Dr. Pramod V. Argade is a physicist, computer architect, inventor, and author of the science fiction novel PHOOL: First Contact.
Born and raised in Maharashtra, India, Pramod earned a master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and a Ph.D. in Physics from Boston University. During a four-decade career in the semiconductor industry, he helped design advanced computer processors and was awarded eighteen U.S. patents as an inventor or co-inventor.
A lifelong enthusiast of science, space exploration, and technology, Pramod turned to fiction after retirement to explore the growing challenges of misinformation, science denial, and the complex relationship between scientific discovery and human behavior. His debut novel, PHOOL: First Contact, combines hard science fiction, geopolitical intrigue, and social commentary in a story about humanity's response to the discovery of an extraterrestrial artifact.
Pramod lives in California with his family and continues to write, read, and share his passion for science and storytelling.
