Sunshine demon meets antisocial star-chaser destined to go insane… What could possibly go wrong?

Foras 'Ro' Cromwell is a demon who yearns to be a good person, hence the reason he’s currently in therapy. Unfortunately, his demonic urges include setting dumpsters on fire when he’s overwhelmed, stealing items that have no relevance to him, and a surprising new stalking.

He's only interested in stalking one person, though. The elusive woman with shimmering silver hair.

Alorra Seren is a star-chaser. A dangerous truth she planned on taking to her grave, if only she didn’t excel at making terrible decisions. She's as prickly as she is mysterious, and Ro wants nothing more than to uncover all of her secrets.

When Lor is blackmailed by people who want to use her for her abilities, Ro takes matters into his own fiery hands, landing himself in a heap of trouble. Now Lor has to decide between risking it all to save him, or protecting her secrets to save herself.

Sparks fly in this banter-filled paranormal romcom featuring a black cat FMC and golden retriever MMC, idiots to lovers, and bi4bi love in a queer-normative world. Mental health concerns and generational trauma play a significant role in this novel, and although there are emotional moments, it is overall light-hearted and fun with no third act breakup.

this book is lowkey chaotic but like… in a fun way

ro is an absolute menace (affectionate) and her whole “not stalking” thing had me laughing the entire time 😭 meanwhile alorra is all guarded and serious so their dynamic is very sunshine x grumpy and it WORKS

the vibes are silly but there’s actually some emotional depth in there which i didn’t expect

only downside is it felt a bit rushed in places, like i wanted more time with certain moments

overall: weird, funny, kinda unhinged, but also cute?? i had a good time

*4.6 / 5 star!!!
Lor and Ro truly captured my heart while I was reading this! A mean mugging star-chaser meets a demon in therapy, and sparks seem to fly when they’re near each other.

This was such a fun paranormal romance! I will also be reading book 1 in the series to get my fill now that I’ve finished.

Please, if you like golden retriever MMC’s and black cat FMC’s you gotta read this.

“Starfire, I would sell myself to hell to keep you safe. I’d burn
down the world for you.”

Stalking Not Required, the second book in Corina Bair’s Chaotic Paranormals series, is a fun, light read with a sunshiney fire demon MMC and an FMC who’s still figuring herself out amidst what she considers a curse—her life as a starchaser who can’t resist the compulsion to chase down the magical fallen remains of her ancestors.

Honestly, stalking never looked so good! Ro is obsessed and so down bad for Lor and the fact that he has such a sunshine and rainbows persona kind of make the stalking cute in a messed up kind of way, but I love it! I also enjoy that they’re both Bisexual. As a Bi girly myself, I was giggling and kickin’ my feet while reading.

Their banter was hilarious and fit the characters completely and the spicy scenes, were so creative, especially later in the book. I do wish there was some more closure when it came to the big, bad boss man and Lor’s mother. I was honestly waiting for wrap-ups on those two things, but hopefully we can get it later on in this series.

If you like queer MC’s that have witty and hilarious banter and one of them is an absolutely obsessed fire demon that follows the FMC’s every move and is down bad for her - I highly recommend Stalking Not Required. Thank you to Corina for giving me an ARC, I greatly appreciatie it!

Stalking Not Required is a chaotic, heartfelt paranormal romcom that somehow balances absurd humor with genuine emotional depth. Ro Cromwell is an instantly memorable MMC. A sunshine demon in therapy who is trying very hard not to set things on fire, literally and emotionally. His voice brings a lot of the humor, but also surprising vulnerability.
Alorra Seren is a strong counterpart. Guarded, sharp, and deeply independent, she carries the weight of her secret life as a star chaser with believable caution. Their dynamic clicks quickly, with a black cat and golden retriever energy that fuels both the banter and the emotional growth.
The stalking premise walks a fine line, but the story leans into self awareness and humor in a way that keeps it from feeling uncomfortable. Instead, it becomes part of Ro’s struggle with impulse and control, which ties nicely into the broader mental health themes.
The plot is fast paced and entertaining, though at times it feels slightly chaotic, especially in the middle. Still, the stakes around Alorra’s secret and the external conflict add enough tension to keep things grounded.
The lack of a third act breakup is refreshing, and the relationship development feels consistent and satisfying. Overall, this is a fun, quirky read with strong character work and a lot of heart.

Funny, sweet and fuelled by banter and wit.

this was a really fun and enjoyable demon meets star chaser in hiding book. The humor shone through and made for an enjoyable reading experience. Watching the chaos unfold and the characters learn to open up and trust each other made for a wonderful time reading!

I read this one in one sitting and recommend for anyone wanting chaotic neutral to chaotic evil characters 🫶

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stalking -Not- Required was chaotic, hilarious, unhinged, weirdly wholesome, and somehow one of the most entertaining paranormal romances I’ve read in a long time. This book felt like tossing gasoline onto a romcom and then watching it explode into sparks, banter, obsession, and emotional damage 🔥😌

Ro completely stole the show for me. A fire demon in therapy trying very hard to control his impulses… except one of those impulses happens to be stalking the silver-haired woman who walked into his bar one night? Immediate perfection. He’s chaotic sunshine energy wrapped in red flags and emotional vulnerability, and I loved every second of it. The fact that he’s fully aware that his behavior is insane somehow made it even funnier.

And Lor? Absolute black cat queen. She’s guarded, grumpy, independent, and carrying so much loneliness beneath the surface that watching Ro slowly bulldoze his way into her life was both hilarious and surprisingly emotional. Their dynamic worked SO well. The banter was sharp, the chemistry was ridiculous, and the tension had me kicking my feet like a Victorian woman seeing an ankle for the first time.

What really surprised me was how much heart this story had underneath all the chaos. Yes, it’s funny. Yes, Ro is deeply unwell in the most lovable way possible. But there’s also genuine emotional depth about healing, trust, self-worth, and finding someone who chooses you fully despite all your messiness.

Also… Khalo the cat deserves a paycheck and probably his own fan club.

I loved the paranormal elements and the queer normative worldbuilding, and the romance balanced perfectly with the plot for me. The pacing kept me hooked the entire time, and I honestly didn’t want the story to end. Ro and Lor together are pure disaster energy in the best possible way.

If you love:
🔥 black cat x golden retriever dynamics
🔥 he falls first and HARD
🔥 chaotic obsessive MMCs
🔥 paranormal romance with humor and heart
🔥 banter-heavy relationships
🔥 “touch her and die” energy
🔥 emotionally damaged people finding comfort in each other

…then this book needs to be on your TBR immediately.

I requested the arc, because bi4bi black cat/golden retriever sounds right up my alley, and cmon, he wears nail polish and eyeliner in MF, how rare is that? Meanwhile she's a black-clad goth girl, why not. And the cover is gorgeous. Sadly, this was not for me.

It hit one of my biggest pet peeves of romance novels: the totally contrived plot convenience of insta-obsession (idk if I can call it "insta-love" here). He sees her once from behind and immediately his "inner demon" is obsessed about her and tells him to stalk her. She comes into the bar he works in, and suddenly BOTH of them lose any interest in other people, even though both of them were into casual hookups before, they only have attraction for one another now, even before they exchanged any words.

At least this time the author didn't claim it wasn't insta-love, the marketing mentioned non-malicious stalking and "he falls first, fast and hard", but okay I didn't expect it to be basically instantaneously without any prompt or reason, I expected more build up.

I really need a romance to convince me why the leads are falling for each other, not just tell me they are as a pre-established axiom. But time and time again I stumble upon romances where they just know it's "the one" from the first sight (hello, Something Wicked). That's like reading a mystery novel and knowing who the culprit is from the start. Not what I'm counting on.

But if you enjoy insta-love romances, this book might be just your jam.

I seriously need to lay off requesting self-published romances, because they never seem to be what I expected them to be.

The inner monologues of the characters were also fairly repetitive. Dnf at chapter 6 (19%).

Thank you Netgalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and Corina Bair for the ARC.

Ro is a demon. Specifically a fire demon. He is also a bartender, in therapy to control his demon urges and the bounciest person alive. Lor is a star chaser, drawn towards the sites of fallen stars and cursed to go mad. She is also incredibly grumpy and afraid to let anyone get too close. That is until she walks into the bar where Ro works and he becomes just the teeniest bit obsessed with making her his. So obsessed in fact, he starts stalking her. Not very discretley. Determined not to fall for Ros charms, Lor resigns herself to his permanent presence and as she starts to learn more about him, this demon shaped ball of sunshine gradually worms his way into her heart.
This is one of my most favourite paranormal romances I’ve ever read! Ro is just absolute chaos personified and his joy is the perfect tonic for surly Lor. Their banter is perfection, and the addition of Khalo the cat just amplifies their fun dynamic. There is a bit of spice in this and its very well done. Sometimes the romance aspect overtakes the plot, but it very much compliments the story here and doesn’t detract from the plot. The only reason I’ve not rated this 5 stars is that I did find that it rushed towards the ending a tiny bit and there were some aspects I’d have liked filling out a bit more. Stalking Not Required is book 2 of the Chaotic Paranormls series, and I haven’t read book 1 but this definitely works as a complete standalone and I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything having not read it. The ending was everything you hope for and it leaves just enough scope for us to see these characters again. I will 100% be going back to read book one and will be looking forward to future books from this author.

Black cat 🐈‍⬛ 🤝 🦮 golden retriever because YES PUUUULEASEEEE! 🥵🥵🥵🥵 also, fire?! I AM A PYROMANIAC so I absolutely just devoured every single part whenever fire was mentioned 🤪 I love how the chapters are more than just one words, they're actually setting you up for the chapter itself, which again, I LOVED!

Ro is major swoon, as is Alorra and together they are literallllllly the cake and the whipped cream with the cherries 🍒 on top! Ro has that wittiness to him that goes perfect with Lor! They learn to love and heal together, which I always love in romances, especially because that happens so much in real life too.

"You good, Starfire?" 🥵✨🔥

"Whatever it is, I'll be forever grateful that my demon followed his instincts to stalk me." 😈

I will start out by saying that I was given an ARC copy to read and am giving my own opinion.
After reading the first book in the series, Love (Literally) Bites, I was super excited to read the sequel and it did not disappoint! Stalking-Not-Required is set in the same world as Love (Literally) Bites, but it’s a stand alone sequel, so you do not need to read the first book to understand what is going on (though I absolutely recommend that you go and read it because it’s an amazing book).
Ro (the MMC) is the definition of a golden retriever character, but don’t let his friendly personality fool you, because he will rob you blind and set your stuff on fire when you aren’t looking! Lor (the FMC), on the other hand, is the perfect black cat to contrast Ro: she just wants to be left alone in peace for five minutes. When they meet at the beginning of the book, it was absolutely interesting to see how different they are and the contrast between the two. However, as the book progressed, it became very easy to tell that the two are perfect for each other in way that I can’t even describe.
One of my favorite parts of the story was watching Ro go about through daily life because he is, essentially, the real life version of the meme of Elmo with flames in the background. He keeps everyone guessing and is always up to something, making it absolutely hilarious to see what all he gets into!
I absolutely loved this book and would absolutely recommend it, especially if you love black cat x golden retriever, MMCs who are chaos gremlins, slightly darker paranormal romance, and general mayhem!
Thank you so much to Carina Bair and her team for letting me read the book! I loved it and appreciate the opportunity!

I received an ARC.

I recently completed reading Stalking Not Required, book two in The Chaotic Paranormals book series by Corina Bair. This is surprisingly a novel that doesn't exactly have a catalyst for change. Instead, it's more about the growth of two people learning to love, learning to heal, learning to be who they are.

This novel is set in Chicago, where Lorr, a Starchaser, has been blackmailed by a mobster to collect stardust. This is essentially the remnants of her people. Stardust is a black market drug, so to speak, that enhances paranormal monsters' abilities, or it's downright a drug, but pretty meaningless for humans.

Ro is a fire demon and the spawn of s*x demons. He was upset he didn't inherit that side of his parents, but I'd differ with the way Ro throws down. He begins stalking Lorr after she walks into his bar, and he can't get her out of his mind.

The novel follows the two of them and their relationship, how Lorr navigates her trauma from her mother and the generational trauma handed down from her grandmother. It also follows Ro in his own journey of self-acceptance, but also being able to look at the other sides of himself. What I loved the most about this novel was how ultimately Ro permits Lorr, she didn't even know she was asking for, to grow as a person, to accept herself for who she is, and to accept the gifts that were handed down to her from her ancestors.

There's a lot of s*x in this book, and it's healing through that. My only minor critique is that I wish there were a bit more verbal exploring of healing for Lorr, but at its heart, this is a solid entry as the next book in the series.

Overall, you will enjoy getting to learn more about Ro and Lorr, the random dumpster fires, a cat that adopted Lorr and an easter egg!

💫 “I can smile for the both of us until she’s ready to let hers shine.” 💫

Stalking Not Required, the second book in Corina Bair’s Chaotic Paranormals series, is a fun, light read with a sunshiney fire demon MMC and an FMC who’s still figuring herself out amidst what she considers a curse—her life as a starchaser who can’t resist the compulsion to chase down the magical fallen remains of her ancestors. I loved the first book in the series, Love (Literally) Bites, and was so excited to hop back into this paranormal world she's created and read the second one!

I really enjoyed the romance in this story. Lor and Ro are both great characters, and together they're exactly what the other one needs. Their banter was so enjoyable, and the spicy scenes were amazing as always!

I do wish we got a little bit more closure surrounding the whole Big Bad Boss Man situation.

If you enjoy romances set in a queer-normative world where the MMC is down BAD for her, and the FMC is a badass who’s battling her own insecurities under the surface (all with a dash of paranormal magic of course!), Stalking Not Required is the book for you!

A demon in therapy meets a star chaser - and sparks fly. Read about it in Stalking Not Required!

Ro is trying really hard to be a good demon. He goes to therapy to help with his urges to burn or steal things, and it’s working…mostly. Then he sees a woman with hair the colour of starlight - and his demon has a new obsession.

The women in Lor’s family are cursed - compelled to chase falling stars and collect the valuable dust, while descending into madness. To make matters worse, she is being blackmailed to supply increasingly larger amounts of stardust.

She finds freedom at the local bar where she can dance - but the bartender Ro is oddly obsessed with her. In fact, he’s started stalking her…and he is adorably terrible at it. When these opposites attract, there’s chaos ahead for sure.

I loved this. It’s a black cat/golden retriever paranormal romance that tackles some big issues. Set in a queernormative world, both characters are openly bi (even though they wind up in an MF relationship). It is funny, cheeky, sexy and endearing all at the same time.

Ro and Lor’s romance is a slow-ish burn. The spice moves a lot faster, and is *completely* open door - or, you know, wherever they happen to be at the time. It deals with generational trauma, absent parents, blackmail, pyromania and kleptomania.

This is book two in a series but reads just fine as a standalone. If you want a paranormal romance with some delightfully quirky characters and fast motorbikes, do not go past Stalking Not Required.

4.75 ⭐️s!!! (Goodreads can we PLEASE get half stars or something 🙄🙄)

Corina writes the best, cozy paranormal rom-coms with a touch of chaos and the BEST characters. She weaves the perfect, fast paced and fun stories that keep you reading -- even when you should go to bed!!
The ONLY reason SNR was not 5 stars, was because I didn't love it quite as much as book one in this series. (Raya and Ash just have my heart forever, okay? I'm sorry.🙃🙃) But don't let that .25 of a star mess with you-- this is a MUST read for PNR lovers.

Ro is a chaotic fire demon, and Lor is a surely star chaser.... match made in heaven, right? I LOVED their banter, her grumpiness and his insistence. I adored his silly obsessivness and cannot get over him stalking her, thinking he was amazing at it, and actually being horrible at it. He was fun, and vulnerable and just an all around different MMC than we usually read in these sorts of books!
Lor was never truly bitchy - just lonely and scared of her future. I love how Ro melted down her walls she erected in NO TIME.
Also I LOVE KHALO. The perfect animal companion for our friends.
AND THE ENDING WAS PERFECT

If you love a quick, easy to love story with all the banter, quips and quirks -- this book is for you!

Golden retriever xx black cat vibes
harmless chaotic stalking
cozy rom-com vibes

Thank you to the author for the ARC of this book. All of these thoughts are my own and I truly loved this story, and I know you all will too!!

this book??? yeah… stalking has never looked this chaotic and this romantic 😌🔥📚

I went in expecting unhinged behavior and got OBSESSION, banter that had me giggling like an idiot, and a man who absolutely does not understand boundaries but will ruin his entire life for her without hesitation. The tension is feral, the chemistry is filthy, and somehow… you’re rooting for the chaos the whole time 🫠

Ro is out here fighting his inner demons (and losing) while Alora is making catastrophically bad decisions, and together?? they are a PROBLEM in the best way.

✨ tropes you’re getting:
-he falls first and harder 😩
-chaotic stalker MMC (but make it romantic???) 👀
- sunshine demon x antisocial star-chaser ☀️🌙
- black cat x golden retriever energy 🖤🐕
-“touch her and die” vibes 🔪
-banter heavy romance 🗣️
-“I can fix her” but absolutely cannot 😭
-emotionally unwell but devoted MMC 🫠
-queer normative world 🌈

📖 read this if you:
-like your men a little unhinged and VERY obsessed
-want chaos with actual emotional depth sneaking up on you
-live for “he should not be here… but I’m not mad about it” energy
-need tension, pining, and bad decisions
-love paranormal romcoms that still hit you in the chest
-think red flags are just festive decorations 🚩✨
-want a man who will choose her every single time, no hesitation

consider this your warning… and your next obsession 😌🔥

Stalking -not- Required is a cozy paranormal romcom with banter that will have you laughing the entire time. The pacing is just right and the story kept me fully engaged from start to finish. I genuinely had such a fun time reading this!

This story takes place in a world where love is love and everyone is free to be their true self. The open and accepting, queer-normative setting the author created felt like the perfect place to escape to!

I found Lor to be incredibly relatable. I loved her standoffish attitude and all-black clothing aesthetic, but even more, I loved watching her grow as she slowly started to let Ro in. Their chemistry worked so well despite them being complete opposites… and the fact that he lacks certain boundaries.

It was all so chaotic but in the absolute best way!

This was such a fun, chaotic paranormal romcom with a premise I couldn’t resist. A sunshine demon MMC and a morally gray, disaster-prone FMC? Yes please.

Ro is the ultimate golden retriever energy… if that golden retriever occasionally sets things on fire and accidentally stalks you. His therapy journey and genuine desire to be better made him really endearing. And Alorra? A black cat queen with secrets, questionable decision-making, and just enough vulnerability to make you root for her.

The banter absolutely delivered. Their dynamic was playful, weird, and surprisingly sweet, and I loved the queer-normative world and the lack of a third act breakup. It kept things refreshing and low-angst while still touching on deeper themes like mental health and generational trauma.

That said, it did feel a bit slow and repetitive in places, especially in the middle. Some scenes and internal thoughts circled the same ideas a few times, which pulled me out of the momentum a bit.

Overall though, I had a great time with this one. It’s quirky, lighthearted, and packed with personality. If you love paranormal romcoms with chaotic energy, strong banter, and lovable disaster characters, this is definitely worth the read.

*I received an earc of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Ro is a sunshine-y fire demon fighting his impulses and trying to be good person. Lor is a star-chaser in a tough spot who is determined not to form attachments because of the fate she believes awaits her as she gets older. Ro is immediately obsessed and determined to win Lor over, even it it means indulging his demonic side a little and stalking her (to figure her out and keep her safe in his mind).

Corina has done it again, the first book in the Chaotic Paranormals series, Love (Literally) Bites was a favorite earlier this year so this was definitely highly anticipated by me and it did not disappoint. I loved both Ro and Lor (to be fair it's hard not to love Ro and his golden retriever tendencies). Though Ro is working on himself and trying to be a good person despite being a fire demon, Lor is beautifully complex and really grows the most over the story. Her concerns and the walls she has up regarding relationships and emotions are understandable, and it's such a journey to see her working on them as she gets closer to Ro and he gets behind those walls.

Beautifully told, full of humor, a smattering of danger and plenty of spice, it's a fantastic read.

Thank you to Corina Bair for the early digital copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

My rating for this book is 3.5/5

Stalking-not-required follows Lor, a black cat anti social star chaser and Ro, a way too sunshiny demon (but we love him for it) who's working on himself to stop his stalking-kleptomaniac and pyromaniac tendencies..
One night, Ro sees Lor enter the bar he works at and is immediately obsessed with her. He then starts *following* her (aka stalking but we're trying to be polite here), both him and his inner demon want to be as close as possible to Lor, even if at first she doesn't know about it, and is not the biggest fan of being stalked.

However, this story is pretty fast paced, both in the plot and in the evolution of their relationship. So they get past this first phase soon enough and then first get told know each other as friends and then as clearly more than friends. They have great chemistry and their banter was really funny at times.

I liked how obsessed he was with her and how ready they both were to literally do ANYTHING for each other by the end.

Overall a fun quick and fast paced spicy read that you should pick up if you're :looking for a good time without having to use too much brain (we all need books like that)

“Starfire,” I whisper, cupping her cheek. “I would sell myself to hell to keep you safe. I’d burn down the world for you.”

OH MY GOD! This is one of the best grumpy x sunshine books I have read. The banter was top notch and Ro was sooo cute, such a golden retriever. I loved the way their relationship evolved to help both of them heal 🥹🥹 I thought there was some good mental health representation for both characters. And of course my favorite side character was their cat, Kahlo. I also thought the world building was pretty cool, with some interesting magic systems. I am really loving star based magic recently, so I thought Lor's star chasing magic was so so cool! And the way demons were portrayed was very unique! I always love a bi4bi romance too. That spice though...SO HOT 🔥🔥 Fire play was a first for me, but I absolutely loved it. And there was a bit of primal play and a whole lot of dirty talk and praising. Absolutely delicious hehe We also got a peek into the previous couple from book one, which I have not read but now I might have to 👀👀

Thank you Corina Bair for the opportunity to read this ARC. All opinions are honest, and I am leaving a review voluntarily.

Stalking Not Required grabbed my attention with the stunning front cover artwork. It's phenomenal and had me eager to see who this new-to-me author was. Stalking Not Required is a clever, funny, and hugely original story by Corina Bair. Just a heads up that this is the second book in the Chaotic Paranormal Series, but personally, starting here was fine.

Ro tries hard to be good, but fighting the demon within him is a constant battle. One he doesn’t always win. Still, he grabs the attention of Lor because she can’t get rid of him. When he gets dragged into her troubles, he doesn’t think twice. Lor is caught between the feelings of someone caring and the fear of letting down the walls she is safe behind.

The banter is key in making this story as good as it is. Built up with instant chemistry between Ro and Lor, it’s impossible not to chuckle along as these two fumble their way through life.
Stalking Not Required is a fast-paced, fun paranormal romance with all the inclusivity. Make sure you check it out.

I received an ARC via NetGalley and am leaving a voluntary review.

[𝘼𝙍𝘾 𝙍𝙀𝙑𝙄𝙀𝙒] – 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙉𝙚𝙩𝙂𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙥𝙮

This was… slightly underwhelming ): I had such high expectations for this book, especially given the paranormal romance tag. The characters were fun and the story was relatively easy to follow, yet I felt like everything was… shallow, almost. Every time the book gave me something and claimed to shoot for the stars, it would just fall short immediately after.

The smut was great. It was addicting, well-written and interesting in the way it was described, so that’s a plus, but I started getting upset when I realized that the moments I was looking forward to were the smutty ones, not the ones where their relationship deepens, or when the plot enters a new event.

Although it is a very fast read, and one that can definitely be fun, I felt like it dragged on a bit and it just didn’t hit the way I wanted it to– and trust me, I wanted it to hit BADLY because I wanted to love this book.

That being said, it’s a modern take on demons and other supernatural beings (the star-chasers), one that should definitely be considered an entry point into the genre.

I received an advanced review copy (ARC) of this book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Corina Bair has delivered an amazing motorcycle romance that I couldn't put down! This story follows Lor, a "grumpy star chaser" FMC, and Ro, a "demon with a sunshine personality" MMC who falls first and incredibly hard for her. The contrast between their personalities creates a crazy tension that shows through the entire book.

The storytelling is exceptionally well-developed, and I loved how the relationship between Lor and Ro unfolded. Two things you definitely need to look out for:

1) The Beach Scene: The moment on Lake Michigan was incredibly steamy and easily one of the most atmospheric scenes in the book.

2) Chapter 25: This was my absolute favorite chapter! It’s one of their steamiest moments and—oh my god—I cannot even put it into words.

If you love the "he falls first" trope mixed with the grit of a motorcycle setting, you definitely need to add Stalking Not Required to your TBR. It’s a beautiful, high-heat journey that I highly recommend!

"Precious, vulnerable, strong.
I'm in awe of her"

I was graciously given the opportunity to read this rom-com paranormal romance (don't know what else to call a demon/star chaser book, but that seems fitting) as an ARC reader and can't I say that this book did not disappoint.

☠️Touch her and die by hell fire (literally)
🐕😈Golden Retriever Demon
😒💫Closed off Starcasher
🌶🌶🌶🌶
Both ride 🏍
Not truly enemies to lovers but annoyance to lovers.

The MMC is SOOOOO golden Retriever coded 🤣. Didn't know a demon could be one and also, since when does a demon go to therapy to not be so "demon-ish" but it works. A demon who turns a new leaf.

FMC who is so closed off. Who made a bad business deal that is consuming her life. A paranormal being who is only 1 of a few left with her abilities, but will she go insane like her mother and grand mother?

The way the author was able to portray that personalities of each persona was very well done. I could see the book play like a movie in my head. .

Absolutely enjoyed this one. This book is out now 🩷

[ 🦢 My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 6/5 Stars !! ]

My Review:

This book was absolutely chaotic in the best way possible. I absolutely adored Ro and Lor SO much!!

I couldn’t put the book down and even found myself reading it while I was supposed to be doing homework and focusing on classes.

The sheer chaos from Ro had me giggling, but he also had me being like “awe he’s so sweet”. I loooooved Lor’s character sooo much. She’s just like me fr and I love her for that.

One thing that I absolutely adored was the bisexual representation! It was so nice to see it in a book where both the mc and li are bi! 🫶🏻

The story itself was so fun and a quick read! (Well, for me at least haha). I loved it so much and I will definitely recommend it to others!

If you like:
- idiots to lovers
- golden retriever sunshine demon mmc
- black cat fmc
- bi4bi romance
- unreliable narrators
- spicy

Then you should definitely check it out!

Thank you to Corina Bair for the ARC of this book!

Stalking Not Required is Book 2 in the Chaotic Paranormals series. Our MMC Ro is a demon in therapy trying to be a better person. Can you imagine a demon golden retriever? Here he is! The FMC Lor is a star chaser afraid of getting to close to anyone because she’s just waiting for the madness to set in, and honestly, she’s tied up with some shady characters. Ro’s efforts to be better get a little derailed when he becomes obsessed with Lor, and finds himself backsliding into stalking and setting things on fire. But he’s so adorable about his efforts to bargain with Lor and stalk her - maybe the therapy is working.

This story gets off to a bit of a slow start, but hang in there because the HEA is well worth the wait. If you love cozy, low tension beginnings with a side of toasty spice, this is absolutely the book for you!!

4.5 stars. This book was adorable. Extreme golden retriever/black cat dynamics but both MCs are unapologetically themselves. It was fun, it was flirty, and there was no 3rd act conflict! The queer atmosphere was so refreshing and I loved the character descriptions.

I'm not sure if it is because this is not the first book in the series, but there was no explanation of the magic system at all. There were enough context clues to figure it out, but I needed more background or world building for this to be a standalone.

I loved knowing that there was no stupid breakup in the plot, so I really got to enjoy Lor and Ro exploring their relationship without worrying about what action would be the catalyst. Since time wasn't wasted with a conflict, the emotional buildup felt like the perfect pace to be fast but still believable.

Thank you to NetGalley and Corina Bair for the free eARC.

Thank you NetGalley, Victory Editing and Corina Bair for the e-arc!

Campy!

I do think Ro stalking Lor was glazed over too quickly LOL.
Like how did she just accept that? Completely normalized? Even liked it?
Though it was considerably different than stalking in a certain two word name book that begins with H and ends with E. I knew what I was getting into, but this is the first time I’ve seen stalking as wholesome and framed in a way that is beneficial to both parties.

That was somehow the most fantastical part of the book.

Ro is also a fashion TRAVESTY but I was brave and tried not to think about it.
This was teeth-rottingly sweet, egregiously soft and true to the author’s bio—did feel like a hug. I don’t typically enjoy insta-love BUT I do LOVE a good he falls first AND harder.

𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 𝒄𝒐𝒑𝒚 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑵𝒆𝒕𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒚

This book, while held my attention in many parts, just did not 100% do it for me. I adored Lor and Ro and their individual storylines for their past and who they are and of course their chemistry from the very beginning.

Stalking Not Required is a solid 3.5 stars for me for overall rating. My main pet peeve with this book is how quickly Ro was “obsessed” with Lor and deciding to stalk her just from seeing her from behind. I also got very annoyed by the amount of times Ro considered his “demon” separate from him even though he has—on multi occasions—called himself a demon.

I did, in fact, enjoy this book for the main story plot. The spicy scenes were fantastic up until the last one for me. Other than that this read was super fun and easy to read and get sucked into for a one sitting read!
