Suffered: Under Pontius Pilot

Rate this book
Introduction
The following meditations are on the part of the Creed which witness to Jesus who “suffered under Pontius Pilot.” They are reflections on what this Mystery means to me and I hope they will spake a chord of identification with what you believe about Jesus. These reflections are not theological in any strict sense of the term, but they are a reflection on what I hold to be the revealed truth of how Jesus suffered for us.
The reflections are separated according to four truths that I believe. Jesus suffered a trial to death, he was sentenced to death, Jesus accepted death for our own life; lastly, Jesus accepted help during his Passion from a passerby by named Simon of Cyrene.
These are my reflections upon the Gospel and they are ways in which I have meditated upon these truths. Sometimes I will share a personal reflection about an experience I had regarding the truths of the Passion and these are not meant to be dogmatic reflections, but simply a deep expression of My own devotion to these truths and how I experienced them at one point in my life. All of these truths are meant to help you strengthen your faith in the purpose of the Passion of Christ , so that you can learn to integrate these truths into your own. If you have experienced these same thoughts about the Passion and about Jesus love, then I feel that I have in some way formed a communion with someone else who has the faith handed down to us thru the Apostles. I would like to remind the reader that our faith is meant to be shared and with this in mind I place these reflections before those who read them as a sign of a common faith. As St. Paul says “one bread, one body, one Lord of all, Jesus Christ. I hope these reflections on the trial and suffering of Christ will help you accept the infinite love that I believe Jesus has for you and that he will give you the light to follow in his footsteps.
