My Infernal Rival is the second book in the HELLROMATES saga.
We're back in hell, and we're once again – relatively alive, so to speak. And if you thought Noel's problems were over now that he's become a vassal of the powerful Monarch Vaez, well, you were wrong. In fact, it seems that his problems have only just begun! Not only does his relationship with Vaez not seem to be turning into the fairy-tale romance he had imagined, but his fellow vassals, Lavinia and Zer0, are further complicating matters. Zer0 seems intent on using all his passive-aggressive energy to make Noel understand that he is not welcome – either at their side or in Vaez's bed. And while our unlikely “hero” tries to juggle his work as a photographer, hellish politics, and romantic troubles, an exclusive social event will end up completely turning the tables. Noel will find himself with the perfect weapon to use against his rival. But is everything really as it seems? Or is there someone else manipulating both vassals from the shadows?
And most importantly of all — how can Zer0 be both the perfect image of a Dom and the most insufferable brat imaginable?
As always, expect horror, intrigue, BDSM, and spicy M/M monster romance.

First thoughts: Definitely need to read My Infernal Deal. It could be read as a standalone, but this is a continuation of their story, and it’s best to understand the context being built from it.
Things I loved: - Noels acceptance of Zer0 even though he knows it could hurt them both in the end. - His fierceness to protect Viverna
Things I didn’t like: - Kind of slow at some parts (for me) but overall a good read.
Would I read again? Prob not Would I read more from the author? Yes Would I recommend? Yes
I received this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts & opinions are my own
This is a new-to-me author and perhaps my reading experience of MIR had a bit of prejudice for not reading the 1st book of the series. The story is set in Hell but could have been anywhere because they still need a job and have bills to pay. Our Mmc is a young devil turned vassal to a monarch in Hell, still dreams to be a photographer and add to that a new relationship with his other vassals, with a bit of jealous in the mix. There's MM,a light dom/sub relationship ,a bit of kinks like spankings, collars, humilliation,O's denial and exibitionism. There are some heavy themes so check the CW before.
Short sweet and so hot! I've been eating these up, and can't wait for more! Our sweet Noel is struggling with being a vassal and now he's having to get along with Vaez's other sub Zer0. Who does not like anyone it seems, but could there be more than meets the eye? This book definitely keeps you on your toes. I just wish it was longer! Don't want to spoil to much! Please check out her first book My Infernal Deal before reading this one.
I found this book less enjoyable than the first in the series (I rated the first book 4.5 stars)- much less focus on Vaez and Noel and their dynamic was a big part of what I loved in the 1st book. I love a why choose relationship, but I like to know that going in so I have the right mindset and the introduction of Zer0 felt off at first. There were also more errors in the editing of this book, though all pretty minor they always distract me.
I completely enjoyed the first book. But this one was even better. With the introduction of Zer0, you get to see a really bratty sub. I can not wait to see where the story goes from this point.
