Cruel Omega Summer: A Cozy Small Town Why Choose Omegaverse Spicy Fantasy Summer Romance

Rate this book
She left Driftwood Harbor to chase the future.
She didn’t expect four Alphas to be waiting when she came home.

Matilda Parker had a plan. Graduate. Reseach. Leave small-town life behind forever.

Now she’s twenty-two, back in Driftwood Harbor with a collapsing thesis, a postponed research career, and the unsettling realization that her perfectly mapped future might not exist anymore.

She definitely didn’t come back for Liam Hayes.

But Liam isn’t the boy she left behind.

He’s part of a pack now.
And the half-finished bond between them—the one they never completed three years ago—has never faded.

His pack watches her like they’ve already decided something.

Then the notes begin appearing.

Hidden in her apron pocket.
Tucked inside her research notebook.
Slipped into bags she knows she zipped shut.

Short messages. Observant. Intimate. Someone in this town has been paying very close attention to her.

Matilda believes in science, not fate.
In data, not destiny.

But the more time she spends in Driftwood Harbor… the harder it becomes to ignore the pull of the pack watching her like she already belongs to them.

And some bonds—no matter how long you run from them—refuse to break.

Another Amazing Omegaverse Romance!!

I really enjoyed this one. Matilda had walked away from Driftwood Cove so she could go to college and get away from Liam, the boy she did love. Fast forward three years and Matilda has come back for the summer and to work on her thesis. She steps off the bus in Driftwood Cove and goes back to her family’s store, where she will work for the summer. What a surprise, Liam, Sonny, Parker and Caleb are all there waiting for her. She realizes Liam is now in a pack with them and it happened 3 months ago. She felt it when it happened. The tether has stayed between them the whole time. It does take her awhile to come around to what the four alphas have known for awhile. It was awesome!

This is a 💛M/FMM BOOK 📖 🔞

I found it to be extremely difficult to read. It was very boring and there were some grammatical errors.

⭐️⭐️"While this book shows promise through its compelling premise and redeeming characters, the execution is currently too thin to warrant more than two stars. The narrative suffers from a lack of follow-through; without deeper character histories to ground the motivations or a clear sense of direction, the plot feels stagnant and boring. To truly succeed, these half-baked concepts need to be fully realized into a cohesive, intentional flow."

Contemplative

This one was reflective and contemplative and different from many in the series. Not as much my cup of tea but still well written. Emphasizes the importance of communication and how much heartbreak and lost time could be salvaged and saved through better communication.
