Rate this book
I finally get away, only to spin out on black ice and wrap my car around a tree.

When I wake, I'm holed up in a snowed-in cabin with a fire crackling low and a stranger caring for me. After years of surviving a man who shattered my mind and body, this stranger starts to feel almost… safe.

That is, until I realize its all a lie.

I escaped one monster, only to be hunted by another.

The difference?
I'm done being prey.

Wow, this starts off with a bang! The entire time was an emotional rollercoaster.

Flor is in an accident, wakes up in an unfamiliar place with someone she doesn’t know. Beep, beep, beep. As time goes on things are not at all what they seem. Andrew...Nex…the past, it all starts coming together. She is stronger than she ever realized.

Arc Review

It was a good novella. I liked the plot of it. I liked that it got straight to the point. I liked how the main FMC was able to over come what had happened to her. She also had the help of a mystery man. Overall I gave it 4 stars. I enjoyed the little bit of spicy that was in there as well.

Flor’s life is falling apart when she crashes face to face with the literal man of her dreams! The scariest moment of her life leads to happily ever after in this romantic thriller. Though this story is nothing short of sweet, the triggers are real! This quick, adrenaline rush read is sure to get your heart pumping!!

I went into this book blind. I demolished this book. The beginning honestly did confuse me for a hot minute but as I continued reading it made more sense. In my head I was debating on if the guy in her dreams was the grim reaper. Spoiler he was not. It says that you can skip chapter 12 but I recommend reading it. I dont think it was too dark compared to some of the other stuff I have read. It goes through what she has been through but not in horrific detail. There is some detail but not anything gory. I definitely will be recommending this one when it comes out.

I wasn't sure where this was going in the beginning and was afraid it was predictable to a certain degree but then I honestly didn't see it coming the way it did and ended up thoroughly enjoying it!!! I highly recommend for a little palate cleaner or something to get you out of a slump for sure. Full transparency I LOVE that this book is a novella because it got to the point without being a whole drawn-out thing. All the major plot points are there.

I had the chance to read Fracture by Cecelia
Farmer as an ARC and really enjoyed it.
Since it's a novella, it gets straight to the point without feeling rushed or dragged out, which I appreciated. It's not very spicy, but the story itself makes up for it. That plot twist though I did NOT see it coming the way it did. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this as a quick read or a perfect palate cleanser.

One of the reasons I love novellas more and more is that it the stories get to the meat of the story. And this one did not disappoint!

Un-put-downable (is that a word? Now it is) and I was so enthralled with it from start to finish.

Love the redemption at the end.

Also loved the trigger warning and that a chapter was skippable without being detriment to the story 🫶🏻 I read it anyway and I thought it added more to the ending.

Wow, what a fast-paced thriller! Florence is running from a nightmare when she crashes her car into a tree and is rescued by a gorgeous man and taken to his cabin to recuperate. The only problem is, the cabin isn't real, and by the time she realizes it, she finds herself in another dangerous situation. Twists, turns, and surprises throughput this story will keep you on your toes until the very end!

I really enjoyed this book. It’s not my normal genre, but I wanted to give it a try and support a new author. I thought it was well written. Her descriptions made it easy to “see” everything she was writing about. It wasn’t long enough for there to be tons of character development, but there was enough to keep you reading. I’m excited to follow this author and read more of her work.

Cecelia does an amazing job of making you think you know the ending and then turning it upside down in the best way possible. It starts out with a bang and just keeps you on your toes the entire way through. The FMC was a great example of how strong women can be when faced with the most difficult situations.

This book was an emotional read. It was a quick read with a hint of spice, which was nice. I personally would suggest reading chapter 12, even though the author says you can skip it if needed. Though reading this chapter help me understand the female main character a bit more and wasn’t as dark as most of the things I’ve read 😅 please make sure to read the TWs

Fracture completely hooked me. It was packed with twists and turns that kept me guessing. There was never a dull moment, and I found myself flying through pages. The suspense was constant, and the tension kept building right up until the end. If you enjoy thrillers that leave you questioning everything, this is definitely a must read.

It was a great short read. It seemed to miss a few details like jumping to one scene to the next, but I loved it anyways.

“You don’t get to talk anymore, Andrew.”

I really enjoyed this little HEA Novella! Only 90 pages and the pacing and plot points felt superior to some 200 odd page novellas I’ve read recently. I meshed with the writing style 🌸

We jump straight into FMCs POV of a car accident, then a series of events that had me curious and thinking. Who are these people, where are they, what are their names etc.

Check triggers, I also appreciate the books exposure of red flags in relationships turning to DV 🖤 Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read the ARC ✨

SPOILER ALERT!!

Fractured took me a little while to get into. The beginning felt slow for my personal reading preference, but once I reached the middle of the story, the suspense really picked up and kept me engaged through the end.

One of the strongest aspects of this book for me was the male main character. He is portrayed as dark, unforgiving, and intimidating to others, yet with her he shows a completely different side — soft, protective, and gentle. I really enjoyed seeing that contrast in his personality. It added depth to his character and made their dynamic interesting.

The plot twist involving the coma dream sequence in the middle of the book was unexpected and creative. While I wish this portion had been more descriptive and felt a little more integrated into the story, it was still an interesting element that added to the overall suspense.

The writing style by Cecelia Farmer was very easy to read, which made the story flow smoothly once it picked up pace. I especially enjoyed the ending — it felt intense and satisfying, particularly with the resolution involving her abusive ex and the way the romance developed.

Overall, I would recommend Fractured to readers who enjoy suspenseful romance with darker themes and protective male leads. For me, this was a 3 out of 5 stars read, but I can see it being a great fit for readers who love a mix of romance and suspense.

Fracture was a quick read, but there was a lot packed into such a short book. It immediately grabs your attention when the FMC, Flo crashes her car during a blizzard and wakes up in a secluded cabin with a mysterious stranger. Right away you know she’s running from something or someone but the story slowly reveals the truth piece by piece.

I liked the suspense and mystery throughout the book because it kept me questioning what was real and what wasn’t. After she wakes up again in the hospital and believes the stranger may have just been part of her imagination, the story takes another turn and becomes even darker once she realizes he’s actually connected to the person she fears most.

The relationship development between them was interesting, especially watching her slowly explore a stronger and darker side of herself that she never thought existed. By the end, I really liked how the Flo transforms from someone constantly running away into someone willing to become the hunter and go after the people who wronged her.

Overall, it was suspenseful, emotional, and had enough twists to keep me hooked the entire time.

This was bizarrely good. Went in half blind, and for a second thought, it was paranormal, but no, it was just odd. But in a good way. Twisted wee story of survival and unlikely relationship. I really wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, but it was a very quick read, touch of spice, and plenty of suspense. It's certainly no epic love story and completely improbable, but I actually enjoyed it.
