She goes to local bar and is dancing in skimpy dress, making a lot of men notice...and got the kind of man's attention she didn't want...but then tall, built man with dangerous vibe rescues her from unwanted situation...Kade...on vacation from Guardian HRS, just whiling away an evening when Wren entered...they decide to leave together, since she has spent last few weeks working without breaks...and they have a night of hot passion...but in middle of night, he hears scratching at door, and man enters, with gun...targeting Wren...after overpowering intruder, Kade learns Wren coder who just updated code for app run by Black Helix...knowing they had little time to leave before car running outside would check on intruder and discover gone....but why was she target??? You will need to read this compact powerhouse of a story to see what happens...I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.

I loved Kade and Wren together. Wren decided to go to a neighborhood bar. She just wants to let loose and not have to make any decisions for a while. Kade happened to be at the same bar. He noticed a man coming up to Wren that doesn't seem to get the concept of the word "no". He steps in and the sparks between he and Wren fly. The chemistry between them is hot enough to set my Kindle aflame. On the way to her apartment, Kade tracks the potential for trouble. He was not wrong. The action starts here and doesn't stop. I was on the edge of my seat, trying desperately not to speed read, as I didn't want to miss a thing. Kade and Wren are really put through the proverbial ringer. Their HEA is hard won and very much worth it. I would give this book a million stars if I could. Definite 10 out of 10. Sorry, no spoilers. Do yourself a favor and get this book ASAP.

One of my favorite reads.
Wren's character was great, maybe it was the Mossberg she was holding.
I love the worlds you have created with the Guardians. You have given me hours of reading enjoyment and limitless adventures. Jet's books are fantastic stories and I have bought and read all of them also, with She's Mine, being a favorite .
I am also loving the Cerberus Group. The villain in the books is probably the scariest one out there. Waiting for Torque's book. I hope many more to come .
Thank you for all the ups and downs and the whirlwind of adventures. So many emotions and feels. Love the alpha vibes, protectors to the ninth degree and the feisty, ferocious women who fall for them.

Love these short spicy reads by this author in her GHRS world. Kade meets Wren when he rescues her from unwanted attention on the dance floor and they have an immediate reaction. We get a huge dose of their spicy encounter and I was here for this, because this author can write an amazing smexy scene. But wait, there's more. When a bad guy comes hunting Wren for something she accidentally saw, all bets are off when Kade dispatches said bad guy. But love never runs smooth for the GHRS guys and we have a couple on the run and a suspenseful mystery to wrap up while these two continue to get down and dirty (in the best possible way). Loved how Kade taught Wren to be proactive, in charge and to control her destiny. Great HEA.

Great read for when you need something fast paced, action packed crime thriller with scorching hit romance.
Wren and Kade’s story was totally unputdownable. Wren is a free lance cybersecurity auditor celebrating a huge pay day and is ready for some well deserved time off. Kade is a guardian hostage rescue specialist operator on leave also enjoying much deserved time off as well.
Both are just looking for down time and the last thing they imagined was a chance encounter that led to some combustible insta attraction.
What happens next is an exciting and over the top thriller where unexpected events threaten both of them. Their connection is the only thing protecting them and oh my a ride!

When a tech wizard, Wren is targeted, her one night stand and Guardian HRS operator Kade helps to protect her.
I really liked Kade. Super protective but also a dominant alpha which is perfect for Wren who needs him. But that dynamic only escalates their relationship.
So well done. Kade and Wren are certainly special. It was also great to see some of the special Guardian characters. Fantastic book. I want more!!

Kade and Wren meet not as a part of a rescue but it soon becomes one. Wren is a superstar on a computer but becomes involved with a terrorist group who hire her under false pretences. Kade and she are really, really hot but their interlude is interrupted by the terrorists. What follows is a gripping chase that will have you flipping pages. The ending is everything you could want with cameos from your favourites. A short book that packs a big punch.

So many touch and gos. Would Kade and Wren make it out alive? Wren is sooooo intelligent. Had my mind reading. Kade is a man with nothing to loose. This could be a hard story to finish if you have claustrophobia or arachnophobia. But trust me, it's worth finishing. Great characters, great storyline. An awesome continuation of the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists. Can be read as a standalone, but better enjoyed when reading the series in order.

Fast paced, strong intense characters and 🔥🔥🔥. What more could you ask for? Kade and Wren become a formidable team fighting against the newest evil in cybersecurity. Ellie Masters has created such an incredible in depth world of the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists that I cannot get enough of. I recommend reading entire GHRS books. They have given me 100s of hours of complete reading enjoyment. Ms. Masters is by far my favorite author.

Love these short stories as I have read all Ellie’s books can’t wait for more.
Kade was full of suspense drama, but most of all it was HOT! The plot was unexpected and thrilling , the imagination required from Ellie is unbelievable.
Wren was an unexpected bonus in the plot, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Wren wanted to have just one night where she could just "be," forget about everything and let someone else be in control. What she didn't count on was Kade. A man who works hard and plays harder. Grab a fan people, cuz the heat between them nearly sets the pages on fire. Of course there is danger, suspense and some great action that will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat.

An edge of your seat kind of read with Kade and Wren. You are pulled into the action in the first few pages and the strength of Wren only grows with each page turned. "No edges". The outdoor rock seen was spectacular and the length this author gives the reader to delve deep into their characters is amazing, all while taking you on a very wild adventure. Fear vs Courage.

Fast paced action filled novella that you can easily finish in an evening. I liked how we saw glimpses of characters from the previous books. Kade was definitely a protector but Wren was a strong kick butt heroine. Another great addition to the GHRS series.

Kade and Wren just sizzle together. What starts off as a one night stand turns into them running for their lives. How this all works out is a wonderful fast paced, page turning read. Just a fantastic addition to another phenomenal series by Ellie!
