His Destiny
When they pulled up to his mom's house, Destiny was the first one out. She was dead tired and just wanted to nap. "My babies! I'm so glad you all made it." Caroline met them on the porch. "Hey, ma." Adonis hugged her and then Destiny hugged her before she took the baby out of her hand. "Look at granny's baby," she cooed over AJ. "But I thought I was your baby, granny," Serenity pouted. "You sure are my baby. Come give me some love, sugar." Caroline loved her grandbabies. "Oh my goodness, he looks just like you, Des." "I know right. All he has of his daddy is skin tone," Destiny replied. "Well y'all come on in here." They went inside. "Where is Tamara?" Adonis asked about his sister. "She's at work but she'll be here later," Caroline replied as she kissed all over AJ's face. "Oh ok." He responded. "Adonis take y'all stuff to the guestroom and you know ReRe has her own room here now 'cause I want to start getting her during the summers," she said, referring to Serenity by the nickname she had given her. "Nah, I'm getting a hotel room. Des and the kids are staying here with y'all." Caroline looked at him like he had grown two heads. "And why the hell can't you stay here with your family?" His mom still didn't know that he had a new girlfriend. It was now or never. "My girlfriend coming up here to kick it with me," he sort of mumbled. Even though he was a grown man, his mothers' opinion mattered. "What the hell did you just say?" Caroline only cursed when she was pissed. "Look ma, not now okay." He let out a frustrated sigh. He knew how much his family liked Destiny but they had to accept the fact that they weren't together. "So you brought Destiny and my grandbabies up here knowing your girlfriend was coming too?" "Yeah, man. But it's not even like that. I invited my girl before I knew Des was coming." Adonis felt like a little kid who was being reprimanded by his mother. "Well, the minute you found out Des was coming, you should have canceled that other chick." Caroline was so disgusted by her son that she got up and left the room. "Look, I didn't know coming here would cause problems. I was just trying to make it better for AJ." Destiny was apologetic. "Nah, Des, you good, ma. But I need to go take care of something. I'll be back later." He stood to leave. "Okay." Destiny hated to see him leave because she knew he was going to meet up with Nikki. Yeah, she was actually jealous.

Anndd 6,7,8,10,55,99, 100 stars!!! LOL!! This book was freakin EVERYTHINGG!! Destiny has me stessed out!! Demettrea u did it again!!! Huni Adonis geeeshh his honesty about his love for destiny leaves u speechless!! Team adinis&destiny ALL DAY lonngg!! BUT i will be highly pissed off is she still chooses evan's suspect behind!!! How many slaps in the face can adonis take .... They HAVE to get a chance they just hve to!! Ughh patiently waiting book 2!!

Omg this is my first book by this author and baby she didn’t disappoint at all. I loved this book from beginning to end. Adonis cane into Destiny live when she had nothing and changed her life in a good way. This is the typical love story. It had some twist and turns that were close to home but you every book you sometimes hits a soft spot in your life. I love the relationship he had with his daughter it so beautiful. That ending caught me by surprise so now I gotta read the next part to see what happened. Great book read it you won’t be disappointed I know I wasn’t....

I love this author and all her books pull me straight in. The only reason I gave it 4stars is because in the beginning, I felt the author was trying to hard and using words in the wrong context. Other than that, this book was fire!

So these two played to many games for me like Destiny still acted to young at times. Adonis really do love her but she wanted to play games because of something he had no control over. Jamir and Carman are two snakes playing with fire Ready to find out what happens next

Absolutely love this book.
Author Demettrea has done it again with her newest release His Destiny. From the first chapter I knew this book would have me hook on the characters Adonis and Destiny and the storyline. The author know what to do to hold your attention she have a love story going on along with disloyalty and murder and also intrigue when it comes down to trying to figure out Destiny doctor boyfriend. You get the feeling that something is not quite right with him. Then you have Jamir who suppose to be in Adonis crew but he plotting to rob and maybe even murder Adonis. Can't wait for the next installment to see if Destiny will go through with marrying the doctor are will she finally get with Adonis. Will Jamir succeed in robbing Adonis will Destiny doctor boyfriend turn out to be a psychopath. You can't go wrong buying anything written by author Demettrea I know because I have all her books and has never been disappointed. You will find yourself reading her books over and over again.

A great storyline,Adonis is the man he's not the typical street guy but he takes care of business. Destiny had it rough especially when your mom chooses a man over you. Now together Adonis and Destiny relationship was so cool but 4 years later things change and now their bonded for life. A few hiccups along the way but Adonis will not lose his family. No more spoilers but it's a must read go cop it.

This is my first book I've read by Demettrea and I must say I enjoyed it.. I really wish Destiny & Adonis would get their act together!! I can't wait for book # 2 , I need to see who Destiny married & will Adonis ever find out the real story with Carmen...

an okay read
I felt like it was a good book but it was lacking something to keep my attention. It took me longer to finish this book but I will be reading part to.

The book was overall a pretty good read. But there were some issues that did not seem to be completely developed. Nonetheless, I am anxiously awaiting part II to see how every thing plays out.
