I’m gonna go middle of the road with 3 stars.
I really liked this starting off. It’s not horribly written but it’s not the best I’ve read. I love the chemistry between Callum and Aurelie and the intimate scenes were 3.5 out of 5 (in my opinion. Again I’ve read spicier things) but the chemistry was still good.


It became VERY repetitive. Each book followed the same thing basically. I understand that in sports especially co-ed sports that relationships are kinda taboo and I love it! The push and pull was nice until it wasn’t. Like they’re the one for each other and then suddenly someone is pulling away (the repetitiveness) I love how they take care of each other though and how open their communication became as the series continued. I like the idea of having a female in a male dominated sport always cheering for equal.

As someone who used to watch NASCAR but knows NOTHING about the data behind it the way it was written to follow formula 1 lingo or knowledge sounded legit. Either the author knows all about formula 1 or made it sound believable- either way that part was really good. Kinda felt like I was learning something new.

Rooting for Callum and Aurelie and I know it’s an HEA so there’s that. Also…Marco and Kimi? Best mates ever; if you need bros to stand by you that’s the kinda family you want. No questions asked just being there for them.

Overall I enjoyed the book although I DNF’d it at 61% (I powered through the first 3 and stopped somewhere in the 4th) Just felt like it was dragging after a bit.

Absolutely throughly enjoyed this series! I enjoyed each main character and the whole found family trope and the Formula 1 insights and races. I loved the main two characters and their banter. This was definitely a spicy read with quite a bit of it in the last few books and does deal with sensitive subjects so book 5 might be hard and can be skipped. The author gives plenty of warning and insight and also a recap if that one is needed to be skipped due to triggers. So definitely check the triggers.

This dealt with a woman who can race but is subjected to lots of drama in a male dominated sport, this really is a real thing in life still so this fight was perfection and very eye opening and I was there for it all! I would easily recommend this whole series I was intrigued, captivated and couldn’t get enough of it. Would love a bit more on some other characters and things that were happening and some full closure on people who definitely owed apologies and I didn’t get that unfortunately but maybe there’s more to come in the others and these are completely completed. I will be keeping an eye out. And Racing 101 stay to your line!

Consider me a fan of F1 if this is the romantic tension we can get! Callum ans Aurelie have been longing for each other for a long time. But longing for your rival is not a great plan. When they are finally get together, they can’t stop. This is boom 1 and they are happy for now, but there is still some tension to be worked out in the books to come.

When I saw Overdrive was getting its own audio, I was happy. Then when I saw the narrators, I was ecstatic! Kit Swan and Corvin King were the accented voices in my head as I was reading this book in July. I’m a sucker for accents and the audio brought it to life in a way that eyeball reading didn’t.
