Having never read Jessica Jones before, I didn’t know what to expect. While it was an intriguing character study, the “red band” label oversold the shock value and greatly diminished the emotional punch of the more graphic panels.

The story seems interesting enough to keep reading. I’m quite disappointed that the gorgeous cover art by David Mack doesn’t have any literal nor metaphorical thruline in the issue.

Read this through the floppies. I did enjoy it, but the final issue and reveal make me kinda shrug. Its a fun final fight that does feel a little impactful as Jones has to reckon with what she's done. But she then immediately is Fine. Not bad but eh. However, the art in this thing is so above the board it gets bumped up to 4 stars. Especiallly the covers. I unironically would put some of these covers on my walls
