At eighteen, I left Haven Valley with Leo Courtright’s final words ringing in my ears. I hate you. I swore I’d never come back to the small town—or the boy—I’d left behind. But when the man stalking me gets too close, I run to the only place that’s ever felt safe. Home. Coming back meant seeing the blue-eyed boy who was once my entire world. Only Leo isn’t a boy anymore. He’s colder. Harder. And he still looks at me like I wrecked his life. Returning home also means revealing the secret I’ve kept for eight years. He has Leo’s eyes. His inquisitive nature. And he can’t wait to meet his dad. When Leo shows up at my front door to welcome his new neighbor, the second his gaze lands on the little boy behind me, everything changes. The man who swore he hates me is suddenly everywhere—fixing broken locks, watching over us, asking questions I can’t answer without risking the fragile life I built to protect my son. The more time we spend together, the harder it becomes to deny what’s always been between us. Because some first loves stay with you forever. Some people never stop feeling like home. And maybe, after everything we lost, together is where we belong. If the past—and the danger chasing us—doesn’t destroy us first. A heartbreaking second-chance romance about first love, buried secrets, and the kind of once-in-a-lifetime love that never really lets you go.
There’s something so addictive about watching two people find their way back to each other after years apart, especially when the feelings never really disappeared.
Carolina and Leo had so much history between them, and their chemistry was still impossible to miss. Their second chance had plenty of emotion, tenderness, and those little moments that kept me invested.
Leo’s relationship with Luke completely stole the show for me. Their instant bond was so sweet, and I loved seeing Leo slowly embrace the family he never knew he had. The Courtright family also brought so much warmth to the story, while the suspense surrounding Carolina added just enough tension to keep the pages turning.
This was a sweet, emotional romance about forgiveness, family, and finding your way back to the people who matter. The mix of romance, suspense, and family moments made it an easy read to get caught up in.
I was happy to spend more time with this series.

A sincere thank you to Harper Faith and The Author Agency for the ARC! 🥰📚
I’m so grateful for the early read. As always, all thoughts and opinions are completely my own. ✨
This was an incredibly sweet second chance romance. Although, Leo is a far more forgiving person than I would ever be🤭 Carolina is a bit confusing to me but I did like her and their journey is much more twisty than I anticipated. There was a little darkness as well but it was really interesting and I really enjoyed reading their story! Their HEA was perfection also and their families are what dream families are made of. I would definitely recommend a read! Keep in mind there is no spice which I know can bother some readers but it doesn’t bother me🤗
❤️ Eight Years Apart, One Little Boy Brought Them Home 🥹 ⭐ 5 Stars
There will always be a special place in my heart for a second-chance romance, but give me first loves who never really stopped loving each other, eight years of heartbreak and misunderstandings, AND a sweet little boy caught in the middle? My heart never stood a chance. 🥹❤️ Together Is Where We Belong gave me so much emotion while reminding me that sometimes finding your way home isn't about a place. It's about the people waiting there.
Carolina left Haven Valley at eighteen determined to discover who she was outside the expectations surrounding her. In doing so, she broke Leo Courtright's heart and left behind the boy who had once been her entire world. Eight years later, danger forces her back to the one place she still believes will keep her and her seven-year-old son safe.
And that little boy happens to have Leo's eyes.
I knew Carolina and Leo's reunion would get me, but I wasn't prepared for how completely Leo and Luke would steal my heart. 🥹 The moment Leo realizes this sweet, curious little boy is his son changes everything. Leo has plenty of anger and hurt to work through with Carolina, but he never puts any of that on Luke. He immediately wants to know his son, be part of his life, and make up for every moment he unknowingly missed.
And Luke! 💙 What an absolute sweetheart. Carolina has made sure he knows about his father, so watching him finally meet Leo and so openly welcome him into his heart was beautiful. Their connection felt almost immediate, and every father-son moment made me melt a little more.
I also appreciated that Carolina's secret wasn't quite as simple as it initially appeared. There were unanswered calls, letters, misunderstandings, and pieces of the past neither Carolina nor Leo fully understood. They both made decisions at eighteen that had consequences neither could have imagined. Watching the truth slowly unfold added so much to their second chance.
Carolina wasn't always an easy character for me. There were choices she made that I struggled with at times, but I loved seeing the woman and especially the mother she had become. She built her life around giving Luke love and security, and when that security was threatened, she did whatever she could to protect him.
I also loved that Carolina and Leo didn't immediately jump back into their old relationship simply because their feelings were still there. Luke came first. Leo focused on becoming his dad, and Carolina and Leo slowly worked through the hurt between them. Their first love had never completely disappeared, but forgiveness and trust still had to be earned. ❤️
Then there is the Courtright family. 🥹 Watching this big family welcome Luke into their lives gave the story so much warmth. There may have been questions and understandable suspicion at first, but once this little boy became part of their family, everyone was all in. Those family moments were some of my favorites.
The suspense surrounding Carolina added another layer to the story too. She didn't simply return to Haven Valley because she suddenly changed her mind about coming home. She was scared, and the danger following her gave the story enough tension to keep me turning pages, especially as everything started coming together toward the end.
Together Is Where We Belong was heartbreaking, heartwarming, suspenseful, and full of forgiveness, healing, family, and the kind of first love that somehow survives years apart.
Carolina came home looking for somewhere safe.
Leo discovered a son he never knew existed.
Luke finally got to meet the dad he'd heard so much about.
And somewhere between all the hurt, unanswered questions, and lost years, three people finally found their way back to the family they were always supposed to be. 🥹❤️
Thank you to Harper Faith and The Author Agency for the gifted advanced reader copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
There will always be a special place in my heart for a second chance romance. And this story did not let me down at all. If nothing else, it only solidified my love for it even more.
Carolina and Leo were meant to be, according to everyone in town and how they felt but she felt trapped. Not by him... but by the expectations. She broke his heart at 18 and left town. She didn't tell him where she was going... she left. He was broken, left without the love of his life and shattered.
She swore she would never come back, but when life changes, you feel like you can only go back to where you feel safest... with your parents, even if that means going back home and possibly being around the boy who you left behind. With a big secret in tow... it was time to figure things out. After she left, she found out she was pregnant... but he wouldn't return her calls or answer the letters she sent.
Letters? He knew of one...
Once Leo meets Luke, he knows this is his kiddo. He's a spitting image of himself as a child and it's clear to everyone. And Carolina had shared stories with Luke in the seven years of his life so he knew who his father was. Their relationship could completely flourish the moment they met. And it did.
She was hiding another secret... she was really on the run. Hiding from a secret admirer/stalker who was determined to make her his.
What I really enjoyed about this story is the realities of life. You think you know everything at 18 and it's fine to burn everything down along the way to get where you think you need to be. Their feelings had not really changed, but she thought she needed to see the world to feel fulfilled... but what really fulfilled her was being a mother. She is an amazing mother to Luke and you can tell by their interactions and his interactions with others as well.
The Courtright family welcomed her and Luke back in... with a few of them suspicious but that changed pretty quickly. Everyone makes mistakes; it's about owning up to it. Leo stepped up immediately and was ready to co-parent with Carolina; they knew no matter what they were going to support him in whatever way they could.
I loved that the focus was on doing what was right for Luke and the rekindled love came in slowly over time because they truly were meant for each other. A true story on healing, forgiveness and true love.
Thank you to Harper Faith and The Author Agency for this ARC opportunity. I can't wait for more in this series.

Such a heartwarming but heartbreaking story about first love, family, and a second chance. I’m still swooning over Carolina and Leo.
I didn’t know what to expect from this story, since I haven’t read anything by this author. It was the cover, the title, and the blurb that caught my attention. The blurb is what caught my attention most of all; it sounded moving yet suspenseful. The moment I started reading Together Is Where We Belong, I knew I was in trouble, and I was right. I read it in a day because just when I thought I could put it down, something happened that kept me reading for a few more hours. Leo and Carolina’s story isn’t one you will be able to forget. You can feel the chemistry between the two of them from the moment they reunite. Even though Leo tries to fight it, I can tell how much he cares about her.
I adored the instant bond that Leo had with his son, Luke. I couldn’t help but love Luke; his energy was so addictive, and I loved how he accepted Leo, even if he wasn’t in his life for a while. He was such a joy to read about. The three of them were a family, and even though Leo tried to stay clear, they still acted like one. I was rooting for them all through the book. I’m glad that Carolina came back and that Luke protected her once he found out about her stalker. I was scared for her and hoped the stalker wouldn’t find her.
Family was an important aspect in this book. Despite what happened in the past, I loved how Courtright family accepted Luke, and how they tried protecting the two of them. I was smiling at the way that they all came together. Even though I finished the book this morning, I still cannot get it out of my head. Everything in this book, including the suspense, was portrayed in such depth and filled with so much emotion. Now, I must go back and check out the first book in the series. Highly recommended.

"In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world, there is no love for you like mine." — Maya Angelou 🤍
I lost count of how many times I cried while reading this book 😭 Just like the previous book in the series, this one gave me all the emotions. A second chance romance, secrets, an FMC who left the MMC and came back years later... my heart was not ready 🥹
Leo completely won me over with his reaction to finding out he had a son 😍 The way he loved Luke from the very first moment, how emotional he was, and how unafraid he was to show his feelings melted my heart 🫠 I love what a wonderful son and brother he is, but even more, I loved seeing him put Luke’s happiness first despite his complicated feelings toward Carolina 💚
Carolina is a strong, loving, protective, and supportive mother and daughter 🥰 That said, I wasn’t completely sold on her. There were moments when I struggled to understand her motivations and some of the choices she made 🤨
And Luke..…💙 The sweetest little boy! I adored how kind, open, helpful, and well-mannered he was. The way he welcomed Leo as his dad was simply beautiful. My heart! 🥹
The romance between Leo and Carolina was a slow burn, with the focus at first being on Leo and Luke building their bond 🫶🏻 I loved that, once Leo and Carolina started opening up to each other, they had honest conversations and didn’t hide their feelings ❤️
I also loved seeing Leo take care of and protect Carolina and Luke when they found themselves in a dangerous situation. He was so supportive and caring 🥹🤍
Do you believe in second chances? Carolina broke Leo’s heart at age 18 and left the small town of Haven Valley, Texas to explore the world. Eight years later, she returns with a son who looks exactly like the man she never forgot. Carolina is on the run from something and returns to the small hometown she swore she’d never come back to. Leo works on his family’s expansive ranch in Haven Valley along with his two brothers and sister. He had his heart broken beyond repair at age 18 and has never forgiven Carolina. Leo is shocked to find Carolina back in town eight years later and living in a house next door.
Carolina has a big secret to share with Leo – she has returned to town for good with her seven-year-old son Luke. When Leo sees Luke, he knows right away that he is his son. Leo decides to set aside his hurt and anger with Carolina to build a relationship with his son and they are instantly best buds. Leo’s extended family falls in love with Luke and bring him and Carolina into their fold.
Carolina is keeping another big secret from Leo and his family – danger has followed her to Haven Valley, and it threatens she and Luke. As the story unfolds, we learn more about why Carolina left and how she tried to stay connected to Leo. The love that Carolina and Leo had as teens is still simmering below the surface – will they be able to forgive each other and move forward as a family of three? The last few chapters are incredibly suspenseful, and the ending is incredibly satisfying!
This is book two in the Courtright Ranch series and can be read as a standalone. I read book one and it’s very enjoyable to read the whole series because all the characters are compelling!
Carolina left Haven Valley with big dreams of seeing the world and finding her place in it...all while vowing to never return to her sleepy little hometown. So far she has upheld her vow to herself, she hasn't set foot in Haven Valley for eight years now... but that is about to change.
Together is Where We Belong is a story of second chances, healing, family, love, and rekindling what was lost. When Carolina left town she took Leo Courtright’s heart with her, and as much as he'd like to admit that the years have helped him forget her it's quite the opposite actually. The moment they see one another again those sparks they thought were lost start to flutter between them again.
But Carolina has a secret that is bound to cause problems... or maybe it might just be the one thing to get Leo back into her good graces again?
I absolutely loved what I found between the pages years here, this second chance romance had feels aplenty and also many moments that made me swoon. These two had a lot of lost time to make up for and also some forgiving to do, which put the breaks on a happy reunion a time or two, but eventually they found their way. It's was a heartfelt journey that brought smiles and touched my heart... I enjoyed every minute of it! Highly recommend!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
This was the first book I read by the author. It was a sweet second chance romance with s hidden baby. Technically, it was a second chance for two twenty somethings who were both too stubborn after high school graduation.
Carolina left to explore the world and find herself after breaking up with Leo out of the blue. His reaction was realistic after his girlfriend blindsided him with a breakup. Leo refused any communication from Carolina and 8 years later when she returns home Leo learns he is the father of her 7 year old son, Luke.
While Carolina made every effort to contact Leo, she never came home and her parents never mentioned being grandparents in their exceptionally small town. The story had some sweet elements - Luke was excited to finally meet the dad he’d heard all about for several years, and Carolina had made the effort to raise her son with knowledge and love for his father. As sweet as that was it was also frustrating for me. She left to ‘find herself’ but after learning she was pregnant she lived a pretty ordinary life away from her parents and Luke’s father for no reason other than stubbornness.
The stalker/suspenseful portion of the story was only a suggestion in the storyline until about the 75% mark. It gave the story an extra emotional punch that propels Leo to face his feelings for Carolina.
For me this was a 3-3.5 star read.
I received a free ARC from the author and The Author Agency; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.
I absolutely loved being back at Courtright Ranch! This family continues to steal my heart, and I couldn't wait to dive into Leo's story. As a lover of second-chance romance, Leo and Carolina's journey had me hooked from the very beginning. The chemistry between them is undeniable, but what really stood out was the growth they've both experienced since their first chance at love. Leo has never stopped loving Carolina, and you can feel that in every interaction, even as he tries to protect himself from being hurt again. I loved that they both acknowledged their past mistakes and recognised that sometimes the right person comes along at the wrong time. And then there's Luke. He completely melted my heart and added so much emotion to the story. Watching Leo embrace both Carolina and Luke while fighting for the family he always wanted was beautiful. The family dynamic in this series is one of my favourite things, and the parents once again offered heartfelt advice and wisdom that made me love them even more. This was an emotional, heartfelt romance filled with love, forgiveness, and family. Leo would do anything for the people he loves, and seeing how much he'd learned from the past made his story even more special. I'm completely invested in this series and already counting down the days until book three!
He thought his first love was a chapter he’d closed forever… until she moved in next door with a little boy who looks just like him — and eight years of unanswered letters between them. ❤️
Harper Faith delivers a beautiful, emotional and utterly heartfelt second-chance romance with Together Is Where We Belong, taking us back to Courtright Ranch and a family that once again wraps its arms around you and holds on tight.
Eight years ago, eighteen-year-old Leo thought he had everything — including the girl of his dreams. Then Carolina left town, and Leo was left heartbroken, believing she had walked away from the love they shared.
What he never knew was that Carolina wrote to him. Again and again. Letters he never opened. Letters that held the truth about what happened and everything she had been unable to say.
Now Carolina is back.
And, as fate would have it, she’s living right next door with a seven-year-old boy who looks just like Leo.
The bond between Leo and this gorgeous little boy is instant, and honestly, watching that relationship unfold completely stole my heart. 🥹 But while the pull between Leo and Carolina is still very much there, Leo is determined not to let his heart be broken by her a second time.
Because sometimes knowing you still love someone isn’t enough to make you brave enough to trust them again.
And Carolina’s return holds so much more than Leo realises.
This is a deeply moving story about second chances, forgiveness, love, family and finding your way back to the people who were always meant to be part of your life. There’s heartbreak, secrets, healing and a whole lot of emotion, wrapped up in the warmth of the Courtright Ranch family.
And then there’s that delightful little boy who will absolutely steal your heart. ❤️
Harper Faith has delivered a romance filled with tenderness, emotion and those beautiful moments that make you believe some love stories simply aren’t finished when you think they are.
A gorgeous second-chance romance with family at its heart and a little boy who brings two people back to where they belong. ❤️
Wow! Such a fantastic mix of sweetness and danger This second story in the Courtright Ranch series was so special loving every one of the characters I met in this story. Carolina’s finally coming home to Haven Valley after fleeing 8 years ago, breaking the heart of her boyfriend Leo Courtright. Coming home with secrets and Luke, her gorgeous 7 year old son that will rock Leo Courtright’s world. A book that has it all. Full of emotional moments, from heartbreak, misunderstandings, untruths to sweet gestures plus a gorgeous little boy that wins the heart of every one. Then add in an element of fear plus the danger that is coming closer to them every day and this story was a winner for me. So engrossed in their love story, mystery and the danger I couldn’t stop reading this sweet, kisses only story. I haven’t read the first book in this series and found that it did not impact on this story, but after reading this one I’m going to now have to go back and read Ainsleigh and Gentry’s story. Thank you Harper Faith and The Author Agency for the opportunity to read this wonderful story. I absolutely loved it.
This was a really good single parent read. It was just what I look for in a closed door romance. Lots of romance. I read this one fast. It was an easy read with very in depth characters. Tragic past stupid mistakes brings them back together eight years later with a kid. Luke to me stole this book. If ever I thought of a kid in a book this kid is it. He's one likeable kid. If you like kids in your books this kid is it! His love for Legos is pretty standard but his love of cooking with his Nana's is so adorable 🥰. Caroline is coming back home to escape a stalker. Thank God this twist was written without massive angst and flowed well thru the story. Leo I am partial to. He's wounded but admits his flaws. The only thing missing with him is a dog. Lol. He's a true country boy. Love of family and farm. If you want a quick well written closed door romance without all the unnecessary background stuff this is your book
Together is Where We Belong by Harper Faith is a sweet, heartfelt addition to the Courtright Ranch series. Harper Faith did a wonderful job blending romance, family, and emotion into a story that is easy to get invested in. I really enjoyed the ranch setting and the sense of family and community throughout the book. The characters felt genuine, and I appreciated watching their relationship develop while they worked through their challenges. There were plenty of tender moments, emotional twists, and that comforting feeling of finding your way back to the people and place where you belong. This is a great choice if you enjoy small-town and ranch romances with strong family connections, heartfelt emotions, and a satisfying happily-ever-after. Overall, Together is Where We Belong was a warm, emotional romance with plenty of heart.
I received an ARC copy from The Author Agency. Thank you for giving me the chance to read this novel and share my honest review of the novel
Let me tell you something if you want to book that has second Chance Romance, with a little bit of secret, and two people that are literally soulmates this is your book. Carolina left her small town when she was 18 leaving her true love Leo behind even though he said some bad stuff. Little did she know that when she left she was expecting. Time has passed she's had to come back home to the only place she feels safe because she's got some stuff going on. Leo comes to meet his new neighbors and that's when he sees Carolina and a little human named Luke behind her. I really loved how the chemistry between the characters I thought it was very electric like these two people were soulmates they were meant to be together and come back. I do love how Leo and Luke had that instant father-son connection like that just stole my heart I absolutely love that. Overall this is a beautiful book I really enjoyed reading yet I can't say enough good things about it.
4.25/5...This one absolutely wrecked me in the best way. The emotional tension between these two was everything. I loved the ache of their history, the unresolved feelings, and the way all that hurt slowly gave way to something softer and more hopeful. Leo had me in a chokehold. The cold, guarded exterior paired with the lingering love underneath made his character so easy to root for. And the emotional weight surrounding the secrets, second chances, and everything that had been lost really pulled me in. The romance had that perfect we never really stopped loving each other feeling, with plenty of angst, tenderness, and moments that made my heart hurt. I especially loved the found-home feeling woven throughout the story and how protective, vulnerable, and deeply connected these characters became.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is the second book in this series, and this is Leo and Carolina’s story. Carolina left town at 18, and sworn never to return, breaking Leo’s heart in the process, and his final words ringing in her ears. Now 8-years later, Carolina is on the run, and returns to her hometown as a single mom, and when Leo goes to welcome his new neighbor, he comes face to face with Carolina, and the secret she kept from him. This is a well written slow burn, easy to read, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, secrets, heartbreak, danger, intrigue, sibling meddling, forced proximity, second chances, forgiveness, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, and heartfelt addictive page tuner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Holy moly, this book was an emotional rollercoaster, and I loved every page from beginning to end. I don’t think I have had my heart broken just to have it mended piece by piece. This is the first book I have read by Harper Faith, and I loved her writing style and her ability to pull me into a story of heartbreak, secrets, understanding, and undeniable chemistry that had me swooning and fist-pumping for the main characters. I thought the storyline was original, page-turning, and had me on the edge of my seat; it filled me with anticipation of what would come next for Leo and Carolina. They had history, some of it beautiful and some of it not so pretty, but they were kismet, and destiny wasn’t finished with their story. I loved this book and can’t wait to dive into more of her books. 4.5 stars-By Brooke
I loved this sweet second chance storyline. The storyline is about Leo and Carolina who were childhood sweethearts and everyone had their life planned out for them. But Carolina wanted more from life and broke up with Leo to travel the world. Leo never forgave Carolina for breaking his heart and became a playboy. Carolina went to travel the world but found out she was pregnant. She tried to contact Leo to tell him she was pregnant but he didn't respond to her. An event happens that means Carolina has to come home to face Leo and her secret child. This book was full of emotions, love, hate and potential second chances. If you are looking for a sweet second chance book then this is for you.
Carolina and Leo's story was such an easy one to get lost in. Eight years, plenty of hurt, and a ton of unresolved feelings brought these two back together. I loved watching them find their way through it all. Leo's guarded exterior and the love he still carried underneath made him easy to root for, but Luke absolutely stole the show! His personality, his love of Lego, and especially his sweet moments cooking with his Nana's had me smiling. I also appreciated how the suspense with Carolina's stalker was woven into the story without taking over the romance. Between the second-chance love, growing family bonds, and that feeling of finding where you belong, this was a sweet and heartwarming read! ❤️
Together Is Where We Belong by Harper Faith was such a sweet second-chance romance with a little bit of Safe Haven vibes, which I absolutely loved!
While I enjoyed the romance, I think my favorite part was watching the father-son relationship between Leo and Luke blossom. Seeing their bond grow throughout the story added such a heartwarming layer to an already sweet read.
A beautiful reminder that sometimes love is about more than just finding your way back to someone. It’s about finding where you belong.
Thank you to The Author Agency and Harper Faith for the opportunity to read and review an advanced copy!
This is a beautifully written story about second chances and forgiveness. The emotional and tender moments had me in a chokehold. Leo and Caroline’s story had me so invested, the pull between them after eight years is still there.
Leo with Luke was amazing and had my heart melting. The way he bonded with his son and stepped up, fighting for his family had my emotions in overload.
The secrets that are revealed impacted both Leo, Caroline and even Luke. Their journey to healing and forgiveness was well earned.
OMG i loved this book. This was a really good slow burn, found family, closed door romance. Carolina left Haven Valley with big dreams and wanting to find her place in the world. This is a story of finding second chances, healing, love and finding what was lost. It is a must read. 5/5 stars it will make you cry and laugh at the same time.
tropes: second chance found family single parent closed door slow burn
A beautiful second chance romance. Leo and Caroline's book was such a lovely story. I liked the storyline, the plot, and the suspense. It's a page turner that kept me hooked from start to finish. Definitely recommend especially if you like slow burn, found family, second chance romance, with a single parent. Thank you to the author agency and the author for a copy of this. All thoughts are my own and freely expressed.
This was such a heartfelt and emotional story. Leo and Carolina really pulled me in with their story. Her having left home and breaking Leo’s heart. She returns eight years later and she’s got her son with her. Leo’s son. The way his hardened heart melted and him helping with things that she hadn’t asked to be done was so sweet. I truly loved their story and the way they came back together
The prologue where Carolina breaks Leo's heart prompting him to say "I hate you" catches your emotions straight away.
She feels she needs to leave the small town and the boy she loves to find herself but now she has to run home, home where she is safe from the threat that has no face.
But she also has a secret, one she tried to tell Leo about all those years ago, a miniature version of Leo Courtright who calls him Dad.
Leo is cold towards her until he catches sight of his son and then the questions begin.
Luke loves his Dad on sight and soon has both families wrapped around his little finger, bringing Leo and Carolina into close proximity, especially as they live next door to each other.
Unfortunately the faceless stalker finds them and threatens their growing family time.
This is a beautiful second chance romance that show home is where the heart is and that's a safe place to be.
