I really enjoyed this debut novel by J.J. Henley. “The Halo Sinner’s Daughter” pulls you in right away. It keeps you guessing the whole time just when I thought I had to figure out who the copycat killer was something would happen that made me completely change my mind.

The suspense is really what drives us a story, but the romance woman in his nice bonus and add some extra depth to the characters. Overall, a really engaging read that kept me on my toes until the end.

The Halo Sinner’s Daughter is an excellent debut novel by J.J Henley. It blends emotional storytelling with darker, more complicated themes about family, faith, and identity. I was hooked from beginning to end and would highly recommend it to all!

I flew through this book. The mystery hooked me right away, and the plot felt unique and held so much tension. I enjoyed the dual perspectives of Lottie and Trent and their cute, clever banter, but also the deeper struggles that brought real emotion to the story.

The story is full of surprises and red-herrings. My mind was blown more than once! Like Freida-level twists, but the writing was way better, sorry Frieda. Such an impressive debut novel!

My only critique is that if I had been scrolling through books, I might not have picked this one based on the title or cover alone. Unfortunately, I’m a big offender of judging books by their covers, and covers with real people on them are an ick for me. If you’re like me, don’t judge this one by its cover!

If you love mysteries that are full of twists and keep you guessing, this one’s definitely worth your time.

I loved The Halo Sinner’s Daughter. From the very beginning the story pulled me in and held my attention in a way that made it hard to put down. The pacing kept things moving with just the right amount of suspense, and just when I thought I had things figured out, the story delivered a smart twist I genuinely didn’t see coming.

I love a novel with well developed characters and found myself attached to so many throughout this story. The sarcasm/humor/quips woven throughout added so much charm (and a special thank you to Henley for Luke, a funny Irishman who’s constantly giving MMC a hard time plus is a romantic who sings in a band).

This was the kind of book I wanted to devour in a single sitting, but real life kept getting in the way. Every time I had to put it down, I found myself thinking about the story and looking forward to the moment I could pick it back up again.

Henley's debut novel "The Halo Sinner's Daughter" was an entertaining read. It was engaging with good banter between the characters and plenty of well thought out action sequences. I genuinely did not predict the ending, and I was quite surprised by the red herring tactic that was used. I was not a huge fan of Trent's protective masculinity. I tend to read books with a stronger, stand-alone, doesn't need to be rescued female character. But if you swoon over a protective big man, then you will enjoy the romance.

I’ve read plenty of romance books but loved how this was sexy and suspenseful!! Well developed story that kept me interested!!
