I couldn't put this book down.
From the very first line, Dead Frequency grabs your attention and refuses to let go. What starts as a mysterious crime scene quickly unfolds into a chilling blend of detective fiction, psychological suspense, and supernatural horror. The concept of an abandoned radio station broadcasting something that should not exist is both original and genuinely unsettling.
Detective Nora Voss is a fantastic lead, intelligent, determined, and refreshingly grounded. Watching her try to make sense of impossible events kept me completely invested. Daniel Varga's connection to the mystery adds another layer of intrigue, and the alternating threads of the investigation build suspense without ever feeling confusing.
The atmosphere is one of the book's greatest strengths. The abandoned Meridian Building almost feels like a character itself, filled with eerie history, haunting silence, and an overwhelming sense of dread. The author paints vivid scenes that made me feel as though I was walking those dark hallways alongside the characters.
I also appreciated how the story balances supernatural elements with a solid investigative mystery. Even when the paranormal aspects become more prominent, the plot remains believable within its own world, and every new revelation raises the stakes. The pacing is excellent, with enough twists and shocking discoveries to keep the pages turning late into the night.

The premise alone had me hooked. A haunting mystery with a unique paranormal twist that feels fresh and incredibly intriguing. Definitely on my reading list!
