overall, I enjoyed the story and found myself invested in the characters and the mystery surrounding the traitor within the family. The setup for the sequel definitely caught my attention, and I’m excited to see where the series goes next. I’m especially interested in learning more about the rival mafia figure introduced toward the end of the book, as well as hopefully getting an update on Riker’s story.

My biggest issue was the pacing. The story moved very quickly, and I often found myself wishing certain events had been explored in more detail rather than rushing from one major plot point to the next. I think spending more time developing some of those moments would have made the emotional impact even stronger.

The romance itself was enjoyable, but there wasn’t a lot of romantic tension building throughout the story. The spice doesn’t really arrive until the final portion of the book, and while it isn’t closed-door, it’s fairly mild and not particularly detailed.

Overall, this was an enjoyable mafia romance with an intriguing setup, plenty of action, and a sequel hook that left me wanting to know what happens next.

This book doesn’t just flirt with danger… it drags you into a dimly lit room, locks the door, and hands you a glass of something strong while secrets start spilling.

From the first page, Blood & Betrayal sinks its claws in and refuses to let go. The stakes? Ruthless. The tension? A slow, tightening wire around your ribs.

Callum is the kind of MMC who feels carved out of shadows and survival. Taken in young, shaped by power, and trapped in a world where loyalty is currency and betrayal is inevitable… watching him start to question everything was chef’s kiss level addictive. His internal conflict hits hard, and every decision feels like it could cost him everything.

And then there’s Arabella—walking straight into chaos thinking it’s just another night out. Her story unfolds like a match struck in the dark. What starts as curiosity quickly spirals into something far more dangerous, and I loved how she wasn’t just a bystander in the storm.

The chemistry? Sharp, magnetic, and laced with tension. Not rushed. Not easy. Exactly how it should be in a world built on secrets and blood ties.

What really stands out is the atmosphere. The author builds this gritty, high-stakes underworld where every conversation feels loaded and every alliance feels temporary. You know betrayal is coming… you just don’t know from where—and that anticipation keeps you flipping pages like your life depends on it.

And that tagline?
Power. Blood. Loyalty.
Yeah… every single one of those themes delivers.

✨ Why it’s a 5-star read:

* Morally gray, layered characters
* Tension that simmers then strikes
* Twists that keep you guessing
* A dark, immersive world you can’t escape
* That constant, looming question: who’s going to betray the family?

By the end, I was side-eyeing everyone and trusting absolutely no one… which is exactly the vibe this book promises.

If you love mafia romance with bite, secrets that unravel like a thread you shouldn’t pull, and characters who walk the line between loyalty and destruction—this one’s for you.

Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC copy

This dark mafia follows Callum and Arabella’s story. Callum comes from a rough home life and has found himself homeless at young age and is taken under the wing of the Caruso Mafia Family. He does what he needs to survive and has a deep sense of loyalty to those he loves. He’s mafia and ex-military and return to be the mafia family doc.

One night at Caruso’s, the familia bar, enters Arabella, known as Bella, by her friends. She’s beautiful and instantly noticed as her and her girlfriends are celebrating her best friend’s engagement.

Callum usually prefers no attachment hook-ups because of his lifestyle but with Bella it feels different. Sparks fly between them and they can both feel this undeniable pull towards one another that neither can ignore however this brings Bella into Callum’s world.

There’s a traitor in their midst giving away business shipment details and Callum is tasked with finding the leak, leaving it hard for Callum to trust anyone. They need Callum out of the way and in the process, this leads to Bella being kidnapped. Callum will stop at nothing and go head-to-head with anyone to save her, bring her home and keep her safe.

This was my first book from Aly Nicole and I found it an easy, enjoyable read and I completed it in one sitting. I do enjoy a good mafia romance and it had the feel I was looking for with mild spice. I especially love that the book had different character POV giving more insight into what they’re feeling and how they are handling the situations they found themselves in.

Due to the length the story, it is fast-paced and hoping to get a bit more details of other characters’ backgrounds as the series continues. Looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series when they are available

⭐️ ARC REVIEW ⭐️
Blood and Betrayal by Aly Nicole

Bloody and Betrayal is a fast-paced mafia romance filled with secrets, betrayal, danger, and emotional tension that kept me hooked from the very beginning.

The story follows Callum, who was pulled into a dangerous criminal world at a young age and now finds himself questioning everything he thought loyalty meant. When Arabella crosses paths with him after a seemingly innocent night out, both of their lives become entangled in ways neither of them expected.

What I loved most about this book was the connection between Callum and Arabella. Their chemistry felt intense and believable, and I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop alongside the growing tension within the family dynamics. The found family elements added emotional depth, while the constant suspense kept the pacing strong throughout.

I also really appreciated the worldbuilding. The mafia setting felt immersive without becoming overwhelming, and the high stakes made every decision feel important.

There were a few moments where I wanted slightly more depth in some emotional scenes and secondary character development, but overall this was such a gripping and entertaining read from start to finish.

I'd happily read more from Aly Nicole in the future.

Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC copy!

Blood & Betrayal is a dark mafia romance following Callum and Arabella, and this book pulled me in way faster than I expected. Between the family loyalty, secrets, betrayal, and constant tension, there was always something happening that kept me interested.

Callum was definitely my favorite part of the story so far. He has that protective, morally grey mafia MMC energy while still having moments where you can tell he genuinely cares about the people close to him. I also really liked the pressure and tension surrounding the betrayal within the Caruso family because it added another layer to the story outside of just the romance.

Arabella getting pulled into Callum’s world made the chemistry between them even better. Their relationship felt intense without feeling overly rushed, and I liked that there were emotional moments mixed in with all the suspense and drama happening around them.

The dual POV worked really well and made both characters feel more real, especially with how fast-paced the story is. It was definitely one of those books that’s easy to binge because there’s constantly something happening.

Tropes/vibes to expect:
🖤 Mafia romance
🖤 Morally grey MMC
🖤 Protective/possessive MMC
🖤 Dual POV
🖤 Found family vibes
🖤 Suspense & betrayal
🖤 Touch her and die energy
🖤 Fast-paced romance

Overall, if you like darker romance with tension, loyalty, and a morally grey man who would absolutely ruin lives for her, this is definitely worth checking out.

So thank you so much to the Author for giving me and advanced copy.

I really enjoyed the start of this it was fripping and slightly dark. The MMC pulled me in with how he developed although I would have appreciated seeing more about him reather then the time skips so I felt that I couldn't get a true feel for his charictor. The side plots of the book where very much a blindside and constantly hinted at but then left alone with nothing happening about them. The charictors that the MMC didn't like for whatever reasion where always 'shady' with no real explanations or reasion to this and due to not seeing a lot of his backstory or even much depth to him he started off feeling for him then it felt reather flat as well as there was a hint at what he went through but it never effected him and never showed more then a few chapters.
The FMC was very bland and not a lot of depth to her or even much thought behind her in my opinion. She felt very flat and just was like okay, this guys smoking hot lets go I'll accept whatever happens.
the whole story started off strong then in the middle it lost my intrest as it went reather boring then the ending felt rushed and although a lot happened you never really got a sense for the action in the sceanes due to the lack of discriptions.
For and upper YA book that i feel that this was aimed at (16-20 year olds) I think it was very well written, however I felt that if this was a more adult book it was really poor and would have only given it a 2 star rating.

First of all I just want to thank Aly for entrusting me with an ARC of Blood and Betrayal, it’s been an absolute privilege.

Blood and Betrayal is a quick paced, dark mafia romance that follows Callum and Arabella’s (Bella’s) story. The Dual POV really helps you connect with the characters better and gives you a more in depth insight with how they’re feeling and managing the different situations they face.
Callum is dark and broody and desperate to survive the life he found himself in, Bella is his chance of a happier future but that comes with a serious amount of risk….family first, family always!
I feel that Aly created the perfect balance between the mafia and romance element and by keeping the chapters short it really helped to keep the pace and interest going. There were more serious elements woven into the story around loyalty and betrayal which delivered more emotional impact as the story progressed which I felt was needed.
The only reason it didn’t hit 5 stars was I felt that maybe we could have had a bit more of Bellas back story, other than that it was a hit for me.
Really looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series when Aly has them ready for us.

I received an ARC for this in exchange for an honest review.

FINALLY, an ARC I actually ate up. This is a super quick dark romance prequel that follows a young man’s journey into a mafia family after leaving home at a young age. As our MMC navigates his way through uncertainties and betrayal within the mafia family, he meets a girl and they immediately hit it off.

Although a fairly instant relationship, I felt like it was just so wholesome, it didn’t feel forced and I actually loved the FMC so much. To me she was relatable and actually had some common sense about her, unlike so many insufferable FMCs.

Despite it being such a short book, I feel like everything was covered really well and not rushed at all. As I said, the relationship is definitely quick but it makes sense with such a short book. I would’ve loved to see this be made into a bigger story because I feel like the potential to grow into this relationship a bit more was definitely there. I’m a sucker for a torturous love story.
I do feel like most of the book was predictable but somehow it didn’t take away from the experience. It was still such a consuming read.
We are left on a little bit of a cliff hanger and book 2 could definitely go a few ways as some of the plot holes are left to be filled.

Some of my favourite tropes in this one include:
Touch her and die
Mafia
Found family

Overall, this one packs a good punch.

Thank you Aly Nicole for the ARC.

Blood & Betrayal is a dark mafia book that follows Callum and Arabella.

Tropes to expect -
🔥Mafia
🔥Morally grey MMC
🔥Found family
🔥Forbidden romance
🔥Possessive MMC
🔥Dual POV

Callum, our MMC, runs away from home at the age of 15, is taken in by the Caruso mafia family and given a life that is somehow better than what he left behind. He does what needs to survive and enters the military to become a medic to return as a doctor for the mafia.

Arabella, our FMC, during a girl's night out celebrating her best friend's engagement, walks into the mafias bar and catches the eye of Callum. The chemistry burns, its magnetic and won't let go.

There is a rat in the mafia, spilling all their secrets and their shipments are being compromised. Callum is tasked to find out who is the traitor in their midst making it hard for him to trust those around him. Who could it be?

This is my first book from Aly Nicole and from the outset it had me hooked. It is a very fast paced book and enjoyable with mild spice. There was plenty of twists and betrayals in this book that kept it interesting. I hope in the next books they are bit longer with some more in-depth details around characters and their backgrounds.

Otherwise, Aly Nicole, beautiful book!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Blood & Betrayal absolutely delivered everything I wanted from a mafia romance—danger, loyalty, family drama, and enough twists to keep me glued to the pages.
From the very beginning, the tension was palpable. The world Aly Nicole created is filled with power struggles, secrets, and betrayals that constantly keep you guessing who can truly be trusted. Every decision feels like it carries weight, and the stakes only get higher as the story unfolds.
What I loved most was the balance between the romance and the mafia elements. The chemistry was intense, the emotional moments hit hard, and the loyalty themes woven throughout the story made the relationships feel even more meaningful. When trust is a luxury and betrayal lurks around every corner, every connection feels earned.
The pacing kept me hooked, the drama never felt forced, and I found myself saying "just one more chapter" far too many times.
If you love: 🖤 Mafia romance
🌹 Family loyalty and power struggles
🔥 Intense chemistry
🔫 Dangerous secrets
❤️ High emotional stakes
then Blood & Betrayal needs to be on your TBR immediately.
A gripping, addictive read that kept me invested from start to finish. Aly Nicole definitely knows how to deliver drama, tension, and heart.

As someone who doesn't typically gravitate towards mafia romances, Blood and Betrayal completely caught me off guard, in the best possible way. From the very first chapter, I was hooked.

What really stood out to me was Callum. Instead of the usual overinflated ego and misogynistic tendencies that can sometimes plague the genre, Aly Nichole gave us a male lead who wasn't afraid to be vulnerable. His emotional depth and humanity made him infinitely more compelling, and his relationship with Bella felt all the more authentic because of it.

And Bella? Absolutely phenomenal. She's sassy, strong-willed, and refuses to lose herself, even when surrounded by dangerous men and impossible situations. I loved that she never sacrificed her identity for the sake of the romance. The feminist themes woven throughout the story felt natural and empowering, and watching her become Callum's greatest weakness was incredibly satisfying.

What elevates this beyond a typical mafia romance is the attention given to the characters' individual traumas, emotions, and personal growth. The romance is wonderful, but it's the character development that truly shines. Every victory, setback, and emotional breakthrough felt earned.

And honestly, Bella summed up exactly why I adored her with this line:

"What was I supposed to do? Hide in my room? I'm not completely helpless."

This book pulled me in fast and did not let go. The mix of crime, loyalty, danger, and betrayal made it impossible to stop reading because every chapter felt like something was about to explode. The tension stayed high the entire time, and I kept waiting to see who would crack first.

Callum was such an interesting main character because you can really feel how trapped he is between loyalty and survival. Watching him question everything while still trying to protect the people around him added a lot of emotional weight to the story. His relationship with Arabella also brought a softer side to all the chaos, but the danger surrounding them never fully disappears.

I really liked the family dynamic in this book because it was intense in every sense of the word. Loyalty means everything, but it also comes with control, secrets, and consequences. Every character seemed to have their own agenda, which made the suspense even better because it constantly felt like betrayal could come from anywhere.

The pacing was strong, the tension kept building, and the darker atmosphere worked really well for the story. If you enjoy mafia romance, dangerous family politics, morally grey characters, and high stakes drama, this is definitely one to pick up.

Thank you to the author for giving me the ability to read this book before it was released.

This was insane from start to finish.

Callum is a military trained medic who works for the mafia. A runaway at 15, he’s taken in by the Caruso family and given a life that, somehow, is better than the one he was living.

Arabella (such a cute name by the way), owns her own veterinarian clinic and happens to run into Callum one evening out.

Sparks fly, lines are crossed, and shit goes DOWN. This book was good.

I will say, I feel like we got a lot of information about Callum. He was a really well-rounded character. We had so much backstory for him that he jumped off the page. However, the same cannot be said for Arabella. She didn’t seem like a main character and there wasn’t much to her story as there was Callum.

I enjoyed reading Callum’s chapters much more than Arabella’s. I wish there was MORE too. Like longer scenes, more interaction between Bella and Callum to build their relationship. It felt rushed in some parts.

Otherwise, this book was suuuuper good and I had to know how it ended.

Thank you to the author for sharing this ARC with me.

Blood and betrayal is a mafia romance that can honestly appeal to anybody.
While it touches on mafia buisness, drugs and women auctions, it is not a gory book at all and has an HEA.

The story introduces us to The Caruso family - specifically Callum who was taken in at 15, and is now the mafia Doc.

I absolutely loved reading of Callum’s background, as well as his friendship with Riker - in my opinion this was one of the best parts of the story, and I would love to read more of Riker!

Bella is a veterinarian. She “accidentally” walks in The Caruso’s bar on a girl’s night out, where she meets Callum.
While sparks fly straight away, Bella is kidnapped shortly after, with the second half of the book focusing on Bella’s rescue, as well as the unveiling of secrets and betrayal within The Family.

Overall this was a quick, easy read.
The writing style is very easy to follow, while keeping you interested.
The spacing of the chapters is also very easy to “pick up and pur down” at will.
This would make the perfect beach read for a lot of people!

I am so happy I was able to arc read this book! The chapters were the perfect length and the story honestly had be hooked through the whole book! I absolutely loved Callum and Arabella!

Callum is the MMC, he has survived so much having a rough start to his life and being on the streets when he gets rescued by the Caruso Family (who are apart of the mafia). Even after all of this he's the most loyal character you'll ever read to the ones he loves!

Arabella is the FMC who gets pulled into Callum's world and things spiral into something far more dangerous to the point where she can't leave. But she is such a strong person and character!!

And the chemistry between the two! There's just such an easiest between them that I love.

What really stands out is the atmosphere that the author had build throughout the book, every conversation feels loaded and every alliance feels temporary. You can feel something is coming but you just don't know from where-and that anticipation keeps you flipping pages like your life depends on it.

This was an easy 5-star for me!

Blood and Betrayal completely consumed me. I picked this up, and suddenly my entire day disappeared because there was absolutely no way I was putting it down.

This gave me all the Mobland and Tulsa King vibes with the crime family dynamics, loyalty, danger, power struggles, and a morally gray man you know is bad news… but you fall for him anyway right along with Arabella.

Callom was possessive, intense, protective, and walking red flag territory in the best mafia romance way possible. And Arabella trying to fight her feelings for the “bad boy” made the tension even better. Their chemistry had me hooked from the beginning.

I also loved the found family elements mixed in with all the betrayal, secrets, and forbidden romance. The dual POV worked so well because it let you see both the emotional side and the chaos unfolding around them.

If you love mafia romance with morally gray characters, danger, obsession, loyalty, and “this is a terrible idea but I support it anyway” energy… definitely pick this one up.

3.75/5⭐️ Rounded up

Let me preface this review: mafia romance isn’t a book I would normally pick up but I wanted to try something new.

Blood & Betrayal depicts Callum and Arabella’s romance with ties to the Caruso mafia. Callum had a dark childhood, an even more tainted teenager phase. Arabella is just a girl who walked into a bar and got a life of chaos.

This was a fast-paced, one sitting read which I HIGHLY enjoyed. The spice content was mild but the romance was real and not over the top which was perfect. I loved the multiple POVs - it allowed more emotion to come into such a fast read. The only problem with a fast read is that there isn’t enough time for world/character building and I wish we had more background on Arabella. I would say the book did feel a little rushed at times.

All in all - a solid mafia romance. I just wanted some of the chapters to go a little deeper so there was more reader connection with the book.

Thank you again to the author, Aly Nicole, for giving me the chance to read this novel before release.

Thank you so much to the author Aly Nicole for an advanced copy.

Callum had a horrible home life growing up with a drug dealing father and a despondent mother. When he was fifteen he finally got out and was living on the streets. Then one day he is taken in by the Caruso family and he begins working for the mob. He cannot believe this is where his life is. Bella owns a veterinary clinic and she is out for her best friend’s bachelorette party when she meets Callum. Their interaction is cut short so Callum shows up at her house the next day to take her out. He leaves out what he does for a living so when he shows up at her clinic with a colleague with a bullet hole. After she helps him she does not want to see him again. When she begins receiving threats she goes to him and then they are ambushed.

This was a fast paced read! I really enjoyed the characters and seeing what made them who they are. The mafia elements were great and definitely kept me on my toes the entire time! I read this in one day because I had to know what was going to happen! I cannot wait for the next book!

Ok- wow! 🔥 I picked this book up and didn't put it down until I finished it!!

What a great book to begin the series. And I LOVE a good mafia book!

Callum is the MMC. He had a rough start to life, living on the streets as a teenager. When he's picked up by a mafia boss and brought into the family. He is totally a loyal to the core type of guy... but he will also f*ck someone up if he needs to!!

Arabella is the FMC. She is pulled into the mafia world when Callum notices her in a bar. But once she's noticed- there's no going back.

Someone in the mafia family is telling their secrets and heists are getting compromised. Who's the rat? This is an action from the start book! I was totally pulled in by the characters and plot!!

There is some spice in this book but it's pretty mild 🫑

Love these tropes:
🖤mafia
💕found family
🖤morally grey MMC
💕forbidden romance
🖤possessive MMC
💕forced proximity

⭐️⭐️⭐️ FIND HER

Blood and Betrayal by Aly Nicole had a storyline that really pulled me in. I liked the concept of a boy taken in by the mafia, given a place to belong, but never truly wanting that life. Watching him adapt to his environment and make the most of it added an interesting layer to his character.

The connection between the FMC and MMC felt real, and I loved that he would have absolutely burned the world down for her. That intensity and loyalty definitely stood out and kept me invested in their relationship.

That said, I do wish certain parts had gone a bit deeper. There were moments that felt like they could have had more emotional weight or development. Since it’s a shorter book, some things felt a little rushed, which made it harder to fully connect in certain areas.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read with a strong premise and solid romance, but I just wanted a little more depth to really make it shine.

Blood and betrayal is a fast-paced mafia read featuring Callum and Arabella. Callum is the Caruso crime family’s doctor. Arabella is a local veterinarian who goes for a girls night with friends at Caruso’s bar where she dances with the devilishly, handsome Callum. As their whirlwind romance unfolds, so does the complications that come with mafia boyfriends.

I gave this book 4 out of 5 ⭐️. This is the first book in the series so the world is pretty small. I felt like the characters could use a little bit more background, but perhaps that will come as the series unfolds. The intimate scenes were very tame compared to what I read on a regular basis, so if you’re looking for spice and you’re used to very spicy books, this is very vanilla but if you’re just dipping your toe into the romance world, this is a good place to start.

As you read, you may feel like you’re jumping around a lot, just keep reading things start to make sense the deeper you get into the book.

Arc review- Thank you Aly Nicole for my advanced reader copy. 4⭐️

The book was good and kept pulling me back in.

I want to say I had high hopes that Callum would find a way out. I still hope he does but it seems less likely that he will.

I wish Bella fought against Sean a bit more but I understand she wasn't in the right spot to do so. Especially with her being injured from the car accident.

Enzo turned out to be a snake and I feel for Callum but he deserved what he got.

I want to see more of Callum and Bella together. They make such a cute couple together. I want to see more of how gentle Callum is with her.

I hope we get to find out what happened to Ryker after he got out. But like lets not get him back into the mafia.

As for Sean I hope he gets what he deserves. I also hope its Callum who puts his lights out. If you know what I mean.

I'm excited for book 2 and getting to read Matti's story.

Firstly, a huge thank you to Aly Nicole for allowing me the opportunity to read this e-ARC.

Blood & Betrayal is the perfect quick read for any mafia romance readers who want books about the criminal underworld, betrayal and a MMC who would burn the world down for you.

Callum is the MMC of our dreams; protective, a bit possessive and ready to bring the entire world down if Arabella asked him too. From leaving a bad childhood, to entering a world that made him into the man and medic that he is, Callum had accepted that his life belonged to the Caruso Family and not to himself or anyone else.

Arabella is simply a vet trying to get on with her life and have a night out with the girls.

The connection between Callum and Arabella is instant and exciting to watch play out.

However, it is the side characters that made me wish this book would never end. There are still secrets going on in the Caruso Family and I cannot wait to see what Aly has in store for them next.

I absolutely loved this book! 🔥
I didn’t want to put it down and was completely pulled into Callum’s life from the very beginning. Callum is the perfect protective MMC, thrown into the mafia world at a young age, and Bella is a sassy, independent FMC veterinarian who perfectly balances him out.

I loved how they were instantly drawn to each other, and Callum’s almost immediate possessiveness 🥵

The suspense, twists, and reveals kept me hooked the entire time. I already know this story isn’t over, and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

Thank you to the author for allowing me to ARC read this book.
If you love mafia romance with tension, chemistry, and suspense, this is definitely one to pick up!

Mafia romances are one of my favorite genres. I loved this one because it wasn't your typical straight to bed and they are married. I don't want to spoil it for you. I will say the mafia/military was not one I was expecting! Callum was one of my favorite mafia gentleman. Arabella love her name and love that she wasnt your typical blonde and blue eyed girl. I loved that she was similar to me and not one that was part of a clique. 10/10 would recommend! Aly I loved the book and thank you for the opportunity to read it ❤️. I will definitely be buying a physical copy when it is released! I will be recommending it to everyone I can!

ARC Review:

This mafia-military romance was an enjoyable quick read with a solid foundation and a storyline that kept me interested throughout. The characters were very likable, and I enjoyed the dynamic between them.

That said, I did feel like certain parts of the story could have benefited from a bit more detail and background development to make some moments feel more immersive and complete. As an avid mafia romance reader, I also would have loved a little more spice, since the romance side stays fairly light throughout the story.

Overall, though, this was a good read and one I think readers who enjoy mafia romance with military elements and lower spice levels would enjoy.

This book was such an easy binge read for me. Callum's traumatic backstory and the way he was pulled into the mafia world made his character feel so layered, and his connection with Bella was instant but somehow still believable. The chemistry between them was honestly 10/10.

The tension and stakes stayed high the entire time, and I genuinely could not figure out who to trust. Every character felt suspicious in some way and the constant betrayal/paranoia made the story so immersive.

If you like mafia romance with high tension, family loyalty, betrayal, and a touch of obsession, definitely add this one to your list. I already know l'll be reading more from Aly Nicole.

ARC Review with small spoiler!!

This is a fast paced mafia romance and a great read! As far as spice I would give it a 🌶️

Sunshine FMC, morally gray MMC, touch her and die, betrayal, and found family.

There were times I wish the author had gotten a little more descriptive to make the story juicier but still enjoyed it nonetheless.

Callum is one dreamy man!! He and Bella are perfect together! Talk about morally gray and touch her you die! Callum growling at anyone, even Matti, I loved it!

The shower scene is absolutely my favorite in the book. So beautiful and intimate, before it even gets spicy.

I am excited for the next book in this series coming in the Fall!
