Reader’s Notes:
*Series or Connected Books?* this is the 3rd of a trilogy & must be read in order
*Point Of View:* Diaspro (except for the prologue)
*Any Cursing Or Possibly Offensive Language?* there are about 7 mentions of characters cursing/swearing with no words used on page
*Romance?* Yes! Just kisses
*Things To Know:*
–there is mentions of magic in this world, but it seems to be limited to metals/gems that have and can perform the magic
-there are mentions of fantasy violence, injuries, & death
-it is mentioned that some rulers were/are cruel to even their heirs to make them stronger
Review:
This was just as thrilling as the other two books in the trilogy! I loved the twists and surprises that came into play as well as how some of the previous twists affected things here! I loved the romance between Diaspro and her prince and how much he tried taking care of her over his own well-being (and how much she reamed into him for doing so when she had wanted to do the same for him). I loved the new friendships formed in this book and how different characters came to help in Diaspro’s goal to free Ivalon from Aemastia’s control.
I can’t wait to see what Abigail Manning does with her next original fantasy (and all the retellings I still need to get to)!
Summary:

However, she’s also proven that she’s still a threat to the king of Aemastia and it gets her thrown back into the prison she’d spent her first days of Aemastia in. Her only hope for freeing the people of Ivalon now is going back to where it all started.
Reclaiming Ivalon would not only be a blow to Aemastia’s control, but it would give the people of Ivalon something more to fight for. All Diaspro has to do is find the elusive guardian said to be protecting Ivalon in Prince Damon’s stead and find out where his loyalties lie. But getting back to Ivalon and protecting it’s people is going to be the hardest thing Diaspro has ever done when there’s traps at every turn and the life of her beloved prince is being toyed with by the king…

What an amazing conclusion to this trilogy! Everything wrapped up so perfectly. The way that I started tearing up for several different reasons with only 40 pages left. I was worried that with all the twists in Book 1-2 that this book would fall flat, but no! The Queen of Plot Twists had A LOT up her sleeve for Book 3. She stepped up her games. The plot was thick, the twists were turning, and the stakes were high in this book. It was a bittersweet ending for multiple reasons. I love the characters development, redemption, and the ending for each of the characters. Some might disagree with the ending, but I think it was done truly with the characters and who they really are in mind.

Oh my gosh what a wild ride! This book picks up right where we left off from the second one. It’s full of all of the amazing action, adventure, romance, and all the plot twists that you can expect from this author.
The emotional roller coaster I’m on when reading any of Abigail‘s books is insane. I really should send her a bill for emotional damages but I’ll just buy her next book instead.
This is such a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy and I’m so sad that we’re leaving this behind. I thoroughly approve of all of the side character shipping by the way. Such a fun book and series.

An epic conclusion to this trilogy! I absolutely loved it and didn’t want it to end! This is one of the few series that I wish I could forget so I could read it for the first time again. Even with Fit for a Throne being the last book, Abigail Manning was able to add a last few twists. Just amazing and if you don’t start reading this series, what are you waiting for?! Go read this amazing, gritty, clean romantasy!
