This book was just so sweet, it was such an easy and smooth read, I loved the connection between Ari and Felix, how they go from their first disastrous encounter to much more.
After the debacle with the hockey player of the Warhammers, Ari is sent to the hockey facility to be a liaison agent and encourage dragons/elves to enjoy hockey. As soon as the decision is made, Ari knows that he’s gonna have to see Felix and there is this apprehension that he cannot take off. But to his surprise, he discovers the other side of Felix and he wants to help him with his little issue, he’s even very enthousiaste to this idea while protecting himself and his big secret.
When he was asked to teach someone about hockey, Felix would have never guessed it would be Ari, his major crush. Felix is rumoured to be one of the most violent players on the ice, but it is more complex than people know and he is trying really hard not to get kicked out of the team. Meanwhile, he cannot deny or fight the attraction he feels for Ari, just wishing he would be his.
Really a sweet story, I love this universe and all the cameos.

Yessss I love going back into CSG world and these characters in the DEA world
Ari and Felix are just so damn wonderful. It's not always easy for them, they are so different but they are so perfect for each other.
And throw in hockey? This girl is hooked!
There is great banter between Air and Felix, but then there are so many wonderful, sweet and funny interactions amongst all the guys. It was great to see more of the characters from Enticing the Elf and Wooing The Wiccan, seeing where they are at.
But it was also great to see the vulnerable side of them, especially Ari when he talks about his past.
Love it, can't wait for more of this world

So much to love about this book, it has two character who couldn't be more different finding all the common ground that brings them together.
Felix is a sweetheart who's struggling with the anger and heightened emotions his second puberty is bringing him and it's affecting everything in his life.
So when Ari, the uptight officer from the Elf King's security team is seconded to help promote shifter ice hockey as a way to help elves and dragons integrate with the wider community of species, he's not happy.
Felix was on the end of a humiliating encounter with Ari that was fuelled by many misunderstandings and he's not keen on having him in his space.
But fate's got other plans and the two find a surprising connection the more time they spend together.
With her usual mix of humour and easy flowing narrative Louisa takes these two very different men on a journey that makes them reassess what they thought the other was like and also gives them a potential new future if they have the courage to reach for it.
Ari is a little bit frustrating but once you discover why, everything about his character makes so much sense.
I was pleased though that once he'd sat and really thought things through, and had a very serious conversation with both Radulfr and Felix about his past, he doesn't dwell any further on it.
My only disappointment was the off page sex references, especially the first time they're intimate, which is just mentioned in passing.
There's some on page sexy times but they're all either blow jobs or frotting scenes and, to me anyway, it loses some of the connection that builds between a couple if you don't get to see them becoming physically intimate for the first time.
That said, there's plenty of emotional intimacy between them and when Ari finally tells Felix about his past, I got a little bit teary!
I believe this is the final book in the Elf Magic series, although I'd love to see more, and I've very much enjoyed each one.

Falling for the Felid is the third book in the Elf Magic series, and it is a really warm, easy read that focuses on the growing connection between Ari and Felix. They start off on completely the wrong foot but slowly find their way toward something softer and definitely more genuine. They feel like complete opposites at first, but what makes it work is how naturally their connection shifts from tension and awkwardness into real understanding, where they actually start to balance each other out.
Felix has a tough reputation in the hockey world, but there is a lot more vulnerability to him than people assume, especially as he deals with intense emotions linked to his reproductive puberty (I do not envy him, once was enough 😜). Ari comes across as more controlled and reserved, but he is also dealing with his own past and internal conflicts that hugely shape the way he connects with others. And honestly, their differences could have easily pushed them apart, but instead they end up working really well together in a believable way. I loved both of them, but wanted to squeeze Ari in a big hug. 🥹
I loved that this book also fits nicely into the wider shared universe. There are familiar faces and connections that will mean more if you have read earlier books in the series, as well as other interconnected series. While you could probably read this series on its own, having read the others definitely adds a nice sense of continuity and makes the world feel more “lived in”...if that makes any sense.🤔 Well, it makes it familiar and comforting, and I feel like I’m home..there, I fixed it.
I also liked that the romance itself builds at a steady, believable pace, with a good mix of banter and emotional depth. This is very much a story about communication, growth, and learning to see someone beyond first impressions. And there is also a strong found family here (my favourite trope🥰), with the friendships and group dynamics surrounding the central couple helping to tie everything together.
All in all, this is a character-focused romance and a really comforting read in a well-loved interconnected world. I really hope we will get more books or series in this universe, because I cannot get enough of it. 🥰

I always love returning to the CSG world! To give context, I was in the middle of a genre reread in prep for a new book, and this one was one of the few that was able to break me out of that particular genre path (and I know so many readers get it - when you're in a particular mood it can be hard to break away from and get into a different book.) Since I was lucky enough to be selected for the ARC team - I wanted to make sure I gave it my full attention and I'm so glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Ari and Felix, and seeing these side characters from previous books grow into their own selves as the focus. Having them be friends with the focus of previous books let me revisit old friends at the same time. While there were aspects of the story that could have been used as an excuse for *ALLL* the spicy scenes, I very much appreciated that the author did *NOT* take that excuse. There's still spice of course, but it honestly feeds the story appropriately and there isn't so much it's distracting. IT's great to see the characters heal an be heard and grow and as always fall in love. Working hard not to include spoilers. I will say - you should DEFINITELY read the other CSG/Dragons/Elf Magic books before this one in order to truly appreciate the other characters and their relationships. IT wouldn't be the end of the world if you don't but you'll miss so much of the character subtleties and references if you don't... All in all another great addition by Ms. Masters.

After all, Felix's has agreed to teach Ari about hockey and clueless Ari has no choice but to accept the help offered. It was kind of funny the way both of them would be so awkward around one another when the lessons began.
As they spend more time together, Ari and Felix start to really get to know one another. They begin to realize how much they enjoy each other's company. A friendship blossoms, which eventually leads to Ari offering to help a brother out so to speak. And we all know what usually happens once hooking up enters the picture.

Felix and Ari are definitely not a love at first sight situation lol We first meet hockey player Felix in book one when King Raoulfr and Jared go to a Community hockey game on a date. Because they both ended up liking hockey so much and want to get involved with the league, the King’s security team require background checks on the players and staff and Ari is one of Raoulfr’s personal bodyguards.
Due to an event that happened in Felix’s past, he and Ari have quite a contentious first meeting and it takes time for Ari to step back and allow for a cooler head to prevail. They become friends and confidantes as they spend lots of time together as Ari has been seconded to work with Felix’s team. It takes a little time for their friendship to turn into an FWB situation to help him.
I loved Felix’s family! We haven’t really seen a lot of interaction with CSG characters and their families so this was nice. They were so fun and loving. I felt so bad for Ari and wanted to hug him. I do wish the big reveal would have happened a little earlier in the book instead of the very end so we could enjoy Ari and Felix with everything a little more settled between them. I hope we will have future books as a part of this world as I don’t want to say goodbye to them all!

Even though she's one of the too many MM authors who are in love with the misspelling of come, I love the flow and vibe of her work. Each story carries bits of the same universe and characters without it turning into a gigantic clan gathering of "can you remember who any of these people are without going back to re-read the previous stories, and do you care?" ---which is just annoying AF for me. I really don't need to revisit every single connected character from every previous work, just for the sake of making word count, thank you very much. Disclaimers should be made: "gratuitous previous characters will occur throughout this work. If you've read the previous works, but that was months or years ago, you'll be driving yourself nuts trying to remember who's who, and if you haven't read the previous works, you might as well put this one down and go back and start at the beginning."
Anyway. Sorry for the side rant, which does not apply to Louisa Masters' tales. Each one connects and keeps some past characters in the picture without cluttering the book with way too many unnecessary cameos. (DJJ, LL, MA, you know who you are.) The total effect is much easier on my CRS (especially names, which elude me in real life as well as in books) brain, and makes the reading much more enjoyable.

I love this author’s community books, and getting to know the elves has been a wonderfully fun reading experience. I enjoyed Felix and Ari’s story, and how their complicated feelings for each other progress to a very satisfying HEA.
I liked how Felix and Ari are both struggling, although with different things. Poor Ari is really doing a number on himself. I loved the conversation he and the Elf King have, and their different perspectives on the same events. Ari learning to skate is fun. I love how he helps Ari out, while at the same time growing as a person because of their time together.
The world-building is fabulous, and detailed, with more of the elves’ backstory being revealed about their now lost dimensions. I particularly like the friendships and interaction between the Warhammers. I liked how the friends’ group with the MCs from previous groups is growing. Felix’s family is great. I love their interactions with Ari.
The final revelation is sweet, and I hope we get to see it.

Felix and Ari are such a sweet couple
This was such a good read. I love Louisa's books because of how good they make you feel both while reading and when you finish. There's a sweetness to the way they're written that even if there's a bit of tension you know that everything will be okay. Felix and Ari did not start out on a strong footing which meant we got to see them slowly develop their relationship and go from awkward/tense to friendly to romantic. There's a lot of depth to both of them which makes seeing them grow into a relationship even better. I will admit, Ari was my favourite. I loved Felix but I just wanted to wrap Ari up in the biggest hug. I am loving this whole series and I'm so glad that we get to stay in this world. It's one of my favourite worlds and I love getting to see characters I've come to adore again and again. It's like a surprise visit from an old friend. I can't wait for the next book in the series but I'll also love getting to reread this and all the other series again while I wait!

I couldn’t wait to read Felix’s story and it ended up being my favorite of the series. There was something about from him from his cameo in the previous book that made me want to know more about him and so glad he got his own book.
I honestly didn’t expect Ari and Felix to click so well given how their previous interactions were. They couldn’t stand each other when they first met and yet they managed to tear down the walls they built around each other.
Seeing Felix finally having a support system made me so happy. He had lived most of his life without anyone to have his back and to see him become part of a grow that really cared about him was everything. He had finally found somewhere to belong and that made it even more special.
I laughed out loud whenever they insisted they were just friends with benefits. As if everyone couldn’t tell how far gone they were for each other 😆 Felix founding a family to love and accept him was truly the best part of this book.
If this is the last book in the series, it’s a beautiful ending.
I honestly didn’t expect Ari and Felix to click so well given how their previous interactions were. They couldn’t stand each other when they first met and yet they managed to tear down the walls they built around each other.
Seeing Felix finally having a support system made me so happy. He had lived most of his life without anyone to have his back and to see him become part of a grow that really cared about him was everything. He had finally found somewhere to belong and that made it even more special.
I laughed out loud whenever they insisted they were just friends with benefits. As if everyone couldn’t tell how far gone they were for each other 😆 Felix founding a family to love and accept him was truly the best part of this book.
If this is the last book in the series, it’s a beautiful ending.

I couldn’t wait for Ari and Felix to get their story told and what a story it is. Their first meeting (in a previous book) was definitely in the “not good” category as Felix felt that Ari was very judgemental towards him. Their paths cross again and circumstances mean that they have to play nice and get along. Ari finds himself slowly becoming immersed in the hockey community, learns that there’s more to Felix than he first thought and that he likes spending time with him. The reasons for Felix’s at times violent outbursts are also explained as are the secrets surrounding Ari. It’s not long before these two men share some steamy times together as their chemistry is red hot and work their way towards a well deserved HEA. There’s a little bit of nudging from characters in previous books, plenty of moments that made me happy smile and an HEA that made me feel all sorts of sappy!

4.5/5 I enjoyed this so much! After meeting Felix in the earlier books, I wanted to get to know him better. He and Ari got off to a rough start, but I appreciated how their outlooks changed as they got more information. It made me so happy when Felix started getting the support he needed. It was clear how life-changing it was for him.

Louisa Masters is such a brilliant author. I just love everything that she writes! In this book, Ari and Felix form a lasting love and partnership. Initially, their relationship seems unlikely due to a misunderstanding between the two. With time and communication, they realize they are made for each other.
The story really begins when the two are forced together while Ari is working as a liaison between the elves' government and Felix’s hockey team. Felix and Ari were a great couple and the strength of this book definitely comes from the world building and character development around these too. Although it starts as an opposites-attract romance, they definitely find more understanding and common ground with each other as the story progresses. I liked that their relationship remained central throughout even though I also loved the glimpses at familiar faces from this world too. I'm glad they got their HEA together, my only little niggle is that I wish that more of their steamy scenes had been on-page rather than left to the imagination off-page. That's not a criticism of the writing though, more just a reflection that I enjoy reading that high heat chemistry. Overall, it's a good mm romance that had me smiling at the pair of them together.

My absolute favourite in this series. Shifters + Hockey + Louisa Master's inimitable way with spicy paranormal romance = perfection.

Gently, of course."As if it isn't delicious enough having enemies become lovers, elf Ari has a secret that overshadows their relationship and is holding him back from claiming his "bossy kitty" the way he clearly wants to. Having read lots (most?) of Louisa's books I made an educated guess early on what could be holding Ari back and even with that knowledge my heart ached so when it all came to light. Thank goodness for happy ever afters!

Another great entry in the Elf Magic series! I shouldn’t have been surprised that uptight Ari and angry Felix were next for their HEA after their disastrous start in the last book. Is it really a meet cute if your meeting is anything but??
Happy to watch them actually communicate, give each other the benefit of the doubt, and slowly explore their growing feelings. I always love how Louisa Masters crafts such grounded characters, even in a supernatural world. And hockey! Love this league and I’m so intrigued by it.

This is the 3rd in the Elf Magic series, which is set in the Hidden Species world, it is part of a larger universe so while it can be read standalone, I think I got more out of it as I'm familiar with the world (plus the previous books are great and highly recommended).
This is Ari and Felix's story - we have met both before and I was dying for Felix to get his HEA. I feel like we knew so very little about Ari, and for most of this book that's still true. I loved getting to know Felix a lot better, and realise just how much he'd been struggling with his second puberty, with no help at all, and I was so glad he finally got the help he needed, and not just from Ari. Ari, for his part is struggling with his past and for so long I knew there was something holding him back, I just never imagined what it could be. While it's bad, it's not unforgivable and I just wish he could have seen that so much earlier on.
I very much liked Ari and Felix together - they may have started out as a hookup but they were in a relationship way before they or we knew it and I loved watching it all unfold. I love the world Louisa has created here, and was more than happy to 'see' some familiar faces pop up here on the way to Ari and Felix's HEA. I really enjoyed this and glad the elves have found their home after the trauma of losing their own world.

Felix is a felid shifter going through hormonal changes with a bad reputation, though usually only on the ice, for his hockey team. Ari is an elf on the security team who had a dust up with him previously. Now they have to work together though Ari doesn't know Felix likes him. Many of your favorite characters are back to share in this introduction to more species of hockey. Ari is stiff with people from past errors and finds himself falling for an unreachable Felix (for him). It's a sweet love story for two self-induced Isolationists whose friends gave their all to join them. I received a copy of this and this is my voluntary opinion.

I love paranormal romance, and I love sports romance, so when you mix them together it’s perfection! Falling for the Felid by Louisa Masters was such a fun, sweet, and spicy second chance romance between Ari and Felix. The worlds that Louisa Masters creates are already so good and so immersive, but for me this book in particular did an amazing job of not only creating great chemistry between the two MMCs, but also creating fantastic warmth between the side characters as well. Felix’s family is the sweetest and once certain issues get figured out his teammates are a wonderful found family. I’ve been loving this series, and this might be my favorite so far!

Falling for the Felid is an excellent continuation of this series. I should have reread the previous books because I floundered a bit trying to remember some of the ongoing characters. That was my error, and it did not affect my enjoyment of the story.
As always, the humor is well-placed and kept me laughing.
There is just enough backstory on both Ari and Felix to give context on how they live their lives.
I loved getting to know them both. Watching them get closer, physically and emotionally, left me with the warm fuzzies. Their romance and HEA are beautiful, believable, and very satisfying. I was sorry when the book ended, and also sad that this is the end of the series.
I look forward to more from this author.

One of the things in a book with shifters that takes It from 4 to 5 stars is that It impacts the life of the characters and this happens here.
I always enjoy Louisa Masters' books, because they have everything I like, heat, interesting characters, a well developed plot and humor enough to make reading It a truly joyful experience. This one is a perfect example.
Ari is a sweetheart and I spent a lot of time wishing to hug him. Felix despite his puberty is perfect for him, strong, patient and forceful when necessary.
A really good book on it's own and one of the best in the author universe.

4.5 stars. No particular reason why not 5 but I just didn't get that feeling. I really liked Felix and I know he came across as younger but he was in shifter years. Also to understand why he was such an asshole and it was his team's fault (everyone's really) for not helping him. Ari frustrated me a bit. I was glad the king slapped a bit of sense into him and I appreciated he felt beholden but dude, you can have both. Lots of hocky happening in his with Felix's team and I like that his super brainy family didn't care he was an athlete and they treated him "normal", teasing but not being mean. His nephew was sweet too.

This book really proved how bad memory I have. I remembered that Ari and Felix didn't get along but not why. And I still have no idea about elf world/human world timeline. Like how long did the anomalies take to destroy the world? Anyway, back to the book.
Ari and Felix were cold towards each other in the beginning, but secretly they both wanted the other. Felix had his own issues, and Ari was stuck in past. So there was some healthy dose of hurt/comfort thrown in. Still really low angst, and sweet.

I really love the magical world the author has created and this book was such a great addition to the universe. It was sweet and cute and funny with some serious and touching moments too. Ari's story was very sad, I felt for him.

This book unmade me. I have been wanting Ari and Felix's story ever since their horrible first interaction and it did not disappoint. I had no idea what Ari's past would be, but I knew it was not pretty. Believing you do not deserve love and then meeting the one person you wish you could love but cannot was heartbreaking. Felix, who wanted nothing more than to find eternal love, had his work cut out for him. But he managed to break through Ari's shields and their love was as beautiful as I knew it would be in the end. I do love all the characters!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨this world is such a comfort read for me and I have loved the continuation with the elves so much! Felix was such a refreshing kitty, I mean character :) and love Ari getting his happy ending!
My only negative is that I wanted more! I wanted to see them interact with Fe’s family again at the end and I was dying for King Raòulfr to announce that their souls were paired! I have no doubt that they are but I love that little detail in this world.
And please give us a bonus of the Warhammers going to the Barbque at Here be Dragons!!!

It's alway good to be back in the Hidden Species world and I'm loving the Elf Magic stories. Ari and Felix did not get off to the best start and now they've been voluntold to work together to promote Hockey to the Elves and Dragons. Felix has serious anger management issues among other problems and Ari is so guilt ridden it's a wonder he can function at all.
I loved this enemies to lovers, hurt/comfort, grumpy/angry (maybe a bit sunshiny) story. I loved the way Ari supported Felix and how patient Felix was with Ari. These guys were perfect for each other.
