First off this is not a book, it is one pattern. There are no pictures or drawings to help with the tricky parts. And as most anyone learning a new skill knows, there will be tricky parts. There is no information about choosing the correct materials. In fact, the yarn suggested is not even appropriate for socks. And, they are made with DPNs, hardly a beginner tool.
Easy to follow instructions for small and medium sized socks, large and x-large would have been nice, but easy math to change Pictures or diagrams would also have been nice, but if you knit as written rather than what you think is written you will have completed one sock Then the challenge is not to be caught by second sock syndrome!!
I borrowed this book through Amazon and according to the page count there should have been 171 pages. Unfortunately most of them were missing. :( So glad that I didn't waste any money on a book with missing pages.
