**EDITED**
6 Audiobooks for 1 credit- sign me up! Welp, it kinda fell flat in the end, but hey, I got 2 good books out of it. This series is of the Eden siblings.

Indigo Ridge-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Great narrators, loved the story and although I figured out the threat, it was still awesome! I loved how Griffin Eden and Winslow communicated with one another. I got a kick out of the entire Eden clan.

Juniper Hill- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Awww, Memphis and baby Drake! I had a soft spot for them. She was really working hard to make a good life for her newborn son. It was a bit of insta love with her and Knox Eden, but I still enjoyed them. I did feel she let the daycare stuff go too far! Ain't no way any self respecting mama bear would put up with the amount of foolishness she was dealing with and not file a report with management or pull her kid from the facility all together! Fantastic narrators.

Garnet Flats- NO Stars, because I skipped it. You can't pay me to read/ listen to romance about someone who dumped the h to marry her best friend, then shows back up in her life years later with an explanation of "it was to protect you or some foolishness"! And you want me to root for their HEA- yeah, that's a nope! Thank God for Goodreads reviews, so I knew not to even bother! Talia Eden deserved better! I love Connor Crais as a narrator, but Cindy Kay....the story gotta be 🔥, otherwise, I just cannot!

Jasper Vale- DNF'd. Eloise Eden drunk married Jasper in Vegas, ugh, sooo unoriginal! Not to mention, dude barely seemed into her, so I just wasn't buying any of it.

Crimson River- DNF'd this too! This was weird because, Lyla Eden had just been strangled (she was released) while hiking by herself and then Vance (a cop) shows up in town, tracking down the suspect for some unsolved murders in another state. They're attracted to each other, but it's only been a couple of days since the attack. She's still bruised and can barely use her voice and she's gonna jump in the car with this stranger and take him to the remote area where it happened all because he says he's a cop (not that she even bothered to check)? Oh and her sister in law is the chief of police and she didn't tell her about this dude! Sigh! Why do the women is these books have to be so stupid? Like no self preservation AT ALL! And next thing you know they're having sex, because she needs to "feel" anything but the attack! At this point, I no longer cared who attacked her or why, cuz this was just silly! Plus, the first 2 books were Eden brothers, who were fiercely protective, good and loving partners. Then you get to the three Eden sisters and they're doormats! Can they get some good guys like their brothers are?

Sable Peak- I was so over the series at this point, I couldn't give it a fair shake, so I DNF'd. Perhaps I'll try again at some point.

Indigo Ridge- I found myself loving the audio book more than the physical book with this story. I flew through it and really enjoyed the narrators.

Juniper Hill- the narrators were great you could feel the emotion coming off Memphis and the heart pounding stress when the events go down near the end. My heart was in my throat.

Garnet Flats- the narrators were incredible god how the emotion bled through their words. I felt the ache of pain to the point of tears during this story. Phenomenal performance here. One of my favorite books in the series.

Jasper Vale- this is my favorite book in the series but for me the narrator for Jasper was SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT. I wouldn't say his voice sounded at all like it was described. Had one of the other male narrators in this series performed this, I feel it would have been a 5 star listen for me. Connor Crais, JF Harding, Aaron Shedlock, Sean Masters all would have been good choices. This narrator is fine just not for Jasper. That being said Lucy Rivers was phenomenal as Eloise. When she cries in the shower I was tearing up along with her. She does such a good job bringing forth the emotions of the characters she narrates. My heart ached for Eloise I felt what she was feeling in this book. LOVED the audio narrator notes aside.

Crimson River- This story was just as good on audio as it was reading it. I love Vance and Lyla. When the truth comes out I was just as in my feels listening as I had been when I read it for the first time. The narrators were great here.

Sable Peak- Admittedly I took a pause here. I'll eventually come back to this one, but I wasn't in the mood for this story at the current moment. The unrequited love Vera has for Mateo and we start the book with multiple chapters from Vera's POV where the other books it was a quicker back and forth which I need here given repetitive nature of how Vera is feeling. While the narrators are great - this may be one of those books that hits better for me reading vs. listening. Sometimes angst when listening can become too much haha. I did love this book when I read it a few years ago.

This series is great. All of the Eden's have a really unique and individual story to tell. The series spans several years which makes it all that more believable and helps add to the depth of each individual story. Each story CAN be read as a standalone, but the ending of each book within the series sets you up perfectly for the next in the series. I found that I didn't want to leave this setting for any time at all. 10/10 recommend

Small towns can be spicy

Over the course of the series, The Scene covers suspense, single parents, second chances, secret marriage, so many different romance standards that Devney Perry is able to demonstrate her mastery across the genre. The Scene series was a good time that I will happily read again.

I read these books last year and listening on audio for the first time. Didn’t think I could love them more but apparently I do, I will forever love this series and it lives rent free in my mind. I just read (listened) to Devneys entire backlist (besides the treasure state wildcats) and forever adore her writing.

This was a great way to meet the Eden family - I read each novel over a few weeks (with other books in-between). The first few were quite engaging - however - I ended up rushing the last couple - really to finish thier family saga.

Reli (ou reouvi) a série toda. Os seis livros.
E eu continuo amando essa história.
O livro 1 (Indigo Ridge), o 5 (Crimson River) e o 6 (Sable Peak) continuam sendo meus favoritos!

Not to promote large midwestern heterosexual American lifestyles or anything, but this kind of slapped. For a few reasons. It centres around 6 siblings all finding their careers and passions while navigating family dynamics and obviously finding love. I liked that there were overlapping threads in the storyline that kept the tension going without feeling unnatural. Hard to decide who is my favourite, but probably Mateo and Vera?
