Tammy Falkner lives on a farm in a lovely, sprawling little town in rural NC with her beekeeper husband and a house full of boys, a few dogs, and a cat or two (or five – who has time to count?). As half of the Lydia Dare team, she has co-written ten books, including the Westfield Wolves series and the Gentlemen Vampyre series. A huge fan of Regency England, she often wonders what other kinds of magical, mythical and strange creatures might live and interact within the ton. Exploring the theory that the fae can walk between Regency England and their own land, Tammy spends as much time as possible with the lords and ladies of society, horse-drawn carriages, and elegant balls. Now add to that some faeries, a little murder, a bit of mayhem, and a troublesome garden gnome, and you have her exciting new series. She hopes you enjoys her world as much as she does.

A poignant, sweet and sexy story about faith and family, trust and love that left me giddy and happy.
“That’s what family is for. To pick us up when we fall.”
“Or when we get knocked down.”

Finny, Fin, Finch. The name of a beautiful songbird for a beautiful girl who’s only love is for music. She’s Fallen from Zero’s lead guitarist who writes love songs but has no intentions of finding it because she never sleeps with the same man twice. Can the girl who hides behind her sexuality resist the man that wants to be different from all the rest?

Bejamin “Tag” Taggert, had one objective when he approached his estranged sisters, getting the means to keep his son. He never expected Fin’s prickly sexiness to capture his attention. He thought he was emotionally unavailable. But when he saw the true girl behind the baby hating, nonchalant façade and was helpless against her pull. Can he convince the girl who doesn’t trust, to have faith he’ll catch her?
“Let me value you. Treasure you. Enjoy you. Treat you the way you should be treated. You can trust me, Finny. I won’t let you fall.”

I’ve really liked the transition from reading about the Reed brothers to the motley crew that comprise the Fallen from Zero famous all-girl band. While We Waited is the eight book in Tammy Falkner’s Reed Brothers series, focusing on Finch and Tag. She has her sisters and music. He has his son and faith. The two of them seem to be completely opposite. But beyond the attraction there’s a wealth of emotion these two stir in each other.
“This woman, she fills me up. And she empties me out. And she makes me whole, while taking a piece of me at the same time. I don’t know how to explain it.”

From the beginning I was Tag’s number one cheerleader. I ached for him in his loneliness. When Star, Wren and Tag lost their parents as kids, their one living relative chose to only keep Tag while Wren and Star were put in foster care. Tag was seemingly left in the better of the two situations, but nothing could be further from the truth. He was abused physically and emotionally, left to feel alone, inadequate and underserving of happiness. Until he found his faith and the hope of joy with his son. He just had to be able to keep him first.
“Faith is what’s left in when everything else has been stripped away.”

I met Fin a while back when the Zero girls were first introduced in the series. I knew about her love for her sisters, her adoptive parents and her one-night stands. Even though she’s surrounded by people who care for her now, that wasn’t always the case.

My heart broke for her when I got to know more and together with Tag discovered that for the better part of her childhood she felt hated and unloved. A feeling that stops her from getting close to people. Of course it’s scary to trust and open yourself to possibility of being left with nothing or being left without a safety net to catch you if you fall.

I loved how these to adorable people found each other and flourished together. The steam Tag and Fin generate completely fogged up my eReader, but the sweet, tender care and comfort they provided one another completely filled my heart. Of course they have to learn to trust each other and work through the bumps along the road. I very much enjoyed Tag and Finch’s sweet and sexy push and pull and how with very little drama or angst found their way to their happy.

I loved to hang out with the Fallen From Zero girls and getting to know them a bit more. The sisterly banter was awesome as was having the Reed brothers, their wives and ever increasing progeny popup so I could catch up with my favorite fictional family. Tammy has wonderfully expanded this tight knit group of loveable and funny people.
“I always wondered what kind of man it would take to get to you.”
I scoff. “He hasn’t gotten to me, hooch.”
“Oh, he has totally gotten to you.”

I also have to comment on Emilio and Marta, the girls’ adoptive parents. They want to keep them safe but are also completely awesome when they found a man that will love them completely. Emilio is so protective and sweet, and Marta is so cheekily understanding. It’s awesome!

I smiled and swooned, fanned myself and got misty eyed. I can’t get enough of this series and can’t wait to know who’ll be next. Getting lost and then being found in Tammy Falkner’s books is one of my favorite things to do. Her stories flow easily and she unerringly transmits a gorgeous sense of love and family. While We Waited is no exception.

While We Waited is book #8 in the Reed Brothers series. It can be read as a standalone and has a happy ending.

I love this series! Yet another awesome book.
I push the thoughts of her to the side, because she belongs behind a door labeled Happiness, and that door has been firmly locked to me my whole life. I’ve never been given the key, and I doubt I ever will.
/.../
She settles against me. Our heartbeats collide. I finally have the key to that door labeled Happiness, and it’s standing right there, gaping wide open in front of me.

Well... this was a disappointment.

I love this series.
I seriously LOVE this series. The perfectly imperfect characters and the always captivating plot.
But here... I found the book lacking. Like the plot... this story... it just wasn't what the other books in the series are.

I am so sad to have to give this book a not very good rating but it broke my heart more to be reading this and thinking "what happened?"

Oh my lord.
This book.
Amazing.

"While we Waited" is the story of Finny and Tag. While Tag is the blood brother of Wren and Star who they were separated from in childhood, Finny is one of the adopted Zero sisters.
We know from the ending of the last book that Tag had absconded with Wren's cash, and returned on Star's wedding with a baby.
What we didn't know was he hooked up with serial dater Finny, before he left.
Hence begins the sweet journey of a girl, who is as closed up with commitment as possible, and a guy who starves for it. It was lovely seeing the contrast with female who has only one night stands- and then it's wham bam thank you sir , and a man who's slept with only one female and loves cuddles.
Their chemistry is instantaneous, and how they break each other's barriers and fall in love, while he has Benji- his son and is recently divorced- forms the story. He is religious, and believes in love- while she is filled with the scars of her psychotic mothers past- and runs away from the same.

As usual it's sweet and filled with feels. Really enjoyed this one.

Can't wait for Lark's story.

SWE for me/ unsafe for some

I adore the Reeds and I love TM stories so much.
But, why oh why are the stories so short?..
Everything feels so rush and hurried. A 100 more pages would have make the story much more deeper and way more captivating.

One might think that after reading so many books in the same series that they would get tired of it. However, that is just not true of the Reed Brothers gift. Falkner has an exceptional gift to create unique characters and distinct storylines so that each book does not feel like a copy and paste of the one before it. I loved that Tag was an unconventional hero in that he was not like a Reed. He wasn't tatted from stem to stern and he prayed. Totally wasn't expecting him but I loved him. And Finny...siiiiigh...She was so NOT someone you would every picture Tag with. A smart mouth rocker who loved sex and loved it a lot and would never give her heart to a man. Until Tag and his sweet little baby boy, Benji. Although the sexy times between them were hot, the story was not as intense in the smexy department as some of the other stories had been. Oh...don't get me wrong. That didn't make the story any less potent; however, it definitely fit for Tag and Finch. Tag wanted to show her that he was a man after her heart and not just her body, and he totally won her over in the end. To the point where she stepped up and admitted to loving him and wanting to be a mother to his son. This is one series that just gets better and better.

Fin & Tag

Fin is part of the band Fallen From Zero and was adopted by Marta and Emilio with 4 other girls.

Tag is Wren and Star's biological brother. They were separated when their birth parents died. Tag went with his uncle and Wren and Star were adopted by Emilio and Marta after some hard times in the foster system.

Tag's life was not as great as his sister's think it was. His uncle was not a kind man and Tag felt alone a lot of the time. Tag meet a preacher who changed his life and even married his daughter.

Things did not work out with the 2 of them and she left him to go to college and to be with another man. She also left him with their son to raise on his own.

Tag's sister take him in and forgive him for the past. They love Benjamin and want him to have the best life. Tag and Fin had a one-night stand right before he left to get his son. Fin was not sure if she would ever see him again.

Fin has never really trusted anyone outside of her family to love her. Her birth mother is mentally unstable and used to try to kill her all the time. She opens up to Tag about some of the horrors of her past. Tag and Fin became really good friends and take the relationship to the next level.

Fin falls for Benjamin as well as Tag and she has to place a lot of trust in Tag. Trust she is not sure she has to give and Control that she has never be willing to give to anyone.

Nice, quick story in the series. Helps to link everyone together. I have to say I have been more interested in Lark's past the most and it looks like that will be the next one in the series.

Rating: 2 STARS (due to the shortness of the story)

Happy Reading!

I liked Tag, he was quite charmer, "I lift the edge of her robe and look at her a**. “My handprint is on your a**,” I say. I bend my head and bite it and she stops breathing." I really loved Tag, "I wasn’t holding her,” I toss back. “I was just standing behind her.” Actually, I was sniffing her perfume like a total perv, but I’m not going to tell them that." I liked how gentle and patient he could be, "he brushes hair back from my face. “I’ll give you just about anything you want,” he tells me." I enjoyed this book I loved the Reeds and it's series and I'm happy to see it growing.

I liked this story… didn’t love it, but liked it. I’m a big fan of this series. I’ve loved each of the Reed brothers finding love and now am enjoying reading about Peck and her sisters.

This was Finch and Tag’s story. I think I would have loved the story if Finch and Tag’s story hadn’t felt so rushed.

Well what can I say? This was another feel good Reed Brothers story about love and family and I loved it hard.

From the first book I have been addicted and the Reed brothers have never let me down, when they love, they love hard and there is no bullshit or stupid misunderstandings. There is just real life and a lot of understanding and acceptance.

When they first joined families with the Fallen From Zero Girls I wasn’t sure I would like it. So far the books had been based on each individual brothers but we still got a lot of them all together and kept up with their growing families and I loved being in their bubble. Not that I don’t love Melio and Marta and the girls just I didn’t want to lose any of my time with the brothers.

I shouldn’t have worried though since Sam and Peck got together the families have joined and so we still got a little of the brothers but we also got a few more people to love.

Anyway back to these guys. Well we were briefly introduced to Tag when he showed up on Star and Wren’s doorstep then vanished $50k richer so he really didn’t start off on the best foot and Tammy started this book off by revisiting that time from his point of view and I have to admit for the first few chapters he doesn’t seem to be much better than we think.

But of course Tammy doesn’t write about irredeemable arseholes so we do find out why he is behaving as he is and we learn his secrets and watch him heal the wounds that have been inflicted to Finch. And of course we get his beautiful little baby boy, Benji.

So once again I have finished the book with a happy feeling in my heart and a tiny bit of faith in human kind as a whole and I can’t wait to see the rest of the girls fall in love and add to this crazy family.

If you haven’t yet started this series I honestly can’t think of a better example of a New Adult romance that’s angst and drama free.

Mmmmmmm, Im a bit torn as to what rating to give this.
On one hand I totally love this series, the family, the tragedies they face, and how they cope, the new family they are constantly bringing in, just every thing about these books. On the other hand, I found I was just getting into this story and it finished!, ended!, stopped! as in there was no more to read!
I felt like I was left hanging with an almost HEA.
Don't get me wrong. It was still a beautiful, sexy wonderful read.. it's about the Reeds and their ever increasing family, so it wouldn't be anything but!

Tag is not a Reed, but he has managed to weave his way into the hearts of the family, and one young lady in particular. Finch, is the really independent, loud member of the group, the one who will never let herself fall for a guy..... until Tag walks into her life.
The circumstances of Tag's arrival in the lives of the Reed crowd are not the best, and once he's got what he wants, he takes off, not making a very good impression with certain members of the family. On his return, and after explaining his predicament, he is forgiven and accepted under their wing.

I loved Tag and Finny together, and Benji just completed them perfectly, until I got to the end and found out that woman had been in contact with Tag. Someone make her go away! I don't want her to have a recurring role, there's too much chance she'll fall for one of characters, and she doesn't deserve that. Please please Ms Falkner, send her away.

This is Fin and Tag's story.

Fin is Peck, Lark, Wren and Star's adoptive sister and member of Fallen from Zero. She has a history of one night stands and leaves men pining after her. She never sleeps with the same man twice.

Tag is Wren and Star's biologic brother, but he was the only one that was taken in by their biologic uncle. The sisters may have been resentful of this, but we learn that Tag did not have it easy with their uncle.

This book starts at the same time Good Girl Gone starts - which is at the start of Tag and Fin's story too.

With a new born son, no job and no money, Tag is not in a position to start a relationship, but he can't get that one night with Fin out of his mind.

Fin does not like babies and she doesn't want to become vulnerable to Tag. But yet, she can't get their one night out of her mind either.

I loved watching these two fall in love!! They definitely grow as people throughout the book.

And I love all of the characters - I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Highly recommend!!!

So I had this crazy realization while reading this : The Reed Brothers make this series. I mean I'll take any and all scrap of them you throw my way. But if you only have them make an appearance for like 2 seconds, THAT ISH AIN'T GONNA WIN YOU ANY POINTS WITH ME! Isn't it crazy that I was expecting THE REED BROTHERS IN THEIR OWN SERIES? TOTALLY CRAZY.

Anyway, I didn't like it nearly as much as the rest of the series. I WANT MORE REED BROTHERS, NOT JUST THE SECONDARY CHARACTERS WHO DON'T MAKE THE SERIES.

Hmm this was an interesting story.
Finch is an interesting character and the way she deals with life is by sleeping around. Tag kind of through her for a loop.

I can’t say I like what Tag did but I understand why he did it. I think it is interesting that when these two are together they both let their walls come down.

Both of their pasts effect their now but for the better. They both want to be better than what they grew up with.

I enjoyed their story and I am looking forward to the next book.

The narration is ok, I am finding I like her more and more as the series goes on.

I just can't get enough of this series.  As soon as a new book comes out, I drop everything and read it.  No different with this one, I was just lucky it came out on a nice long holiday weekend so I could squeeze it in!

This is the story of Finch (Fin, Finny), member of the all-girl rock band, Fallen From Zero.  She is the female version of a manwhore!  Haha!  She is not looking for commitment, romance, a boyfriend, loves her one-night stands, never with a guy twice, never thinks about marriage, and definitely does not want any children in her future!

Enter Tag..... Tag is Wren and Star's biological brother.  He was separated from them when they were little, going to his Uncle's to live.  Let me tell you, I was a little nervous at the beginning of this book because I thought Tag was going to be a manipulative a$$hole and take advantages of his sisters.  But, his reasons for doing what he did outweighed all that.  He actually turned out to be a great person, with a great heart, and a lot of faith!  And, he was the perfect solution for Fin!

Tag and Fin have an unexpected one-night stand, and then Tag leaves.  When he returns 2 months later, it is with his infant son.  Ruh roh!!  Fin wanted nothing to do with either of them, but Tag was persistent, and then the band hires him to help on tour.  Haha Fin, there's no escaping him!!  Tag is so patient with Fin, he just made me melt.  And seeing Fin finally let her guard down and connect with Tag's son was heartwarming.  Tag was also a huge support to Fin while she dealt with her mother who suffers from mental illness.

I love these girls of Fallen From Zero.....each has their own story and of course, glimpses of the Reeds' lives always make things great!  Next up, Lark!! The epilogue has me completed intrigued.....Lark gets a tattoo from a new employee, Ryan, who is also completely deaf.  His one rule, he only dates deaf girls!!  Can't wait for that book!

Keep writing Tammy.....I will continue to drop everything for your books!!!

Entonces...

description

God, that's just so wrong.

description

Short book, 3.5-4 stars.

Tag, is the 2 real sisters long lost brother, in the previous book he took a hand out of 50K from Wren and split now he is showing up at his sisters wedding, baby in toe and a need for help and to explain.

Finch is a member of Fallen from Zero and also one of the 5 sisters. She has issues with trust and self worth and uses sex to hide the pain and loneliness, but only one time, no repeats.

When these 2 get thrown together both of their worlds, and their walls, will start to crumble. Tag will show her that he is more than she believes him to be and he will show her that she is worthy of love and caring.

I would of rated this book higher but 120+ pages it just kind of lacked depth. Still a really good read of course, because Ms Faulkner is the Queen of sugary romance and these characters all rock.

While I did love the premise of the story, I felt that the end was really rushed.

I wish that Finny loved Tag way too fast. Not that the isn't a lovable person, he's awesome. It's just I felt that because it was so fast, it felt a little forced.

Nonetheless I loved Tag. To me at least, he was a very different hero than what I'm used to. He's so gentle, and the fact that he's so religious was different from other heroes in other books. I love it.

Hopefully, the whole religion thing won't be a turn off for some readers out there.

Really enjoyed WWW but what stopped me from loving it was the ending was a little rushed. Finch and Tag had a slow burn relationship and I loved watching them grow closer and take down the walls they had built around themselves. I thought the heat level wasn't quite as high as previous books, but the story didn't lack for it because the romance was there. TF is one of my auto buy authors and I can't wait for Lark's story (hopefully with Ryan).
