Keeping Her

Rate this book
Julia Fisher was everything to me. I loved her and would have done anything for her. But the night she walked out of my life, after deciding I wasn't good enough for her, I got out of town as fast as I could.
After six years, I'm coming home.
Now I am going to make it my mission to rub everything she gave up in her face. No matter how much I still love her, I need to bury it deep inside me because she chose him.

Brian Evans broke my heart—shattered every piece of my soul when he left. He decided that I wasn't worth the wait.
Now he's back in town.
He is a constant reminder of the pain that I endured at his hands. I won’t let him break me again.
A lot can happen in six years. People move on, fall in love again, and forget about the pain from the past. Seeing his face, hearing his voice, brings me back to a time when things were simple and love was enough for us.
I can't let him know that a part of me still loves him.

Now that they are brought face to face again, will they destroy each once more or will they discover that things aren't always what they seem? Are some bonds unbreakable? Are some people worth losing everything you have?

0 (zero) STAR Besides the mess this book is the h is a ungrateful bitch. I didn't want they ending up together. She married a guy who betrayed her taking pictures with her while she was sleeping looking like they were making out, what caused the H to go away. Miscommunication. When the H comes back he treated her really bad, wich I loved. First for being stupid and never realized her BFF ( who she married) was into her since forever, 2nd because she's dumb, 3rd for being stupid again. Then the H finds out the husband owned money to the mafia and he was planning to kill the h to get her life insurance and all things she left him on her will,.. The H confronts him about it when he already had a gun to kill her and frame the H, but the H is faster and kills the husband first. Anywho, after all came out she accused the H of lying to her and she couldn't forgive him. Of course, as a good H he chased and begged her until she decided to take things slow because she couldn't trust the H. For all I care she should be the one killed, since she was SO upset th H saved her. And the Epilogue, no words for it.

Soulmates. Manipulative best friend. Broken hearts. Judgy parents. Suspense/murder. This book was free on Kindle, hence i recommend it for a short, angsty read. Not much depth into the characters and the pace was super fast but i guess its acceptable since the story was about two soul mates reconnecting after 6 years apart.

There are no words.

And when I say that I don't mean in good way. When I read the five star reviews I couldn't wait to read Keeping Her. When I finished the book all I could do was shake my head in stunned shock and ask myself how could anyone give it five stars. From the very beginning I knew the book was a waste of money. I just didn't feel any chemistry between the H and H. Then there was the story line. The plot sounded really good when I read it before I bought the book and for the author there was so many possibilities to write the kind of book readers deserve, but instead chose to give us story that at every turn had me asking myself WTF kind of people are the H and H! My advice to other readers is don't waste your time or money on this one.

I apparently had bought this book on my kindle app and supposedly read it at one time but I don't recall it. Which seems weird because I think I'd remember reading this crap!

The H said he always loved her blah blah blah but had no problem having a OW give him a blowup right in front of his bedroom window while the h knownly witnessed it.

I quit reading it at the 54% point.

Between her just accepting him bsck and the boredom while reading it I just couldn't finish it!

I really liked this book, though it was really angsty because of a huge miscommunication at the beginning of the book. It really did unsettle me that Julia married someone else when she knew that her soul mate was Brian. I felt a little betrayed by her. Thank goodness the author didn't go into detail about their sex life as a married couple and that they never had kids or were trying for kids. I also hated how Brian

Good book! It looks like it is the first in the series with Brian's friends, but I notice that in GR there is no order (or Amazon). I'd like to know what order to read the next books in so that I don't feel like I'm skipping around.

Had so much potential in the start but lost it as too much unnecessary drama unfolded - her husband owed the mafia a lot of money, then there was the plot to murder her for money (Dan was her best friend, and I felt like he was written to be that sinister so that we'd end up hating him so it's okay for Jules to have kept loving Brian and emotionally cheating on him, and for Brian and Jules to end up together in the end), and Brian's father lives to try to kill her to get revenge on him. Oh and Brian was so jealous possessive in the beginning that he should have fought for her instead of just believing the text messages he received that broke them up in the first place.

**JOSIE'S REVIEW**

I have waited forever to get my hands on Keeping Her, and as soon as I got it, I jumped in and could not put it down. The author does an amazing job in adding drama, angst, secrets, some really great sex and an amazing alpha possessive male character. The prologue was nothing short of amazing which completely grabbed me. I love when a book starts off with a strong start and continues on like that throughout the book. The story is told through alternate POV’s. Which for me is my favorite because I always love knowing what each character is feeling and going through.

Julia and Brian were high school sweethearts who loved each other dearly. Julia is offered a chance to go to Europe for the summer, and Brian is not happy about it. Julia was only going away for 2 months. She thought Brian loved her and that he would wait for her but he never said good bye. When she returned he had left town. Julia was shattered, destroyed, and broken. Six 6 years later, Brian is back, but Julia has moved on. She was able to forget about Brian or that’s what she thought until she continues to see him all over town. Julia is determined to not let the memories of his touch, his voice, and his promises of love ruin what she has built over the years.

Brian loved Julia so much. She was everything to him. He didn’t have much and his past was not a good one. When he found Julia things had changed. He knew Europe was a chance for her but she walked away from him. Brian would have done anything for her, but he couldn’t stick around when she returned from Europe. He couldn’t deal with the pain and hurt she caused him, so he left town. 6 years ago, Julia thought Brian was no good, but now Brian is going to show her just how good he is any chance he gets. Brian is cruel, vindictive and crude. He does all the wrong things while covering the fact that he is still in love with Julia.

“What are you doing here?”

“It’s a free country and I’m just having a few drinks.”

“You know my life was going fu*king fine until you showed up.”

“Mine, too sweetheart.”

“Oh, I’m sure. You made that clear the night you decided to walk away.”

“It’s easy to walk away when you’re clearly not fu*king wanted.”

The angst, banter and tension was brilliantly done. I felt anxious and the buildup leading up to the confrontation kept me on my toes. You can feel the turmoil Julia and Brian have over their unresolved feelings for each other, but hurts from the past won’t let them move on. When they finally opened up to one another lies will be revealed. Julia and Brian will find out they were both betrayed 6 years ago and their lives were stolen away. Brian and Julia have to decide if their love is worth risking everything again.

“I was always scared I wasn’t enough for you. You were my entire world, Jules, and I felt like I didn’t belong in yours. I believed it because it was my worst fear, but I never stopped loving you. I’ll give you anything you want. Just say the word.”

“I have never been able to tell you no. I think that’s what scare me more than anything else. I can’t go through losing you again, Brian. I can’t grieve you again. I thoughts I would never see you again, much less be with you like this. People don’t get second chances like this.”

Brian is hiding a secret from Julia. One that could keep her from him forever. When his truth finally comes out, she is once again left hurt and questioning everything she has known. I loved the how the author slowly developed the characters relationship and the plot of the story. Everything fell into place at the right time. Both of these characters are relatable and I connected with both of them. I was really cheering on the sidelines hoping that things would work out for the couple. Can Brian finally get to keep Julia? Will Julia decide her love for Brian is enough to forgive him for keeping a secret? Is Julia and Brian’s love strong enough to withstand time, lies and space? Pick this book up you certainly won’t be sorry for the ride you get to experience.

I have so many choice words I could use to share my feelings but if I typed them I am sure Amazon and goodreads and probably my own blog would never allow the post to go live !! FREAKIN Alexis Noelle is known now as the TORTURE AUTHOR...I just read all 3 parts of her Fractured serial which ripped me to shreds and now without even reading the synop I signed on for this story. A new bad habit of mine , if I love the author I sign on for any of their work and let it surprise me !! WELL SURPRISE SURPRISE I WAS RIPPED TO SHREDS AGAIN !!

Julia and Brian have been together for 4 years , all throughout her high school years. Julia and Dan have been best friends for years and their parents run in the same rich people circles. Brian has never liked Dan and of course he thinks Dan wants Julia etc etc...things a lovely love triangle are made of !! Julia's parents despise Brian and Julia has spent years defending their love. They have a heated kind of love , anger , fights , hot sex and tons of love and emotion. As they stand Julia is leaving for the summer on a trip with her best friend Lacey. it is their last night together but Julia also needs to go see Dan. Had Julia known what would happen once she fell asleep at Dan's she never would have left Brian. That night ruined everything they had spent 4 years building. Julia's life was a mess after that and she never knew why Brian took off. Now years later Julia has moved on in life and Brian is back home making her life crazy. It is undeniable when it comes to Julia and Brian's bond. With the wonder of what really happened that night lingering between them and the threat of Julia's new life happily married in their way can they set things straight or will fate step in and prevent us from all finding out the truth.

This story gets crazy , I swear I don't know how I didn't expect things as they happened but I was shocked as SH** and thrown off guard I honestly was blown away. Secrets . lies , things buried in the past coming back to haunt , I mean you really get it all. On top of all this Brian is just so freakin HOT and consuming I mean I couldn't even think straight once he started dirty talking. This is a must read , seriously go buy it now !! You will be surprised by the connections and twists and turns !! Is there an HEA ?? That is for me to know and you to find out !!!!!!!!!!

Julia Fisher aka Jules is the one woman that Brian Evans would do anything for. He loves her always and forever. But is the feeling mutual? One decision six years ago will change their lives forever.

I really loved this story. It really hit home with a past flame. If you had the choice to do it over with someone you loved, would you? Would you have done everything in your power to make sure you followed your heart? Julia is completely shattered by Brian’s decision to not wait for her. But is the truth too hard to bear? The truth isn’t always what it seems. There are always two sides to every story. Was Brian just as hurt as Julia or were things better off the way they turned out? After seeing Brian every day since he has decided to come home, Julia feels like he is throwing up the past in her face. Is Brian trying to torment Julia or win her back?

What decisions would you make to protect the one you love? Would you be able to live with those decisions if you were the only one that knew? Or could you live a life based on lies to have everything you ever wanted?

At first, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to happen as far as Julia & Brian. Their love was so precious, it’s definitely a once in a lifetime chance to be given a second chance at true love. But will they be able to cherish what they had the first time or shatter each other for the final time? Remember Mr. Nice Guy isn’t always so nice. Who would you pick, the bad boy that your heart wants or the rich boy that mommy and daddy want you to have?

I really enjoyed this story because of the story that it tells. I just was really thrown for a loop to find out the real truth about Julia and Brian. Never assume you know the truth, ask the original source. You will know who is telling the truth. You won’t believe what happens in this story. It’s a must read. I am giving it 4 stars!!

Favorite Quote "What you need to remember is that the rainy days eventually end and the sun comes out. You just have to grab an umbrella and weather the storm. The only thing I can say to try to make it better is that you will never need to suffer through another storm on your own."

I was given a copy of this book from the author for an honest opinion.
Man do I love me an Alexis book. She can write a story and drop little tid bits here and there and then BANG they come back to haunt ya. You are left going “How did I not see that one coming??” Well this book had them in SPADES friends so be warned.
Brian and Julia/Jules have that once in a lifetime love. The connection is strong and the pull to be together is deep. Not everyone loves them being together but they just live in their bubble. They fight hard but love even harder. So when Brian gets mad and dumps Jules we are kinda stunned stupid. The POV flips from Jules to Brian and then we get the gut punch?? Wait she dumped him? HUH!! CRAP miscommunication city…now our people are apart and she is married to another….
Brian comes back to town to reclaim his woman. He is going to make life hard fro her but also wants her back. The two go back and forth until something happens to Jules whole world. It is turned upside down and only Brian can make it right again.
I love 2nd chance love stories…especially when the couple was torn apart and find their way back to each other. Ok so like any Alexis story you know we are waiting for the other shoe to drop…uhm it isn’t just a shoe but the whole dang show rack that falls!! The ending of the book has you going “ OMG” and then even a “WTH?” and maybe even an “WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!”.
I loved this story and really hope that Brian’s buddies get a book I am soo interested in them allllll…..

Brian loves Julia.
Dan loves Julia.
Julia loves them both. She loves Dan, after all he is best friend. She also loves Brian; he is her first and only true love. He is her everything until the morning she was leaving on a trip. Brian decided to do the same. He left town and wasn’t looking back trying to drown his memories of the only woman he would ever love that didn’t love him in return. Little did Brian know his ill timed disappearing act would break Julia’s heart and drive her into the arms of Dan, the one guy he cannot stand.

Brian is back to claim what is his and he is not resting until Julia is back in his arms. Brian coming back to town throws Julia for a loop that brings her right back as if no time had passed. She cannot seem to stop thinking about him or the way he can still make her feel. She could never bear that pain again, but she is still drawn to him and this has her questioning everything…including her marriage.

This story will make you scream at the big ball of miscommunications! Everything from crazy texts, tragic pasts, disturbing futures, hidden secrets, stuck up parents and the assumption of who a person based on their looks and status. Add in a healthy dose of people willing to do anything…and I mean anything for love and you have yourself an entertaining read. I also loved Brian’s clan of military friends and I hope we get to hear more from them in the future (hint, hint).
There is no way I can go in to more detail without ruining the story for you, so you will have to just get one-clicking and find out for yourself.

Julie Fisher and Brian Evans were a couple all during her high school years. They were very much in love. On the night before she was leaving on a European summer vacation, their relationship fell apart, she blamed him for leaving her and he blamed her for the same; although, they didn’t find out until years later that it was someone else who had a hand in their breakup.

Skip six years later, we find Julia married to Dan, her long time childhood friend, seemingly happy, owner of a bakery until one day the door to her bakery opens and in walks Brian. She tries to ignore him but he corner’s her in the back of the store and says to her “I know you better than anyone, even the douche bag that you married. How is it, Jules? Does he make you scream the way I used to? Does he even know what to do with you?” All the emotions that Julia had safely tucked away came tumbling back again, she felt like a lovesick teenager.

Julia is shaken to the core by Brian’s return. She does everything in her power to stay away from him until a tragedy turns her life upside down and Brian is there with all the love he has to offer to help her. What ensues is the pursuit of Julia by Brian. Can he break down the barriers that Julia had put up to survive their breakup so many years ago. Will the truth set her free to live her happily ever after with him? I totally enjoyed this book. It was mainly a very beautiful love story, with a murder thrown in to keep you interested right until the very end.

This book has love, mystery, intrigue, lies, deceit, murder and friendship all in one. It is a book that grabs your attention and keeps you guessing.

Julia Fisher thought she found her true love in high school, but he broke her heart right before she left for her summer overseas with her friend. With unanswered letters, texts and phone calls, Julia decided she had to move on in her life even with a broken heart and no answers.

Brian Evans couldn’t understand how Julia could just give up on their relationship like she did, but when she left for the summer after sending him a break up text, he was angry and so he left. But after six years he has decided to come back. Now the real fun was about to begin.

When Brian saw Julia for the first time in her shop, it was like his world came to a stop. It was obvious from their first interaction after all of these years they still had chemistry and many unresolved feelings.

I loved every minute of this book. At times I thought Brian was acting like a real jerk when he came back 6 years later, but as the story goes on and more information is revealed there is just so much more!!!!

Let’s just say this book has twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting. But I enjoyed every minute of this journey. Alexis Noelle you have done it again. This book is a great read that keeps the reading engaged from start to finish. I can’t wait to see what you will have for us next

* * * * * 5 Star Review

Brian and Julia had a passionate relationship, being young and in so much in-love. They spend every moment together being from a different background her parents were not happy she was dating the poor boy, yet that didn't matter to her.

Life played them wrong and after 8 years apart from one another Brian decides to come back to his hometown and face the only woman that had the power to break him, Julia his Jules.

Brian and Julia have some many hurt memories and in order for them to be able to make it as friends or even the remote chance to rekindle their long lost relationship. Julia will find herself second guessing the perfect life she had with her husband and best friend Dan.

But can this two forgive and forget all the secrets and lies they had endured during this reunion? Or will they finally have the closure they both need to move on?

WOW!! This was one crazy good love story. All the love, lies, passion, hate, betrayal Brian and Julia have to face in order to find the peace they long for.

I recommend for you to read Keeping Her, Alexis Noelle has delivered one incredible story.

Wow, this book is like one big miscommunication between Brian and Julia. They had a relationship but but something happens and they are no longer together. Both have a different idea of what happened but they don't confront each other. Eight years later Brian comes back to town. Julia is married to Dan, who was one of her closest friends.

I didn't like Brian at first, he came off as a jerk who just wanted to torture Julia with his present. Brian can't hide his feelings for Julia. Julia still has feeling for him too. There are a lot of secrets that come out in this story. There's some hints to the secret that Brain has. I was really surprised on his secret, I thought it was going to have something to do with his military experience but it didn't. I loved Julia, she is a strong character. She has a bunch of stuff thrown at her and you can only root for her to find her happiness.

This was a nice love story with a little bit of a shocker. I thought I kind of figured it out but NOPE, I didn't see that at all. Alexis provided us with a STRONG alpha named Brian who went above and beyond for his "forever" Julia. Sometimes his tactics were dickheaded but the ending results were still the same. Protect and love her at all cost. That cost got pricey and almost cost him a forever.

Hot, funny, and exasperating all at the same time. Brian was my baby though and had a heart of gold.

I have absolutely no intension of giving too much away with this review because like many of Alexis Noelle’s books – there is just too much good stuff going on to be able to pick out the stuff that really needs to be said without giving the whole plot away, really woman give my emotions a break will you, I’m frazzled!!
The book revolves around Julia and her relationship with both Brian and Dan.
Like many good plots, the crux of the problem is a festival of miscommunication, misjudged reactions and delusion. I found the complexity of the relationship between Julia and Brian easy to relate to because after all Love makes clever people do very stupid things.
Time may have passed and situations may have changed but feelings of both love and anger are abound and a resolution is not one that is likely to come easy. I got the feeling that especially with Julia that she considered that she may have too much to lose and fighting to hold on to what she had was easier than giving in to what she desired. Better the devil you know and all that.
I found the whole influx of secondary characters had my head spinning. There were so many people that I couldn’t help but want to tell them to keep their nose’s out, there were enough secrets and deceptions taking place that I think the author has enough material to fill god knows how many books..
You will be blindsided by some of the twists and turns that the plot unleashes along the way – other’s I have to say were a tad more accommodating – they evolved, a little like they introduced themselves along the way, giving a heads up to what they had intended for you – but every now and again, up stepped the big guns to blow all your preconceived notions right out of the water – I loved that the author kept me on my toes – so you have been warned pay attention,You may need to pick your chin up off the floor!!
The book completely held my attention and I just couldn’t put it down, I was glad that I could invest enough time to myself in order to finish it in one sitting because I don’t know that I could have tormented myself for leaving the story alone for any period of time- I just had to know if Julia would make the right decision( in my opinion), if Julia and Brian could let go of the past and embrace a future that was so uncertain and if Dan – well I just wanted to see what he had to add to the mix and boy he did not disappoint ( I will say no more on that topic!!!)
The story was told with super smart precision, wit and clarity. It was a faced paced, page turner that I can only say, that in my opinion was worth very minute that I spent in its company.

There is always two sides to every story. Brian Evans and Julia Fisher have two totally different sides to their story. How can that be?

One night Julia was Brian's and then she threw him away. Why? Brian Evan thinks its because he wasn't good enough for Julia Fisher. He was heartbroken and left town. Six years later he returns to his home town. Even though he still loves her, he decides he going to show her what she was missing when she choose him over Brian.

Julia loved Brian and then for no reason he broke her heart, Six years later he is back in town. Julia doesn't think she can handle seeing him and remember that painful time and now everywhere I turn, HE IS THERE! She feels like she can't escape him.

How will their story end? Will they destroy each other? Or will they discover what you think is the truth might not be that at all when you trust the wrong people. Can these two find a way back to one another?

Alexis Noelle, is my newest favorite author. I love all her books and this one exceeds my expectations. I loved Brian's sexy as hell, tell it like it is mouth. God that man can melt your panties with her his words and the way he smirks at you. I love his desire to be with Julia and when he hurts I seriously hurt for him. He is a smoking HOT !! Julia, poor Julia I want to smack her and want her to drop her life and go running to this hot guy. Its an amazingly well written story and I just love it to pieces. It is full of twists and turns and you'll never know whats going to happen next. I can't tell you anymore, except go one click this one.. You won't regret it!!

All it took was one night full of distrust, self doubt and deceit to rip apart Julia and Brian. They thought their bond was so strong and indestructible, yet was proven to be weak and gullible. Now after eight years all their unresolved issues come to a head when Brian comes back to town. To Brian, it doesn't matter that Julia is married and seemingly happy in life. He doesn't care if she doesn't want to see him. For Julia, she just can't believe after all this time that Brian is really back... and chasing her. Brian knows that he still loves Julia, but just as he forgives her and decides to move on..... she needs him. Forced to make life changing decisions to protect what he loves, Brian is shown what true love is all about. Can they overcome past fears and deceit? Or, just as they say, will history repeat itself?

This book was so AMAZING! The plot itself was unique and intriguing.. even when I didn't know whether to hate/love both of the main characters! This is a stand- alone novel, but I can't wait (hopefully) to hear more about Brian's sexy battle buddies. I loved how heartbreakingly real the fragility of young love is, with all the insecurities and miss-communications. There were a few sections when I wished the book would slow down and give me more depth, which is why I gave 4 stars. That didn't stop me from DEVOURING this novel in one sitting though and I HIGHLY recommend this book to any person who enjoys a angsty romance (and hot Army Rangers). ;)

This was a roller coaster ride it has a lot of twist and turns that you do not see coming. It is a hard book to review without giving the story away. To have a love that last through the worse pain that will last a lifetime is more than most of us can dream about. Brian and Julia have this but the past is still in their way and Julia is married to her best friend. Neither can more on nor forgive or forget both feel like the other did them wrong. Things happen that put a big twist on their life, more things happen to put a bigger twist on them. Can they overcome the pain of the past and of today or will this be the end of them.

This was an easy book to read, the words flow is easy and fast. A lot happens in a fast pace, the author never leaves you guessing but takes you on a mind blowing trip. She leaves you setting there saying NO WAY you have got to be kidding me. How can one man that loved you do these things, how can he become a stranger to you when you have given so much to him. You find you might be living a lie for so many years.

Parts of this story I find a little over the top but when you think about it they could be from today headlines. The choices we make can changes us to make bad choices. I did very much enjoy the plot and thought the story was told in a wonderful way. It was a page turner for sure, would I read more from this author yes I would. She tells a wonderful told story that keeps you hanging with your mouth open.

Holy Crap, I was completely hooked! I received this about 4 hours ago and started it straight away, I put it down about an hour ago and that only because I had finished! I loved all the twists and turns in this book especially as I thought I knew how this book was going to end. It was completely different though. I loved Julia and the she presented herself. She always tried to do her best by everyone else and ensured they were happy but I was so happy when she stood up for herself near the end! She is completely selfless. I adored Brian too. His sole focus was on Julia and he was so protective! Brian is the definition of Alpha male and it completely suits him. The love these two characters had for each other was plain to see. I couldn’t believe what Dan did and I had to read that part a few times to make sure I was reading it right! It completely blew my mind and was very unexpected. This is a book filled with many twists and turns, some suspense but above all love. Wonderfully written and it had a great Happy Ever After ending. An absolutely cracking read. 5 stars!

Talk about twists and turns on one chaotic ride! This is a story of love, loss, and total heartache, and it’s super intense, right until the very last page. Brian and Julia had a love that you’d see lasting a lifetime, but it was cut short due to huge misunderstandings on both sides, leading them both in different directions.

Years later, Brian strolls back into town, on a mission to attract Julia’s attention, and that he does. Things aren’t always what they seem, and slowly they both learn truths that could destroy them completely, or bring them back together. So many things happen all at once, it kind of makes your head spin, but definitely keeps your attention, and the need to know what’s going to happen next.

When you find out the person in your life, whom you thought you knew everything about and would never lie to you, has been hiding an enormous secret from you for years, how do you get over that and learn to trust again? Will your life ever be the same, and how do you move on from the deceit? So many questions to be answered, and I honestly don’t know what I’d do if I was in Julia’s shoes.

This is one roller coaster ride of a story. And it all based around how miscommunication can seriously damage relationships.

Julia and Brain are in love and though they are always arguing the love and chemistry is always present. Dan is Julia's best friend and he and Brian don't get on - jealousy on both parts.
The night before Julia is set to leave for a trip to Europe she had an argument with Brian about seeing Dan before she leaves. After that is all down hill for her - she she didn't get a response from Brian the next day she is literally heartbroken then he has chosen it ignore her and basically end their relationship.

We then fast forward 8 years and Julia is now married to Dan and live is great - that is until Brian shows back up in town. It is clear that they both still have feelings for each other but we learn that Brian thought she has ended the relationship all those years ago.

There are so many twists in this book that I loved it. As the book progresses you are met with the reason behind them both thinking that each other had called it off and you won't believe how.

Brilliant book well worth a read.

5 stars.

Obsession or love? It is a thin line but what if that line is simply something that people make you believe is a bad thing. What if you just love intensely and would do anything for the person you have given you heart to? Would their be any length time apart or line that you wouldn't cross to ensure that your love was reciprocated and kept safe?
Brian had his heart handed to him by the only person he loved completely, now 8 years later he is back home and she is back on his mind and in his heart.
Jules he cut off by the one man she loved tossed aside like everyone warned her, now 8 years later he is back in town determined to make her life hell.
But wait you will never guess the twists that Alexis has thrown in to this story! Hold on ladies because your head will spin!
This book is sex, wait not just sexy it is SCHEMXY! Brian doesn't hold back. Which make for some seriously hot reading.
Alexis never fails to give us a book that makes you sweat and cry at the same time and yeah this one is is just as hot and touching as ever!!!

I was given this book for an honest review. This is the first book; I’ve read by Author Alexis Noelle and can’t wait to read what she does next. This is the story of Julia Fisher and Brian Evans both had their hearts broken by each other six years ago.
This book had me from the first page till the end of the book. I just loved this book! Sometimes to love someone then to have a pain that still hurts you till this day can be hard to overcome. It’s hard to let go of this so Julia and Brain it’s hard to move on from this. They both blame each other for their past mistakes even now. I loved all the twist and turns this author gave us that, I was on the edge of chair till the end. In this story we did get some drama, some good sex scene and love as well between Julia and Brain that you were happy that they finally got what they truly wanted was each other. Happiness always makes love so much easier.
This book was written fantastic by Author Alexis Noelle. I can’t wait to see what she writes next. Go grab this book today and you’ll enjoy it as much as, I did.

* * ARC given on behalf of obsessed by books for an honest review *
I just loved this book. Brian is all alpha male, Julia is going on a summer trip with her best friend Lucy and Brian is wanting to spend every last minute with Julia, but her other life long friend Dan is wanting to see her before she leaves to. Brian isn't crazy about Dan, because he feels he wants more than friends with Julia. Brian and Julia argue, that's what they do, and then usually have incredible make up sex, which they do but she still goes to see Dan. The next day she is waiting on Brian to pick her up to take her to the airport, but he never shows, she never hears from him. She's heart broken that Brian would do that, years later julia's life has changed, she's married maybe not to her true love, but to safety. when Brian returns, julia can tell those feelings are still there. can they reunite, will the truth behind break up be revealed. I loved this book. Alexis did it again.

That was freaking HOT!!!!! I received this for an honest review.. I absolutely fell in love with this story.. If there were ever a second chance love story this IS IT!!! Once I picked up this book I could not put it down. Life at my house ceased to exist while I was reading this story. This story pulled me in like no other.
Jules and Brian were high school sweets and Jules was getting ready to go away for the summer with the firm belief that they would be together after she got back. (we know how that goes) fast forward years later and Brian is back but Jules is married....
This book was absolutely hot and heavy.
What I enjoyed about this book not only was it a second chance romance but there are twists that come at you without warning and ones that I personally did not see coming.. SUCH A GOOD BOOK!!!!

Alexis is like the master at writing a WTF book! I mean seriously, the gift she has for throwing the curve ball is unparalleled in her approach to throw you off your game. One minute you think you know where the story MIGHT be going and then *KA-BAM!* she switches gears and throws your heart totally off course. Totally wicked and wonderful story of two people who are just cosmically intertwined and destined for more…of what I’m not saying!

Julia and Brian’s story is beautifully written and tragically loveable. Nothing is ever what it seems and when truths are revealed, will hearts continue to be broken…or maybe healed?? I loved this book and the twists and turns it takes, and revelations I NEVER saw coming!

So take a chance, pick up this incredible romance! #teamBrian #alphamale #keepingher

I am so up and down with this book. I know this is a standalone, but it was just a little too tied up into a nice little bow for me . But... saying that... I really liked this book. I loved the steam, I loved how in the beginning the person we think is the asshole isn't the true asshole. I couldn't believe some of the truths that were uncovered. I couldn't believe the twists that Alexis threw at us in this story. There were a few times my reaction was "wait, what!" and I had to re-read what I just read through. I wanted to make sure that really was how it was wrote. I was just so surprised. The ultimate twist, the ultimate surprise was Dan. That's all I'm gonna say! HOly ISh!

Alexis really is the queen of surprises! But thank goodness for no cliffhangers!
