One minute, I’m walking my best friend’s colossal Great Dane. The next? He bolts. The leash snags my jeans.
Panic hits me as strangers openly stare at my lace panties. Phones rise like a sea of tiny cameras.
Then HE storms in.
A towering statue of a man. I can’t look away. His massive body steps in front of me, shielding my curves from the crowd’s hungry stares.
“Eyes. Off. Her.”
The impossibly handsome silver fox rescues the dog. Buys me coffee. And ridiculously expensive new jeans.
The attraction between us is instant. And wildly inappropriate.
Not exactly how a single mom with a sassy second-grader expects to meet a guy.
But when his hands trace my curves, they claim every inch my ex tried to convince me was unlovable.
One night with him ruins me for anyone else.
Then I discover who he really is.
Viktor Antonov. Billionaire Bratva Kingpin. And my ex-fiancé’s FATHER.
In a glittering Bratva ballroom, his bitter ex-wife sneers at my curves before the entire syndicate.
Viktor’s arm slides around my waist.
Hard. Possessive. Claiming.
“Careful,” he says softly. “That’s the mother of my heir you’re insulting.”
The ballroom goes silent.
And suddenly I understand something terrifying about Viktor Antonov. To the world, he’s a monster. To his enemies, he’s a death sentence.
And to me… I’m the one thing he’ll never let go.
For readers who silver fox mafia bosses, a fierce single-mom heroine, forbidden romance with the ex-fiancé’s father, curvy women who finally get worshipped the way they deserve, dangerously possessive Bratva alphas, surprise pregnancy, explosive family drama, and a ruthless hero who will burn the world down to protect what’s his. HEA guaranteed. No cheating.

Leah and Viktor have a cute or disastrous meeting. Depending on how you view it. Accidental pregnancy gets Leah and her 7 year old daughter . In a very dangerous situation. Due to Viktor being in the middle of a Mafia take over. Interesting enough plot. Even though I did guess who the baddies were . This author does good epilogue. Letting you know the future was good for the couple.
3.5 rounded up. Pretty predictable plot wise and I totally knew the “twist” before it happened. That said I really enjoyed the device that he couldn’t figure out how to not just be the Bratva pakhan and be a partner and she had to try and explain it to him. Usually in these books he does worship the ground she walks on but he also immediately knows how to treat her like a human and a partner.
I really enjoyed this book. The dynamic between Viktor and Leah was so great! I'm a sucker for an age gap romance and mafia romances. This author brought the characters to life and told a fantastic tale. I love Illiya and how he protects Eliza. This is my first time reading this author and will definitely read more!.

great book. Easily figured out the traitors...no surprise there, but didn't take away from anything. Liked the epilogues-always appreciate a look into the characters future!

His Russian voice dropped deadly saying eyes off her, it ovaries combust. It was lust-at-first-sight for them. He got her some two pants and they took the dog back to her friend and went out together after. Afterwards the two ended up spending a night of mind-blowing sex, worshipping every curve that her ex mocked with rough hands. They didn't exchanged no name or number they just had a great time. He was gone by the next morning when she woke up. However, he left something behind that would change the trajectory of both of their lives forever. They didn't think that they would see each other again by fast forward a couple months later she was attending a fundraiser where she ran into her horrible ex-fiancé’s and disgusting mother. Was Viktor happy to becoming a father again? How will he react to the news that she was once engaged to his son?

A humiliating moment courtesy of her best friend’s dog, leaves Leah sprawled out on the pavement with her panties showing for all to see. That’s when he shows up. A commanding presence that makes all the gawkers look away. He even offers to buy her a new pair of jeans.
The two later go on a date, and the fireworks continue to explode. He stays the night, but leaves a note behind when he goes. A goodbye.
Then they run into each other a few months later. Turns out he’s her ex’s father and he is pakhan of the Antonov Bratva. And, he just overheard her confessing to her best friend that she’s pregnant.
Viktor’s men are getting antsy as there is no clear line of succession for the bratva, no clear future. Viktor’s son is spoiled and unable to sire any heirs after his horrible car accident. But Viktor’s new heir could breathe some much-needed life into his world and put his men at ease about their future. Not to mention, he has feelings for Leah that he isn’t yet ready to put a name on.
However, Leah carrying his child, puts a target on her and her daughter’s heads. His home is the only place they can be truly safe. But even under Viktor’s protection, there have been threats on Leah’s life. And, she must now decide to face those threats head-on at Viktor’s side or to flee once and for all.
Okay, I have to start this by being completely unapologetically honest. The synopsis of this book sounded dumb. And, honestly it really was just as bad in the beginning. Leah and Viktor’s first meeting and the start of their romance seemed rushed and a bit forced. It did not come off as genuine or believable. I also had a really hard time with her talking about her past bad relationships and then doing the exact same things with Viktor. Like, you obviously haven’t learned anything.
The book did improve as it went, but it was always predicable. You knew what was coming from miles away. I knew from the moment one of the characters were introduced that he would be one of the people helping to betray Viktor. And, I was not wrong.
So, if you can get past the bad storytelling in the beginning and don’t mind the predictability, this book may be tolerable for you. Don’t expect anything earth-shattering, but it’s an okay read, despite its flaws.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Savage King: An Age Gap, Bratva Romance by Kai Lesy is bold, dramatic, and absolutely addictive from the very first scene.
Leah’s introduction is unforgettable—public humiliation, chaos, and then him. Viktor Antonov steps in like a force of nature, shutting everything down with a single command. From that moment on, you know this is going to be intense. And it is.
Viktor is the ultimate Bratva kingpin—powerful, possessive, and completely unapologetic. But what makes him stand out is how fiercely he claims and protects Leah, especially in moments where others try to tear her down. That ballroom scene? Iconic. The way he shuts down the judgment and makes it clear exactly who she is to him—perfection.
Leah is just as compelling. She’s been hurt, underestimated, and made to feel less than, but she doesn’t completely lose herself. Watching her step into this dangerous world while still holding onto her strength makes her easy to root for.
The age gap, forbidden ex’s father trope, and Bratva power dynamics all come together with high drama, heat, and that addictive “he chooses her, publicly and without hesitation” energy.
If you love possessive mafia kings, dramatic reveals, and heroines finally being seen and claimed the way they deserve, this one delivers in every way. 🔥📚.

Leah and Viktor's story begins with a hilarious meet-cute and a love of large dogs. It progresses quickly at first into a romantic entanglement. And then it kind of stalls with a mid-first-act breakup. And then quickly reengages in a Bratva romance. There were many twists and turns in the betrayal of some of the main characters. Some were predictable, but others kept you wondering until they were shown. There was some comedic relief throughout, thanks to the supporting characters. The FMC was not my favorite due to some of the typical "I can do all" female mentality. The third-act character atrocities are typical of Mafia books, but I don't want to give away too many spoilers. But she was a great mother, friend, and, eventually, a Bratva wife. The MMC was enjoyable and frustrating at times. His friendship with Iliya was much appreciated, and he was very funny at times. As well as Iliya and Suzie's, Leah's best friend, gives and takes. There was growth with many of the characters, not just the main couple. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable novel, easily read in a day, or possibly one sitting. Happy with the HEA and the extended epilogue. I always like seeing further into the future with characters I enjoy.

This was a decent read, but for me, it was definitely not as good as the first book. I went into it expecting the same level of intensity, excitement, and pull, but I just was not as engaged this time around. It had moments that were interesting, and I still enjoyed parts of the story, but overall, it did not fully hold my attention the way I hoped it would.
One of the biggest issues for me was the main male character. I expected him to have more edge, more presence, and more of that strong, unforgettable energy, especially with a title like Savage King. Instead, he felt a little more boring than I anticipated. He was not terrible, but he did not stand out as much as I wanted him to, and that made the romance feel less exciting for me.
The story itself was okay, but it did not give me the same spark as the first book. I wanted more tension, more emotional connection, and more intensity between the characters. There were parts that worked, but I kept waiting for the story to really grab me, and it never completely did.
Overall, Savage King was not a bad book, but it was not a favorite either. I would still recommend it if you are continuing the series or enjoy this type of romance, but for me, it landed at 3.25 stars because it was good enough to finish, just not as engaging or memorable as I expected.
This meeting? HILARIOUS! Oh my gosh, I would have died. No lies. The idea of the dog taking off and somehow managing to rip the jeans? Is it embarrassing? Abso-friggin-lutely! But it is also one of those moments that is so nuts that it takes that meeting of the handsome stranger who wants to make sure she is ok for no other reason than to make sure she IS ok... and then to ask her on a date. Ugh. Romance novel starter, right there, even if it does take a dark turn.
I am THRILLED with the fact that this one had so much to do with the Bratva. There have been others that have let me down, and man do I not say that lightly. The Bratva is the Bratva. They are a family, who honor loyalty above all else. Love is hard to come by in a place where it is looked at as a weakness, and that's something our MC's have to find out how to work around. Especially considering our FMC is not about to just give in and give up, becoming a possession of the Bratva King.
I will say that I saw the "twist" coming. Too many things adding up, too many reactions. Too much of the "in your face but not" moments to not be able to guess at the whodunit moment. But it also had me yelling at the pages, asking "Why can't you see???" So I'm going to say it was well worth the read, even if I cannot give it a full five stars.
Love Kai Lesy books.... this one is moving to the top of her list as one of my favorites.
Leah was having a day of all days and all she wanted was a cup of coffee. As she was walking her best friends great dane, she stopped to get a cup of coffee when he sees another dog and runs off taking a part of her pants with him. As much as it was humiliating she meets a guy that helps her wrangle in the big dog. He than persist on replacing the ruined pants and takes her for that cup of coffee. After he walks her back to return the dog to her best friends place he asks her out on a date.... and who can say not to that. Little does she know there's more to this guy than a handsome face. Viktor is captivated by Leah when he first sees her. He trys to stay away but he finds that there's no point in fighting when they clearly have so much together.
The dynamic between the two main characters was perfect. Their connection was instant and what a meet cute for a mob boss to find. This story is so much more than what the description gives off. Want a story that will have you laughing but on the edge of your seat... here you go. 🥰🥰.

Savage King is a gripping, high-intensity romance that pulls you straight into a dangerous and captivating world. From the first chapter, the story is packed with tension, power, and undeniable chemistry.
The Bratva king hero is everything the title promises—ruthless, commanding, and fiercely protective. What makes him truly compelling, though, is the depth beneath that hardened exterior. There are moments where his vulnerability shows through, adding layers to his character and making the romance even more powerful.
The heroine is strong in her own right, bringing both fire and emotional depth to the story. The age-gap dynamic adds an extra layer of tension, and the push-and-pull between them keeps things exciting and unpredictable.
The chemistry is intense and electric, balanced with moments of genuine connection that make the relationship feel more than just passion. There’s also a strong sense of danger and suspense woven throughout, which keeps the pacing fast and engaging.
If you love dark mafia romance with dominant alpha heroes, emotional intensity, and a storyline that keeps you hooked until the very end, this is definitely a must-read. I couldn’t put it down!.

✨Summary✨ Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 HEA: Yes, no 3rd act breakup POV: Dual Tropes: Mafia, Age Gap (27/~52), Single Mom, Ex’s Dad, Accidental Pregnancy, Fast Burn
Leah is a single mom to a 7-year-old daughter, doing her best to keep life together. One day while walking her best friends dog, she finds herself in one of the most humiliating moments of her life. Enter Viktor, a sexy silver fox who steps in and immediately shifts everything. The attraction is instant, leading from coffee to dinner to one unforgettable night together. But Viktor isn’t just a random businessman, he’s the head of the Bratva, and he decides she’s safer without him. A month later, Leah discovers she’s pregnant… and that Viktor is her ex’s father. Suddenly, she’s pulled into a dangerous world she never asked for, where her life and her child’s life are constantly at risk.
I loved Leah. Life hasn’t been easy for her, but she’s done everything she can to build a stable life for herself and her daughter. She’s strong without being hardened and doesn’t back down from Viktor when needed. At the same time, she brings a softness into his life that he’s clearly been missing. Viktor has always believed love is a liability and doesn’t belong in his world. But with Leah, that belief starts to crack. He’s protective, intense, and fully in that “burn the world down for her” mindset. Together they make a great team.
Overall, I enjoyed this one. The chemistry, tension, and dynamic between them all worked really well. There were a few inconsistencies, mainly around the pregnancy timeline, that pulled me out of the story at times, but not enough to take away from the overall experience.
I really enjoyed this book. It started off sweet, funny, and engaging, which immediately pulled me into the story. The chemistry between the characters and the lighthearted moments made the beginning especially enjoyable, and it was a quick read that kept me turning the pages.
My only disappointment was that I wished the book had maintained more of that sweet and humorous tone throughout the entire story. As the plot progressed, some of the charm that drew me in at the beginning seemed to fade. However, the author did make an effort to keep some of that balance through the supporting characters, who brought humor and warmth to the story when it was needed. Their interactions helped offset some of the heavier moments and kept the book from feeling too one-dimensional.
Overall, Savage King was an enjoyable and fast-paced read. While I would have loved more of the sweetness and comedy that made the opening so appealing, the cast of supporting characters helped maintain a good balance, and I still had a great time reading it. I’d recommend it to readers looking for a romance with a strong start, entertaining characters, and plenty of drama along the way.
A humiliating public accident leads Leah straight into the path of Viktor, a powerful and dangerous Bratva boss who immediately steps in and changes the course of her life. What begins as an unexpected encounter quickly turns into a possessive and high-stakes romance.
This was such a fun and dramatic read, and I had a lot of fun reading this from start to finish. The opening alone pulls you in instantly, and I really liked how bold and unapologetic the story is about its tropes. Viktor is very much the classic possessive alpha, but I enjoyed how openly he claims Leah and stands by her, especially in those more confrontational moments.
What stood out to me was the mix of humor, drama, and tension. The side characters added a lot of personality, and the plot had enough twists to keep things interesting. At times, the pacing felt a little uneven and some conflicts were resolved quite quickly, but overall it was a very entertaining read. If you like age gap mafia romance with strong protective energy, then read this book!
This book was... okay. It didn't seem to have the drama and intensity I would expect from a mafia/bratva setting, though. Viktor felt pretty tame, for the most part. Sure, he had issues with feeling or showing love, but he also didn't really sell the mob boss angle, either.
After their one night together, he just leaves. A quick note that she will be safer without him, and he is gone. But then later, he didn't really come across as if he wanted more, either, but then is shocked that LEah wants to leave and actually wants more from him than movey and safety.
The betrayal angle just felt a little too obvious. There wasn't much buildup or mystery to it before we find out anything. The fact that Marius was part of it was so foreshadowed, it wasn't a shock at all what was actually going on.
Don't get me wrong, this was a cute story, but I think the vibe here was just off. Either we have a single mom/quirky think going, or bratva. Trying to combine them diluted both sides into this. I won't be reading this one again.

The story kicks off with a chaotic first meeting between Viktor and Leah—complete with a Great Dane, a Cane Corso, and ripped jeans. From that moment on, their connection is instant and their chemistry undeniable.
Leah is pure sunshine and joy, the perfect contrast to Viktor, a hardened Bratva leader raised to believe love is a weakness. Her warmth slowly chips away at his walls, but it’s her daughter Eliza who truly softens his heart. Their growing bond adds a beautiful layer of tenderness to the story.
The author brings the characters to life with vivid energy, pulling you straight into a world full of twists, turns, surprises, and betrayal. Illiya and Susie shine as side characters, adding humor and heart to balance the darker moments.
A gripping, emotional read with strong chemistry and standout character moments.

Never thought I would see it happen. The world of the everyday, hard-working, single mother being engulfed by the head of the Bratva. Not only does it work. He remains in that position and she backs him up. It’s so complicated. You have to read the book. Their love story is so amazing, Victor just never would’ve believed that someone could love him because he feels undeserving of it. He’s a very hard man and he knows it. But then he meets Leah. Leah and her daughter have opened a party of him, He did not know was still there. I cannot say enough good things about this book. You cannot wait to turn the page and keep reading. And there’s another love story to be found which I find so amazing. They have you ever after knocked my socks off. You have to read this book it is so wonderful. If you’re into the Russian mob, and the everyday woman just trying to make her way in the world there’s no way you will not fall in love with this book.
Another great Bratva novel by Kai Lesy - I’m so into these at the moment and this is gripping escapism at its best. It is another exciting read with betrayal, danger and violence at its core.
Viktor and Leah are a delight. Although Viktor shows a loving and tender side towards Leah he is also brutal, unrelenting and merciless to those who try to harm the people he loves. Leah is a hard working, independent single parent, who has backbone and spirit. In the past she has always seemed to make the wrong choices in men.
There is an interesting secondary romance happening between Viktor’s loyal right hand man, Iliya, and Leah’s best friend, Suzie. Eliza, Leah’s sweet and confident daughter and several other colourful characters round out the story; including the two dogs, Athos and Benjamin Maximus Jellybean James (aka Benji).
An extremely enjoyable read with two very satisfying epilogues taking us a few years into the future.
I have not read a Bratva romance before but I have enjoyed Kai Lesy’s reverse harem books so thought I’d give this a try. And I wasn’t disappointed! I devoured this in two days, reading late into the night (and making me slightly useless at work lol).
The FMC is wonderful - sassy, confident, determined - and most definitely not prepared to give up her independence to a Bratva boss who fighting to keep control of his empire while also feeling new/unwanted emotions
Great sexual tension combined with a growing threat of physical violence - loved it all
If this is the start of a series, I can’t wait for the next chapter!.

This one is intense! Leah is a single mom who is having a rough day (her pants are ripped in half on the street) when she meets Viktor. There is instant OTT attraction between them. After a night of wild passion they part ways. They run into each other a couple of months later and Viktor overhears something that changes everything. The characters are very well written, so much so that there were quite a few times I wanted to smack Viktor upside his head and yell at him to wake up! There is pretty much non-stop action. And it is action that makes sense, for the most part. There is plenty of steam. The story is very well written. Kai Lesy is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. 5 stars
This story had a wonderful and amusing start and took off from there.
When Leah met Bratva Pakhan Viktor, it was the worst and best day of her life but she didn't know how life changing it was going to be.
I loved Viktor. He went on a real journey of how he thought his world should be to how it really should be from Leah's perspective. But Leah had to learn to compromise as well.
But these two sure had the chemistry and I enjoyed the friction between them as well.
Loaded with suspense and danger, dualing opinions, secrets and betrayals wrapped in an amazing romance.
So well done. Always a treat and a delight. Can't wait for more.

This is a sweetheart romance with the mafia feels. We have a beautiful single mother Leah out walking her BFF Suzie’s Great Dane as our lead female character. Next we find Benji taking off with her clothing in a park where our lead male character Viktor and his dog Athos come to save and provide cover for Leah. It is quite the opening scene and introduction to our main characters. This is a good romance with Bratva type trappings, so do mind your triggers relating to violence, etc. There are some good supporting characters as well in Eliza, Leah’s daughter, and Suzie, who is Leah’s ride or die bestie. Also, Iliya the security giant protecting Viktor and all that is of importance. Read On!
I really loved the relationship between Viktor and Leah, I enjoyed reading how their relationship grew and formed. I give it a good 4.5 stars, my only qualm was I wished there was a bit more towards the end and seeing what happened to all those who betrayed them and such.
But I’ve always been a sucker for an HEA so I loved it especially with that and even more so the side characters like Leah’s daughter, Eliza and her best-friend, Suzie and the main loyal man Iliya and of course the dogs Athos and the true star who made their love possible, the Great Dane: Benjamin Maximus Jellybean James.
This was a fun and light read for me despite its mob and violent tendencies 😂 so I definitely recommend.

It was ok. I read it but forgot to write my review right after and now as I try to recall what happened I’m kind of stumped. Clearly it wasn’t all too memorable.
Here’s what I recall: One night stand leads to pregnancy. The guy ghosts her for her protection. Months later he over hears a convo where she shares she’s pregnant.
Big mob boss needs an heir so this makes him happy. He secretly has her followed, but all comes to light when a faction of his organization to kidnap her.
He forces her to live with him. Many more attempts at taking her and his unborn heir.
His right hand man almost dies protecting her, her daughter, the best friend, and the unborn heir. Side plot with bestie and right hand man finding love.
Turns out it was the brother and nephew doing evil deeds all along.

In this book we meet Leah & Viktor. Leah is just out walking her best friends great dane when he decides to take off with her pants attached to him. Little did she know that promise would allow her to meet a man she just can't forget. Viktor knows who he is and knows what his life is like and isn't willing to put the one woman he can't forget in danger. The problem is he can't forget her or stay away from her he will do anything for her and her daughter. Can these two find a HEA or will others make sure that never happens?
Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
It was not bad, but definitely could have been better.
The book was difficult to read. Too much inner dialogue and not enough character development. Also, Leah was just a pain. I wanted to throttle her most of the time. I don't know, it's hard to explain. I just couldn't get into this book. First it was barely a dual POV. We had too much Leah and not enough Viktor. Though the author made Viktor so one dimensional that you didn't really need his POV much. I just kept skipping pages. It just could have been so much better. The author was so busy trying to explain everything that she alienated the reader. You just couldn't feel for the main characters or feel a connection with the characters. I'll pass on any other books by this author.
Unable to finish. Reached chapter 16 and have decided nope. And I rarely DNF a book. It didn’t seem to be edited, and was painful to read. If by a quarter way through a book you still don’t have a sense of each character or chemistry between the two… it needs content editing before even considering publishing.
The obgyn, refers to “here’s your little guy”… what kind of professional in this field refers to a foetus as this and then in the next paragraph state the gender of said baby isn’t known.
The constant dialogue with her daughter, friend and inner thoughts, was painful and offered nothing but mere words on a page.
And a Bratva Boss attending a charity for puppies … yeah, I don’t think so.
