Tales of Silverfern Hollow #2.5

Hazel and the Dust Bunny Fairies: A Silverfern Hollow Novella

Rate this book
Hazel Wildfern never planned to stay. After a magical experiment gone wrong and a ruined career, she flees the Lyceum and her former life. When a snowstorm strands her in the small town of Silverfern Hollow, Hazel finds herself surrounded by nosy goblins, enchanted snow, and festive chaos—not to mention a flock of mischievous dust bunny fairies obsessed with socks.

But Silverfern Hollow has a quiet kind of spiced wine shared by the hearth, chicken races on ice, and neighbors who believe even the most burned-out witch deserves a fresh start.

As Hazel is swept into the preparations for Luminara, the winter festival of lights, she must decide whether to leave once the snow melts… or finally allow herself to belong.

Hazel and the Dust Bunny Fairies is a heartwarming, magical holiday novella full of healing, found family, and second chances. Perfect for fans of Legends and Lattes, The House in the Cerulean Sea, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Howl’s Moving Castle.

Silvernfern Hollow strikes again with this very cozy novella!

Thanks to the incredible R.S.S Rodrigues I got to meet one more character from my favorite hollow.

Sometimes, what you really need is to tickle some dust fairies with a duster to reflect on what matters in life.

Hazel is a witch who was top of her class at the lyceum of magic, however a project she was doing for the king got botched, and she fled Caergrand in shame and with no prospects. She lands in Silverfern Hollow, a small village by the port, where she is made welcome right away. This little village has a lovely inn, friendly people and goblins, and Hazel who had intended staying for just a few days ends up celebrating Luminara with her new friend Bryony and her daugfhter Ivy. She is given a cottage to stay in for a while, and there she meets Og, the fire spirit, who keeps her hearth warm and shares tea with her, and the mischievous dust bunny fairies who steal her socks, and hate the broom. Hazel loves the friendships she is making, these are a first for her, so when trouble comes calling and the community rise up for their new healer, Hazel knows she is now home. This short tale set in such a lovely little village is a real heartwarmer, I fell in love with the characters human and other, as well as the lovely community spirit, where no one who belongs to Silverfern is left behind. I just want to live in such a quaint village, but if this is not possible i want to go on reading these lovely feel good novels.

"This place can soothe you, but only if you let it."

Hazel, an outcast witch lands in Silver Holloway just before Luminaria, hoping soon that the ice will break so she can move on. She was fast out for failing a task for the king, but the magicals of the small community help her realize that home is where you have friends and you are cared about.

I loved this little book. Og and the dust bunny fairies are just what Hazel needs. This goes into my best books of the year list. Highly Recommended 5/5
