Today is her wedding day, what should be the happiest day of her life. Unfortunately it's not.
As Mikki and her family prepare for her stroll down the aisle to become Byron's wife, she spends most of the day reminiscing over the past 15 years she spent as Meeko's girl.
Torn between the temptations of her past and the allure of her future, Mikki spends her day on an up and down rollercoaster of emotions, praying that her walk down the aisle doesn't lead to biggest mistake of her life.
These love birds are something else and I hate the way Meeko treats Mikki... Hopefully if there is a part 2 Mikki finally finds the strength to let Meeko Go and marry Byron cus Meeko is one selfish bastard and he'll never change smh!!!
This was a really good book. The on and off with the two main characters was a bit much, but it all tied into the story well. I felt all of Mikki's pain and at one point I wanted to jump in the book and give her some common sense. I cannot wait to read the rest of the story. The downfall is the "funky" writing style of the book. The author writes a little different so you'll have to adapt to the way it's written, but it didn't take from the story. Also another negative are the grammatical errors. At one point the character names were changed from page to page, but I still knew who she was talking about. Great job K. Sherrie and hurry up with the next book.
This is my first read by K Sherrie & I will definitely be reading more! Meeko is Mikki love of a lifetime which is evident in all the trials & tribulations that she goes through for & with him. I was upset with her father regarding his reaction to everything. I loved that her situation allowed her mom to clean about her past to someone that could understand. Meeko was a complex character that wanted to have his cake, her cake & everybody else's too! K Sherrie gave us a glimpse of book 2 but when this one ended I wasn't ready! BRAVO!
I would recommend the read. I love the story. I feel like it was respective a bit.. You'd say the same thing four or five different ways through out the book.. Sometimes in the same paragraph. We won't start with the spelling and grammar. Does no one proof read prior to releasing the books?? Plural because I've read four of K Sherrie's books and ALL of them have this issue. I like the realness in the stories you tell. That's what keeps me reading.
This was more for my daughter than me, because it taps on a lot of what I tell her not to fall for from this dudes in the street i would definitely read more from this author
