Who proofed your writing? Chapter six first paragraph and Chapter seven first paragraph is the same. A couple of misspelled words. Characters and story sweet.
The author does a good job of writing and crafted an interesting story. On that basis alone I would have given her five stars. Unfortunately, she succumbed to a popular marketing ploy. This first "book" ends the story at a point where none of the key plot lines have been resolved. So this "book" is more like a sample, giving the reader the first few chapters, enough to get you interested, but ending where if you want ANY resolution you must get the subsequent volume. That forced me to tear off the top two stars.
Don't get me wrong, I love/hate cliff hangers as much as the next person. And, as an author myself, I recognize the value of leaving threads dangling at the end of a book (or story) to tantalize a reader into picking up the sequel. However, I believe that when an author markets something as a "book" it should contain a definite beginning, middle and end, even if some plot lines remain unresolved until the next installment. My problem with this one is that we got a beginning and were headed toward the middle when I hit the last page.
What a sweet cute story. The editing could have been better, and the cover leads you to think it's going to be sexier than it is, but overall a good story.
The ranch was home to her even though her family didn't own it. Ever since she eas a bbc.co girl her and Tanner Davis were friends. They had big dreams that enclosed then but when he graduated he explained he wad going off to college and far way leavening her behind then college ended and he moved further away really breaking her heart she got married and had a son shortly after her husband left she returned back to her home town and started working at the ranch where she felt was home. Learning all the management side of the farm. But Tanner shows up and now what was her position going to be for her and her son. Time would tell.
"Taken By The Cowgirl" by Alice Parker is a short read about a woman named Libby who falls in love with her best friend Tanner, but their relationship falls apart when he leaves for college. She moves on with her life and continued working at his parents ranch where she now manages it. He shows up and shakes up her belief that she has left him in the past. Is their a chance to fix what was once destroyed or will it stay in their memories?
I really liked this short story and hope that there will be more to their story in a future book. There were some minor typos and a editing issue but it did not take away from my enjoyment of the story.
I enjoyed this book as far as it went. I felt it left me hanging, and not complete. I usually like series books, but each book is complete, and the next book keeps the same setting and some of the people, but expands on new or different people to expand on. It gives you a greater or wider feel of the subject. I really don't care to be left completely hanging, wanting to know what happened.
I wasn't happy with this book at all. When I started out I thought it would been a nice sweet story. But what I found was a woman point of view. To much explaining and not enough talking. Glad to see it was short. I wasted an hour of my day.
