I created Hush Anonymous last year for me. Hanging onto trauma I can’t escape and being ridiculously self-conscious and shy doesn’t exactly create a recipe for losing my virginity. In the darkness where no one can judge me seems like the best place. Yet somehow, I manage to find myself a stalker in the darkness. Which isn’t so bad since he knows exactly how to take care of me.
Arek
My weakness is blushing boys and Kylen is exactly my type. I’m a little late realizing but now that I’ve had a taste, I’ll never let this man go. Thankfully, my stalking game doesn’t last forever and he’s willingly mine. He doesn’t shy away when I tell him I’ll kill anyone who tries to touch him. I bet he didn’t realize that the threat is retroactive.

This is a LGBTQIA+ story with content not intended for those under 18 years of age due to graphic scenes and situations.
Crea lives in upstate New York with her dog and husband. She has been writing since grade school, when her second grade teacher had her class keep writing journals. She has a habit of creating secondary, and often time tertiary, characters that take over her stories. When she can't fall asleep at night, she thinks up new scenes for her characters to act out. This, of course, is how most of her meant-to-be-thrown-away characters tend to end up front and center - and utterly swoon-worthy! Don't ask her how many book boyfriends she has...
When not writing, Crea is an avid reader. Her TBR pile is several hundred books high (don't even look at her kindle wish list or the unread books on her tablet). Sometimes, she enjoys crafting; sometimes, exploring nature; sometimes, traveling. Mostly, she enjoys putting her characters on paper and breathing life into them. Oh, and sleeping. Crea loves to sleep!
I was waiting for Arek to get a story and this suited him so well. I love the Van Doren's and I hope there's many more books to come for them because they are my exact brand of unhinged!
I did feel like this book was a touch on the too long side and there was more repetition than I would like, but the story was interesting and I really enjoyed the relationship dyanmic between Kylen and Arek. I also loved how Arek was obviously a great match for Kylen's family situation what with Avory and Ellory being his uncles.
The abuse plot line was really sad, and Kylen's reactions were heartbreaking, but I loved how Kole got revenge thanks to Arek.
I've been waiting for Crea to release a whole new batch of books because I know she doesn't write in chronological order, which my brain gets annoyed at because timelines are hard for me! Last year I binge read everything she'd already written that was part of the Van Doren / Longwood / Rainbow Dorset / Hockey universe, so now that there's a few more I'm going to work my way through them again. I can't wait to get to Orev's story, and even though we obviously know how Jalon's story turns out, I still can't wait to see how that happened!
This was an eventful story. When you are familiar with this author, you know most books will involve many people. This one has indeed many people involved.
Kylen is the mind behind Hush Anonymous, a place where you can enjoy anonymous sex. He himself is a virgin and wants to experience the deed, but anonymously. Arek van Doren is the lucky one. He recognizes Kylen almost immediately. From that moment Arek knows Kylen is his and no one will ever have him but Arek himself. He’ll kill the ones who will (read: and have) hurt him.
Every visit to HA Kylen plans, his partner is the same one. It took a while before Kylen got to understand it’s Arek. The Van Doren’s are protective as fuck, over their family and the ones they love. Kylen feels safe and happy. Being inside Kylen quiets the storm racing through Arek.
But… Arek feels something has happened to Kylen in the past.
The story is well-written; there are many moments about family and friends, and there are awesome printed designs on T-shirts and hoodies. There’s kink exploring, and sexy times, and omg the funniest businesses they all run. The story is nicely building up to the point where we will witness Arek’s disorder, his revenge, and his sharp knife. Dang, it was satisfying!
Most of the star ratings goes solely to Arek Van Doren and his clothes with graphic text prints 🤣 I did enjoy this, but I thought I was gonna be obsessed with it. But alas, I had a good time though! 😍
I will always love the Van Dorens, and this is no different. Loren has been my favorite, so it is unsurprising that Arek is also one I love. I did enjoy that flashback to Lorens story in this one. The meet cute is different, but the wooing is similar, and I loved it. The difference between these two was a lot, and I love how opposite they are. I also love the way Arek handled Kylen's abuser. That is one of my favorite things about how Van Dorens love. This was amazing. I love this series.
I went into this this book based on the blurb having no idea that some of these characters are interconnected from another series by this author. Thankfully I have read much of that other series, so it kind of helped me to understand the whole vibe of the story. I mean, Arek is a Van Doren and the Van Doren's seem to have the market cornered when it comes to psychopathic tendencies. Arek definitely fits the bill.
Kylen is the complete opposite of Arek in many ways. He's shy and doesn't like attention. When people look at him they see a sweet soul. Heck, the guy created Hush Anonymous with the express hope that he could use the services himself. He's much too timid to plan a hookup in person and an anonymous one in the dark is the perfect way for him to experience sex without worrying what his partner thinks of him when it's done.
Unfortunately for Kylen, his identity doesn't stay anonymous for long. When he finally gets up the courage to utilize Hush, he ends up in a room with none other than Arek. Arek, who cannot stop thinking of all the ways Kylen responded to him in the dark. He needs to have that man again and so the games begin.
I loved how cute these two ended up being together. Arek had a fierce protectiveness for Kylen, but Kylen felt just as protective towards him. Kylen may be meek, but when anyone tried to mess with his man, he found his backbone just fine. And that's the way it would always be.
Hello Loren's van Doren's. Oh, heck yeah. My God, if a van Doren is on page I AM SAT. Seriously, the obsession that I have with them is unhealthy at this point and I haven't even read the main series. I am afraid that I will totally spiral once I read the books in order.
Hush Anonymous was Arek's story, and OMG, I did not expect to love him as much as I did. Are you kidding me? HE IS PERFECT. And Kylen... 😭😭 oh, my sweet summer child, I love your blushing face. LOVE IT.
Crea, you better give me the Arek × Kylen × Orev HEA, and also bring Orev's obsession into the mix. Oh, HOW I NEED THAT. The hints, the tease... ugh. I had my eyes on Orev since DN and now that I met Arek I need them to be a permanent thing.
Anyhow, going back to Arek and Kylen... my God these two are perfect together.
This book is spicy, SPICY, so beware, BUT the spice has its place in here. Sure, we will have some scenes that have spice for the sake of spice, you will know when you'll read scenes that have a deeper meaning and that help with the character's development. You will just know.
Honestly, I am surprised Arek was able to be everything Kylen needed given he is, at the end of the day, a psychopath.
Istg, idk what it is with these van Doren psycho's but they just do it for me big time.
Since there are 1000 of them I hope I'll never stop reading about them. And I hope I will see more of Arek and Kylen in the future. I am in love with them and I am NOT ready to let them go.
Another great hit! I think I might like it even more than the first book and more along the lines of the second one, but don't quote me on that.
I liked the new couple - Kylen is shy but smart about things, Aren is, well, he is a Van Doren, need I say more? Their meeting, the way they went about the relationship... that was the part that reminded of Confessions the most. It felt like a careful, very entertaining dance, something that really shows us both characters' qualities and how they could fit together. I guess subconsciously I think modern romance can be a bit hasty - there is very little foreplay, romantically speaking, it's not uncommon to find the two characters in bed withing the first chapter(s) and these two felt more gradual despite the fact they did, actually, connect with sex. I am contradictory like that.
The things I didn't like as much? Honestly, at this point I should just shrug and say Reitan, of course that was there. There are still plenty of preachy messages that I am almost annoyed by even if I agree with 95% of them, simply because of how they're presented so aggressively, like I am guilty until I can swear I am properly liberal in ways that she wants and even though I probably wouldn't want to meet or talk to the kind of people Reitan rejects and judges, in basically every book, her strong opinions can feel very pointy to my sensitive, socially anxious brain.
I didn't like Kola or what was her name. I think female authors of gay romance has this need to make at least one or more FemaleBOSS characters that show you just how bossy and male-energy she can be and how competent she is and everything... The reasons are understandable but those characters usually feel like A Point instead of a character. She's not properly integrated because she is there to show us her idea of what a woman can be, like all those patriarchal messages you want to set on fire has coalesced into one person that is NOT submissive or weak or lacks ambitions or whatever else she feels is needed to make the ultimate weapon of female empowerment. At least Kola had a humanising moment, though that didn't make me like her more. Shrug.
I did like the... kink seems a weird word even though it wasn't vanilla and there were actual kink scenes for the next project of DIK. My new hypothesis is that my brain just clicks better with Reitan's ace brain, though I don't think I could focus on ace/gray authors even if I wanted to.
Then there's the huge cast. Reitan really skirts the edges of what I consider reasonable comebacks. As in, she's not throwing in characters from previous books so we get hit by NOSTALGIA and have an inflated opinion of the new book, but the amount of comebacks make it hard for me to call her style quite... good? Yes, I maybe need the reminder of who is who, her universe is too big and not all of those characters were that memorable for me but using page time to explain her other projects... is it subtle marketing? Her fans would already know all the info she's dumping... but most of it was at the end and it didn't turn into some gush-fest where we as readers were showed just how amazing some character is or anything so... yeah, not bad, but I can't say I like them either.
At this point, it's not a question of whether I read these books, only how much I'll like them - most are just nice, slightly-above-average better, few are two-star noes, some are four- or five star THIS is what I am secretly always hoping to find great reads. Not a bad deal at all.
I love coming back to Longwood U and the antics of the DIK fraternity (and cue me giggling every time I read that acronym like the immature child I am), and I absolutely loved that we finally got both Kylen and Arek Van Doren's story, too. We've been teased with both characters so many times through the previous books in the series that I had been slowly dying to read their stories, and what a great story it was for them.
Whilst this is obviously a Van Doren story with Arek's possessiveness and willingness to do anything to anyone that gets in the way of him having Kylen, it's also a beautifully emotional (if not heavy at times) story about Kylen's healing, and the struggles he has due to his past (again, check those warnings before diving in).
My heart absolutely broke for Kylen multiple times through the story, and I definitely teared up both times he told his truth. His growth throughout the story was beautiful to read, and I love that Arek managed to make him feel safe, even if Kylen didn't believe the extremes Arek would go to for him for the longest time.
Reitan certainly had me in hysterics with the shirts and the jumpers the other quads packed for Arek to wear at Longwood every time a new item was mentioned. The concept of family, both found and genetic, was strong once more, and I loved the inclusion of the first gen Creaverse characters, as well as mentions of this second gen, and potentially upcoming MCs.
This was a well-balanced read that was sweet, spicy, emotional and humourous (at the right times), and overall filled with so much heart and healing, and became one of the most well deserved HEAs of any couples in the Creaverse.
(Not going to lie, I hope there is a bonus scene with Arek, Kylen and Orev in the future - iykyk).
Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.
"Arek may give off the most unhinged vibes, but right now, all I feel is safe, warm, and wanted." - Kylen
"I will spend the rest of our lives making you happy. You’ll never know fear or sadness or want for anything for the rest of forever." - Arek
Both Arek and Kylen have a twin. Arek is the son of Loren and Oakley Van Doren, and his twin is Orev; he also has 2 sisters named Adelaide and Rosalie. I love that he is very close with them all and that he has helped (his Trans sister) Adelaide so much. Arek struggles to understand feelings, but he did the best that he could. He is the first generation with a fully loving family around him in a safe place. Kylen went through something when he was a child, and he never told anyone about it. Even his twin sister, Kole, didn't know.
I love that Arek gave him the time and space to safely explore and realize that he would never do anything that he didn't want to. That was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. Arek is a true Van Doren, and they take care of the people that they love. I love this family so much, and I love that the new generation goes to each other for help, knowing that their parents will always have their back. Same as that, Grandpa Jalon has always been there for his sons and siblings. Please, please never stop writing about the Van Doren family and about Jalon; that man needs to live forever! I love that Kylen is Arek’s safe space, the same as that his dad Oakley is his other dad Loren's safe space. Kylen has found the kind of love that his dads have for each other in Arek.
Wicked Confessions will always be my favorite book in the Longwood U series. I can't believe that Mo is 12 years old now! Edin and Elijah are great parents, and I would totally read their book again! It's always a bit sad when series end, but I did have a lot of fun reading their story.
Hush Anonymous by Crea Reitan is a deliciously dark and surprisingly sweet MM romance that completely won me over with its unique blend of vulnerability and fierce possessiveness.
Kylen’s story starts from such a raw place, he’s haunted by past trauma, is cripplingly shy, and using the anonymity of Hush Anonymous as a safe way to explore his desires.
His journey from hiding in the darkness to slowly opening up felt so real and deeply emotional. I loved how the book handles his self consciousness and healing without shying away from the intensity of his experiences.
Arek, on the other hand, is the ultimate obsessive dream (or nightmare, depending on your taste). 😜 His instant fixation on Kylen and unapologetic “he’s mine” energy, complete with deadly threats, brings a thrilling edge that had me hooked. What surprised me most was how tender their connection becomes once the stalking phase shifts into something real and consensual. The way Arek instinctively knows how to care for Kylen, respecting his boundaries while unleashing that protective, possessive side, creates some incredibly steamy and heartfelt moments. Their dynamic is equal parts sweet and dangerous, and I couldn’t get enough of it.
Set in the Longwood U world, the book captures that intense university atmosphere with just the right amount of campus life mixed into the romance. The author delivers a story that’s spicy, emotional, and full of that addictive dark romance tension without crossing into unnecessary angst.
If you enjoy MM romances with shy, traumatized heroes finding their match in a dangerously devoted partner, stalking to lovers vibes, and a healthy dose of possessiveness, Hush Anonymous is an absolute treat.
It’s addictive, comforting in its own twisted way, and left me smiling through the heat.
I love this author and their work, I’ll definitely be recommending this book.
i loved this book SOOO much. i was raving about it to my friend yesterday, i loved it so much. did i have to explain about 20 books of lore to her? yes. but did i still tell her? yes.
i love the van dorens. they are, by far, my favourite crea family. but oh my gosh, i don’t know who said in this book “we breed like rabbits” but they were NOT wrong. why were there so many of them????
i do also love the whitakers (yes, i choose to call them the whitakers. they have the most with their surname = the surname of the house) and i always have. i love their dynamic, albeit a littleee strange. i love their protectiveness over their kids, too. i also love how protective kole is of kylen (well, for a little bit).
i love how arek noticed who kylen was IMMEDIATELY after hearing him, because he’d spent his whole life feeling like he needed to learn and read people. i love how insanely possessive and protective arek was over kylen (yes, that does include what he did to the teacher).
but one thing i CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH is read the warnings. something along the lines of what happened to kylen, happened to me. i read the warnings. i read that book. it was user error. but it made me cry my mfing eyes out when kylen ran away, when he told arek. because it is so, so scary to tell someone. so please do read the warnings 😭 i definitely would’ve read it regardless but it was extremely sad, and it hurt my heart to read that scene.
otherwise, this book was incredible. i love the concept of hush, and hush anonymous. i love dik and their businesses. i’m so, so upset that longwood u is over. it is by far one of my favourite crea series (though i love all of her mm ones) and i’ll be so upset to see it gone. however, this book was an amazing parting book.
thank you crea for your hardwork on this series!!

Arek and Kylen have known one another for a few years now, but not in a way that truly made them friends or anything. But when Kylen enters Hush Anonymous, a way to hook up but without anyone knowing who they were hooking up with, he never expected to the person he hooks with is Arek. Or that Arek would ever let him go after that. Not that Kylen has any idea at first it is Arek. But the same can’t be said for Arek. He immediately picks up that it is Kylen and something in him settles. Just like his Dad Loren, he found his person and just knew. He just has to wait for Kylen to catch up. He plans to make Kylen his forever, which also comes with protecting Kylen from those who harm him. Including Kylen’s past. I loved these two! First off, if you love Loren Van Doren, then you will love Arek. He is definitely Loren’s son in this story. Following his dad a bit when it comes to falling in love. It was really amusing to watch him follow in his dad’s footsteps. I also loved sweet Kylen, who really has been through some trauma and gains so much confidence as the story goes on because Arek is a safe space for him. They were actually very cute together. And I loved seeing them fall harder for one another as the story went on. Plenty of humor and romance and cameos from lots of beloved characters. I’m sad to hear this is the last Longwood U story, but it’s truly been a great series!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I love coming back to Longwood U, and this story is no exception, especially when we get another Van Doren as well. There is a small warning at the beginning of this book to let you know that this book takes place, timeline-wise, before Graduation No Face, so keep that in mind if you are new to these stories.
In this book, we have Kylen; he created Hush Anonymous for himself. With childhood trauma still haunting him, he's shy and a little awkward and wanted a place where no one could judge him, because he'd be anonymous... right?
Arek is Loren's son, or one of them anyway. He has a twin brother called Orev as well, who we do get to meet in this story. Like Loren, he's a little psychotic, well, a lot really, and he knows exactly who he's paired with at Hush Anonymous and like Loren, he's found his person and he won't let go.
Kylen is carrying a lot of trauma, and Arek knows it, but he won't push him to tell him everything straight away. He wants Kylen to share the information on his own terms, not someone else's. Something that Arek feels isn't always something Kylen gets.
We also get more of Kole, Kylen's sister, and I have to admit I'm a tiny bit in love with her if I'm honest.
While this is the end of the Longwood U series at the moment, I hope we do get to see more of this generation of characters in the future.
Arik is just another psychopathic Van Doren. Because of the way he was raised he mostly has it under control. Until he spends one special night with the man he’s meant to be with forever. Kylen is a virgin with a debilitating secret. He decides the only way he’s going to get his virginity taken care of is to spend a few hours at Hush Anonymous. People meet totally in the dark and fulfill their dreams, fantasies, or whatever gets them off.
This was an interesting story set in the Van Doren Universe, set quite a few years in the future. Psychopaths still rein and are still falling in love with mostly innocents. Arik may be the most likable Van Doren ever, stalking aside. I did find Kylen’s extreme shyness and innocence out of character for someone who would go to a club to have sex in the dark with a stranger.
While this book dealt with a new generation of Van Doren’s all the familiar names came in to play in one way or another. There was enough blood, vengeance, and heat to keep the legacy going strong.
I am a huge fan of this author’s characters and books. I’ll read them as long as they are being written.
Review Copy requested and reviewed on behalf of OMGReads.
↓↓ When I crack into a Crea book, I just know I am in for a good time. Kylen and Arek were no different. I loved these two so much.
Oh sweet summer child Kylen absolutely adorable and I loved him and his shy was. The more that the book went on, he was still shy but he also grew confidence. I think Arek played a big part in that.
Despite Arek being a psychopath, he was Kylen's safe place from the very beginning. He allowed him to be safe, vulnerable and comfortable when he wanted to explore and learn things.
The way that Arek was instantly possessive and obsessed, HOT. He knew instantly that Kylen was his person and he stopped at nothing to prove that.
I know that this is in the future of some of the other series and of second gen, so I LOVED that we got some more info on the other Van Dorens and their kids.
I know that this is the last in this series but I know that we will see these characters and the Van Doren's again in future books/series.
𝚆𝙷𝙰𝚃 𝚃𝙾 𝙴𝚇𝙿𝙴𝙲𝚃 💜 Virgin MC 💜 Possessive 💜 Key Party 💜 Anonymous Hookups 💜 Frat Boys to Lovers 💜 Psychopath MC 💜 Light Stalking
I love me a psychopath, and Crea never disappoints!
I knew it was going to be a good time when I saw this was about another Van Doren. Possessive? Yup. A little unhinged? Absolutely. Sign me up!
Kylen and Arek couldn’t be more opposite if they tried, but somehow they fit together perfectly.
Kylen has been through something that no one should have to go through. So he creates Hush Anonymous as a way for him to experience intimacy while still feeling safe. Enter Arek, Kylen’s very first match. Who immediately decides that Kylen is his. And, well… like father, like son, the stalking begins.
Even as obsessive and possessive as Arek is, I love how much he cared for Kylen. He always made sure that Kylen felt safe, protected, and supported. Seeing Kylen heal and grow throughout the story was beautiful, honestly one of the best parts. I loved seeing him reclaim pieces of himself, it just made my little heart so happy.
I received a copy from the author and am voluntarily sharing my honest opinion.
Once again Crea Reitan brought us a unique story. Kylen is on the timid side he decides to partake in the Hush Anonymous hookup were you can hook up with someone in the dark and neither of you know who the other person is. He is determined to lose his virginity. Arek has always liked to just have a not strings attached hookup until he is paired up with Kylen, he is hooked right away and then decided to only be the person to hook up with him. Arek truly is his fathers son and stalks Kylen keeping tabs on him becomes obsessive and possessive. While kylen still is shy his confidence grows. They are opposite in so many ways but complete each other. The story is hot and i loved how their relationship unfolded. Bring me a Van Doren any day and I will devour the story. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.
Crea writes the most perfect psychopath possessive MCs. 🥰 you cant help but fall in love with them and Arek is no different. Especially when he is matched with Kylen at Hush Anonymous. Arek recognized him right away because of how cute and shy Kylen is. Kylen of course is the sweetest most innocent man that could ever exist. Hes so filled with anxiety and shyness that he needed to create H.A. Just so he can be comfortable being intimate. And the fact that Kylen and Kole are the kids of Simon, Quinn,Declan,Damon,Sage and Zarek 😭😭😭😭😭🥰 my heart is so happy. Im going to need all the new Gen kids to have books 😭 but also im REALLY going to need Adalaides story! Literally the whole Crea universe collided in this book haha and im sooooo happy about it!
Let's start out on the positive... big picture. I loved the idea of this story. I love an unhinged mc and Arek is just so great. I really enjoyed the relationship between Arek and Kylen. I really enjoyed the side characters and how they interacted. What brought me down... I'm going to say the issues i had could be traced back to editing. Jokes repeated that were funny the first time, but then had me thinking I was losing my mind and going back searching through the book because i had reas it before. Similarly, repetitive scenes where something is happening for the first time, when actually it happened 20 pages earlier. It was really frustrating when I really did enjoy the story, but it just kept taking me out of it.
Hush Anonymous is book five of the Longwood U Series.
I think I have a new favourite story by Crea Reitan. This one was written perfectly and I loved seeing the love story between Kylen and Arek develop. Kylen has a traumatic past which he is constantly trying to move on from and not impact his life. For the most part he is successful, but there are some bad moments for him. Arek is there for him through everything he needs. He was exactly what Kylen needed. I loved how all these series have slight ways they are all connected and we get to revisit with some of these characters along the way. This was a sensational read!
One thing I loved about this authors books is how much you also fall in love with the community and side characters in each story. Just like all of the Van Doren.
When Kylan wants an anonymous "adventure" he goes straight to Hush Anonymous. But once Alek lays eyes on him nobody else can have him. He makes sure he's the only one to ever have Kylan. And Kylans loves Aleks brand of possession.
There was also heartbreaking moments as Kylans story is revealed and Alek is just what he needed.
I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Yay! Not only do we get an offspring from the Van Doren family line, but we also get a Whitaker. Kylen designs another entrepreneurial opportunity for his frat house. Hush Anonymous is exactly what it sounds like—a way to hook up completely anonymously in a safe environment, giving those who think they might be judged for their kinks a chance to explore without fear.
Arek, however, recognizes Kylen’s voice, and after one night, he’s hooked. It’s just a matter of time before Kylen realizes his Hush mystery man is his frat brother. Arek is exactly what Kylen needs!
Kylen and Arek are perfect together. I didn’t know what to think about this pairing, having really gotten to know Arek best on Dark Island, but somehow, they really do work. The interaction they have at Hush sets off Arek’s possessiveness, and before Kylen knows it, he has a full blown stalker situation on his hands. Arek is someone that will slay dragons for Kylen. He will protect him from everything and help him grow without holding him back. This one is spicy, but it also has lots of feels, including seeing the first gen characters in the latter half of the story. I’m going to be sad to say goodbye to Longwood U, but I have a feeling we will still see many of these characters again.
After hating the first book in the series, this is the first other I gave a chance.
And now I really am sad, that I'm so annoyed at the characters in book 1 and knowing that they are kind of intertwined with book 2. But I just hated one of the MMC's in book 1 so much...
This one tho, I really liked both MMC's and I liked the idea of the book, I liked the emotional damage I got.
Also it encouraged me to actually read the Van Doren series (Which I tried to start but wasn't very interested after 20% of book 1)
So all in all, this was a good read. Fun even. Interesting. I wanted to devour the book.
This book is part of the Longwood U series and has one of my favorite family - a Van Doren. Alek is unhinged but in a way that makes Kylen safe and protected. He delivers punishment to the one that caused harm to Kylen. The story was sweet and dealt with some old trauma, obsession from one of the MMC and steam. I was sad that we weren’t part of the boyfriend meeting with all the Van Doren’s. Hopefully that will show up later. If you love the other Van Doren books, you will definitely love this one.
This is Arek & Kylen's story. Arek is our loveable psychopath & Kylen is our shy, sweet, blushing boy. They are both in the same fraternity, DIK. Kylen set up Hush Anonymous for the fraternity to make some extra money, but also, so he has a space he feels comfortable exploring. Once Arek gets a taste of Kylen, he decides that he's his. The story follows them finding their way together & has a lot of great side characters and family members. There's humor, spice, anger, love, friendship, & family. Would definitely recommend.
This author is very hit or miss for me and this book had potential but was not it. The first half is interesting about Hush Anonymous, a sex club where you are paired with an anonymous partner and have sex in the dark. Kylen goes and finds himself always with the same partner and he doesn’t know who he is in real life… interesting. Then all of a sudden we are hearing about 10 other families with 100 cousins and their lives that have nothing to do with Arek and Kylen. Also Kole is quite possibly one of the 5 worst characters I’ve ever had to read and she’s featured heavily in this.
I love a morally gray psychopath falling in love with a golden retriever! It makes for such an entertaining story. Hush Anonymous was spicy and witty and covered a lot of heavy topics in a respectful way. I loved that Arek was so protective over those around him and adds Kylen to his list so easily. The last chapter and scenes felt like they cut off quickly, but I’m excited for the rest of the series! Thank you, CC, for the ARC!
I loved everything about this book, it was such a good read. I loved the storyline, the way they hooked up which was hot and so different. Arek's possessiveness was so hot and i loved how he wasn't going to let anyone stand it his way. Kylen was such a sweet person and I loved how Arek respected his boundaries. Both families were so entertaining and it was great to see them play a big part of this story.
I was hoping we would get a story about just these two characters!! I am so excited that they were together! Arek is just the right amount of unhinged for Kylen to feel safe and cared for. But how can you not love a Van Doren? They are the perfect amount of psycho and obsessed. They will burn the world down or at least take down those who hurt their loved ones! I cannot wait to find out what happens with Orev.
