Steelforged Legacy #5

Tireless Refinement

Rate this book
Life had been a whirlwind of changes for Casey since he accepted the offer of assistance from Loptr Laufeysson, known better by the name of Loki to most. But Casey regretted none of those changes, especially as they lead him to his Maude Sigynsdottir, the youngest child of Loptr and Sigyn. Bonding with that woman led him to his next lover, Rowan Deeproot, an Ironwood Dryad sent to assist him by none other than Earth Mother herself.

At first, Casey had been resistant to accepting Rowan’s advances, but Maude had convinced him that love takes many forms and reminded him of what her memories of a happy family were based her father and the trio of mothers she’d loved growing up.

Now with two lovers at his back, Casey is ready to challenge the world and take power by the throat. Which is going to be key to his survival, as the wicked Fomori are growing more common across the land. Word of entire hordes of the foul beasts has come in, and at the warnings of Earth Mother herself, Casey has to prepare as there is a greater power hunting him.

A power that remembers his steadfast defiance and unwavering heart.

----

Steelforged Legacy is a progression fantasy, men's romance, Western cultivation story that takes heavy inspiration from classic cultivation and combines it with an alternate take on Norse mythology. Even the gods can't always see the future right, and in this world, sometimes even the Fates can make mistakes.

No Doubt the Author is Not Happy With This Book

This book has so much wrong with it. The dialogue falls into the trap of an author showing his audience the characters are talking but having nothing to say or add to the story. The book is very repetitive as well, like the author was asked for x words and this was the easiest way to get there. The audience can easily tell the author is struggling with where to go with this story which is sad. There’s only a couple scenes in the book that move the story forward. Really wish the author would seek help or an editor to help avoid putting out something that’ll disappoint the audience. I have no doubt the author is not happy with this book.

Properly paced cultivation story

The pacing for this series is amazingly good. Slow burn romance added and ridiculously high stakes just complete the package for one hell of a read. I do love that for the current book we have a possible new partner who may not be able to turn into gear so she will definitely be fun to sneak into the clan when he wants to return to base. Still hoping he gets a dragon though, we can always use a dragon/snek LI in this kind of fun story

Absorbing series

Alternate universe, magic, cultivation and ascension, Norse, Celtic, harem adult situations

Casey and his friends get more quests to handle for the Roaring Mountain Clan, meet new people, and share some dangerous secrets. I may be addicted to this author. Excellent editing. Moah plz!

Wonderful series

Outstanding story with good world building, characters who grow and develop as well. Daring Do and a consistent structure, it calls back to the hero's journey in all the great stories.
I highly recommend this series!

Another great entry

Tress puts out winner after winner. I just want to read more of the worlds. I particularly like how slowed down this series is on the lover front. They feel earned! Looking forward to the next book

Secrets

Book 5 answered a few questions and brought a few more. As is usually the case, it’s going to be a hard wait for 6. Also, World Wiggler. Needed my inhaler after that one.

Awesome series

A lot of series start to get stale, this continues to be fast paced, and the characters keep developing which is refreshing. I’m looking forward to the next book.
