'No Kisses for the Neighbor Next Door' was entertaining. Its amusing plot was filled with an awkward first impression, a dog named Sinatra that was the comic relief, a firefighter next-door neighbor, pairing up for a committee meeting, a major rejection, a dog and owner dress-up competition, a fire department demonstration, feigning mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, a floral display, a battle reenactment, a flour mill factory fire, another rejection, picking out flowers and a sweet hand-written note, saying goodbye, a job offer, and falling in love.
Moreover, Molly and Cam, the protagonists, hemmed and hawed while trying to reach their HEA. Yet, they were made for each other and gushed with chemistry. Overall, I liked the heartwarming narrative.

This is a CLEAN romance without really any romance at all.

The dialogue isn't the greatest, but it's not unreadable.

Molly and Cam are neighbors for two months while Cam is visiting Molly's small town for two months to cover at the fire station for his friend who is on paternity leave.

They have a meet-cute and the next day he rents the house next door to her, partly because he's attracted to her. Or as we are repeatedly told, he thinks she's pretty.

They end up on the same social committee working on a project together causing them to work together a little bit.

They never date. They never hang out except when working on the project.

There's an annoying dog and depressing neighbor dog owner who are supposed to be quirky and funny but completely miss the mark.

About 85% through, Cam's time is up and he heads back to the city, but as he's leaving he decides, without any flirting or anything else going on between he and Molly, that he's head over heels in love with her. At this point he's held her hand once and has NOT EVEN KISSED HER.

Next thing you know he's taking back his temp job because his new-dad friend decided to quit, and moving back to the small town to be with Molly, whom he still hasn't kissed.

He declares his feelings, they FINALLY kiss, and go on a date, and a week later they're engaged.

And there's still no flirting, no hint of a spark between them, no reason the reader can find for why they actually think they belong together.

There's clean, closed door romance and then there's TOO clean, non-romance that's incorrectly labeled. This is the latter.

The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because the writing wasn't terrible.

I'd skip this one unless you are about ten years old. It might work for you then.

No Kisses for the Neighbor Next Door is the fourth book in the Sweet Spring Kisses series. This is a multi-author series, with each book able to be enjoyed as a standalone or in any order.

This was a super quick and sweet read! Cam and Molly had an unconventional meeting, but they hit it off quickly... the problem? He is only there temporarily and has no plans to stay in a small town. Their meet cute was definitely fun... it was awkward and cute and had me smiling right from the start and looking forward to what was to come in their story. Though the attraction is there right away, this was definitely a bit of a slower burn... though because it was a shorter read, it really didn't feel too slow! I loved the fair planning and how easily these two connected. Perhaps my favorite character was not even a human character at all though! Sinatra-- another neighbor's rambunctious dog-- certainly added a lot of humor and fun to the story that I absolutely adored. This was definitely a fun read. I hadn't read anything by this author before, but definitely look forward to seeing more from her in the future!

Overall this was a good read. I think Molly and Cam are both great main characters. The minor characters in the town were also enjoyable, especially Ernie and his dog Sinatra. I loved that Molly worked in a library. The way the dual point of view chapters were formatted it was a bit confusing, especially at first. You would read about something happening from Molly’s perspective and then more stuff and then in the next chapter it would be in Cams but it would rewound to before the event happened. I think it should have alternated views within the same chapter or maybe even been in third person.

This was a quick read that is part of a multi-author series but each can be read as a stand-alone. Cam is new to a small town helping out a buddy covering paternity leave. Cam meets Molly (local librarian) in a comical moment on his first day. Their relationship goes through some ups and downs but ends in a HEA! I was intrigued by the unique take of this dual point of view book. Everyone should check it out!

Molly is the local librarian in her small town, she loves her job, she loves all the different displays for different events throughout the year. Her life is quiet, uneventful but she loves the quiet life, until on the way home she notices a fire in the local car lot. When the firefighters arrive Cam cant see any fire so he rings the woman who called it in thinking it's a hoax. Not the perfect meet cute but this is the start of events that keep putting Cam and Molly together. But the problem is Cam is only there as a temporary cover for maternity leave. Will he choose to stay, will Molly see him as anything more than a neighbour and perpetual singleton. The characters are charming but I really think that Sinatra is the main attraction. This is an easy to read book that you really don't want to miss

This was truly a fun book to read. Cam is a charmer who’s not really sure he ever wants a long term relationship while Molly is someone I’d like to meet for a cup of coffee and conversation. It was an adventure for Cam and Molly to find their was to a HEA.

This series has been fun to read and although each author wrote in their own style and brought their own voice, the series was consistent, but offered a different perspective in finding love in a small town when you least expect it.
Francesca presents a book that I adored from start to finish. Molly and Cam were perfection on paper from the moment they met. Molly is a strong woman, independent, and the an integral part of her small town. Cam is from the city, covering for a friend, but plans on returning as soon as he can. They know their time is limited, but getting to know each other can't be helped. Will they realize that love does come with limits or home is where your heart is?

Molly and Cam—she’s a small town librarian and he’s a substitute fire chief when his best friend takes leave for his son’s birth. Molly and Cam live next door to each other and work on the town’s spring fair together. And then he leaves to return to his regular job. He doesn’t fit in at his old job and the fire chief resigns so he returns to the small town for her. I didn’t buy their relationship at all; it didn’t feel realistic at all. The writing is stilted and doesn’t flow well. I’m not at all inclined to read any more of this writer’s work and I don’t say that lightly.

This book was sweet, funny, and heart-warming. From Sinatra’s antics to Lydia’s not-so-sneaky scheming, this book was full of delightful moments, including one of the most adorable meet-cutes ever in literary history.

If you are looking for a book with lovable characters, scenes that make you laugh, and an ending that leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside - this book is for you.

Molly Ryan works as a librarian at Oak River Public Library and enjoys her quiet life surrounded by books, friends, and the comfort of her small town. Everything changes when she meets newcomer firefighter Cam Whickham during an unexpected incident, and she is instantly drawn to him. The only problem is that Cam makes it clear he is not a fan of small-town living and does not plan to stay for long. Still, the two spend more time together while helping organize the local fair, and their connection slowly grows. But when it is finally time for Cam to leave, Molly must wonder if their story is coming to an end before it truly begins.

This was such an easy and enjoyable read. The plot is simple but comforting, making it perfect for readers looking for a light and cozy romance. The story is written in straightforward, accessible English, which makes it flow quickly. The romance is completely clean, with no more than a kiss, and the emotional connection develops gradually throughout the story.

One of the highlights for me was Molly’s neighbor’s dog, who constantly caused entertaining chaos and stole every scene like a furry little tornado in sneakers. I also loved seeing how caring Molly was toward the people around her, especially her neighbor. Even though Molly and Cam were clearly attracted to each other from the beginning, the romance blooms more in the final chapters, which made the ending feel extra sweet. My favorite part of the book was definitely the local fair scenes, which added so much warmth and community spirit to the story.

If you enjoy clean small-town romances filled with cozy moments, community events, and slow-burn chemistry, this book might be perfect for you.

Molly is the small town of Oak River's local librarian and Cam is the new firefighter there on a temporary assignment. Their meet cute was a very unconventional one but really sweet and comical. But no matter how attracted they are to one another on that first meeting, they keep telling themselves there's no sense getting too attached because Cam just won't be there long enough to start a real relationship. He's a big city boy & this small town just isn't what he wants. They might not believe there's anything worth pursuing but fate has a different idea. When all the stars align perfectly forcing them to work together on a local project, they can't deny the chemistry & their feelings any longer. Maybe...just maybe...they can work this out after all.

I thought this was a cute story. Not only do you get to witness Molly and Cam's relationship as it struggles to develop, the side characters bring so much to the story as well. Lydia is the perfect best friend pushing for the obvious love match while Ernie the older neighbor down the street with his rambunctious show stealing dog Sinatra provides comic relief on several occasions.

I really wanted to love this one but in all honesty, the story just didn't flow well enough for me. The word choices were off at times, it seemed really slow at one point & then rushed and choppy at others. I loved the premise! Just a little disappointed in the execution is all.

Molly the librarian meets Cam the firefighter. Their meet-cute was unconventional and utterly endearing. Awkwardness blended seamlessly with attraction, leaving me grinning from ear to ear. From the very start, I rooted for Molly and Cam, hoping they’d overcome their obstacles and find a way to be together.

🐾 Sinatra, the troublemaker dog, stole the show. 🐶 His antics injected humor and warmth, making him an unexpected favorite. And then there was the slow burn—the chemistry between Molly and Cam simmered beneath the surface. Their denial of their feelings added delicious tension to the story. As the pages turned, I felt the heat building, and the anticipation was worth every moment.

Lydia, one of the side characters, was an absolute gem. Her quirky personality and unwavering support for Molly and Cam added depth to the narrative. And let’s not forget the heartwarming conclusion—home isn’t a place; it’s your soulmate. 🏡❤️ This novel left me with a warm heart and a craving for more cozy romances.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review....and I honestly enjoyed it. Thinking about it, I am not entirely certain what trope I would say it fits, but the closest one would be enemies to lovers. It is more of a neither party wants to admit an attraction rather than they are truly enemies.

The MMC is a firefighter and they meet when she calls to report a fire. Then he ends up renting the house next to her. It is a sweet, slow burn story with some interesting supporting characters. The nieghbor's dog was quite the character and provided some comedy relief.

Both main characters were genuinely good people who definitely had a spark between them, but neither was ready to really act upon it because the MMC would be leaving soon and for awhile it seems that all will be lost. It made me smile and it made me wonder why people can be so stubborn sometimes. I think you will enjoy it.

Sweet Clean Romance with a dog named Sinatra

This was such a cute, clean and wholesome romance story.
I loved Sinatra (the dog) and his shenanigans around town and with the towns people. Ernie is one of those few neighbors that you would love to have in your neighborhood because they are always watching and protecting everyone. He was such a sweet old guy. I loved his character.

Cam and Molly are so adorable, skating around the truth that they were so madly in love with each other. They planned a festival together, which I thought was awesome. The dog and owner costume contest was adorable. I don't think that has been done at any festival I have been to.

The mention and details of flowers throughout was amazing. It's like you can just picture all of them. Even the festival.

All together I would recommend this if you love a good clean rom-com story.

This is a fun romcom. It is no secret that Cam and Molly are going to end up together, the question is how much pain they will go through before they get there. The author brings romance, a hot firefighter, a quiet smart librarian, a meet cute, humor, match minded best friends and a few surprises. This was a fun read and I enjoyed it.

The story alternates between the perspectives of the two main characters, and while the character switches are clearly labeled, the shifts in time (sometimes just by a few days or weeks) can be a bit confusing at times. That said, it's still an enjoyable and sweet romance overall!
