I don't read NA like this ever because I am a awkward turtle and it makes me feel uncomfortable, but A.M. Wallace was sweet enough to give me an E-book copy of her debut novel. So I decided to give it a read. I don't regret reading it at all. The story line of this book was surprisingly really enjoyable. I liked the writing as if the characters were actually holding a conversation with you and speaking all their thoughts. It was in both Hannah and Marcus's POV. Depending on the chapters. The two friends have been secretly in love with each other since they met. I was rooting for them the whole time to finally just live happily ever after, but what kinda story would that be right? Of course there was some action. They both think that the other doesn't return the feelings in return, that they just want to be best friends forever. So they never bring it up and just hold the feelings to themselves. Hannah tries desperately to get her best friend Marcus off of her mind so she pretty much rushes into a relationship. Right from the start of that, I felt like this guy was bad news. Marcus wants to do the same, but he isn't as desperate as Hannah. But there is a new girl at work that he really likes...Will their lives stay the same or will they be torn apart?
The conclusion of this book is a definite cliffhanger and it makes you want the second one asap.
I recommend this book to people that love NA especially and people who love, romance and relationship reads. Anyone could give this book a try though and probably enjoy it.
