“This book had me in an absolute chokehold from beginning to end.”
Blake Smoke really knows how to write characters that get under your skin. Toxic is exactly what the title promises—messy, addictive, emotional, and impossible to look away from.
The chemistry between the main characters is off the charts. Their relationship isn’t perfect (far from it), but that’s what made it feel so gripping. Every chapter had me questioning what would happen next, and I was completely invested in their journey. I loved how flawed the characters were—they made mistakes, they frustrated me, but they also felt real.
The tension was incredible, and the emotional punches landed every single time. I found myself saying, “Just one more chapter,” only to realise I’d read half the book in one sitting. Blake Smoke has a way of balancing angst, romance, and suspense that keeps you hooked until the very last page.
If you’re looking for a romance that’s full of emotional chaos, addictive chemistry, and characters who leave a lasting impression, definitely add this one to your TBR.
