The All-Fight month issues. It's just a bunch of fights so if that's your thing you'll enjoy this. I found it boring.

This is what I wanted. These are the fights that happened between issue 2 and 3 of the DC KO. When you call something KO. You better have thd fights and they better deliver.

I like the best 2 out of 3 falls format of each fight. For falls 2 (and 3 if needed) each fighter can choose a future of passed version of themselves. Got to say the Harley vs Zatanna and the Red Hood vs the Joker were the stand out fights for me. The Red Hood vs Joker was the rightful main event. I did not particularly like the artwork of the Wonder Woman Vs Lobo however I do understand why it was done like that as it would gave looked a bit too brutal.

This is a great look at the fighters and the ongoing trouble at the Watch Tower. I think fights really did deliver and filled in so of the blanks of the main story. The book finishes with a variant cover gallery.

Overall this wasn't terrible. Most of the fights were fine. The fight with everyone in the Quantum Quorum did help smooth and tie everything together a bit. It's a nice additional trade to read after the main one. Just plain fun with all the fights and fanservice of their incarnations duking it out. The real standouts are Superman v Captain Atom because it's the most impactful with it even getting referenced in the event's main issues. The rest of the review is just for individual issues.
Superman v Captain Atom was pretty solid. Captain Atom has had some spotlight recently but I don't really care for him yet. But the fight was solid. I'm glad it advances the plot and Clark's development. Once again Clark has to resist the siren call of the Omega Energy lest he go crazed like Captain Atom. By the end it's larger than life and a bit out there but like the event itself handles it fine enough.
Aquaman v Hawkman - This was Aquaman issue 13. Guess who wins lol. I sometimes wonder if I should keep Adams’ Aquaman in my TBR or not but this made it clear it slaps and I should get to reading it. The fights were nice, if a bit quick and simple. It's a battle of two men who are both, by the end, imbued with godlike power. It's a bit over the top but this whole event is. Aquaman and Hawkman's dynamic is really strong here.
Wonder Woman v Lobo - A bit sillier and less intense but still fine. This and Hawkman has me confused how important these issues are to the character development because Hawkman is now given God-like power and Lobo apparently has lost his healing ability by the end of the issue?
Cyborg v Swamp Thing - I've listened to an… embarrassing amount of interviews with John Layman for a Titans I haven't found exactly groundbreaking. So I have some odd insight into this. Layman really had it hard trying to wrap up his run early (he had some cooler stuff planned he should've done earlier imo) so this juggles wrapping up the emotional found family of the Titans with regular DC KO fights. It does so well and does well especially in this trade hinting at the consequences of the Heart of Apokalips growing on Earth. Props to the artist Pete Woods as well who does great here. Nothing really plastic oddness like I felt in the past. He's also the one who did all the research on the impressive spread of countless Cyborg forms (and likely the same for the equally awesome Swamp Thing one). It does kinda end weak but the thematics are good. This definitely feels like a tie-in issue but in the best way possible juggling the series storyline and the events storyline.
Zatanna v Harley Quinn - I came in a bit scared. Harley Quinn can get a bit goofy and off the wall depending on the writer and I was curious how it'd be handled here. It turned out fine. It definitely had softer gloves on than the others ones which is a shame. Let the girls really kill each other too. I think the execution of this fight is a bit odd with Harley doing all this to build up Zatanna and them doing the fight with such little magic. It's a shame because the artist is so great. Zatanna's got the whole “can you live up to your Dad” deal here which I've always disliked. I mean, she's a Justice Leaguer. I cant say you cant have her struggle with having important friends and family outshine her but c'mon. Zatanna also has crazy rage in this but from reading the other issues she doesn't do anything of note. It could've been nice to have this raged-out Zatanna but she does nothing really past this issue.
Flash v Green Lantern - Geez that Impulse thing was convoluted. Proper noun after proper noun. I can't imagine how complicated that DC KO trade of Flash is. The fight itself was fine but nothing standout.
Lex Luthor v Etrigan - Hayden Sherman as usual knocks it out of the park in the art and paneling department. Has DC got exclusive rights to him yet? They should. Even for Sherman the art and paneling is on another level. The story and battle itself was just ok. It felt very Joshua Williamson in an event. He does what’s expected and it's fine. All the unique qualities of this one in particular story-wise are well within safe limits and it plays into the larger event and its plot beats nicely. If there's one thing about Joshua Williamson is good at, it’s creating a stable event.
Red Hood v Joker - Yeah this one wasn't it for me. It felt awkward with so many times I thought “Oh they died” only for them to somehow still be kicking. The ending with the heart machine was kinda dumb too imo. But this was mostly to develop Red Hood especially with the Teen Titans book he'll be on soon as a character distanced a bit more from Batman mythos.

There were several writers and artists for this, all who were given different circumstances and pairings, so of course this ended up being a mixed bag. Some fights I thought were surprisingly good, some were okay, and some were genuinely flaming piles of bullshit.

If you don't want to read all eight issues, here's a brief list of recommendations:

Superman vs. Captain Atom; I thought this made a good although not great attempt at exploring superman, but this event is really a Superman event at heart, so I think this is the most relevant if you're reading this as a part of the larger DC K.O. event

Titans #30 (Cyborg vs. Swamp Thing); I thought this fight was probably the best of the lot. Cyborg and Swamp Thing is a great pairing just thematically, and I thought this issue was very heartfelt and true to the heroic spirits of both characters.

Superman #33 (Lex vs. The Demon); This issue provided some interesting insight into Lex's character. The fight felt evenly matched and well paced, and I appreciated that this issue didn't use the character's personal histories (which in this case really doesn't exist) as a substitute for good writing.

Everything else was either predictable, boring, attempted nothing interesting with the characters, or were just downright bad.

I will note, this is all purely based on how good I think the writing for the characters are and how well the context of the fight to explore or develop said characters are. If you just want the best, most intense fights, you should probably find a different list.

DC KO All-Fight, or DC KO Issues 3.1-3.whatever, collects an entire round of the DC KO tournament which probably should have been thrown in with the main title, but I already groused about that over in my review for the main book.

These issues are split between issues of ongoing titles, which are usually written and drawn by the usual creative teams for those books, and one-shots for characters that don't currently have books of their own, which are a bit more hit and miss. The overall effect is what you'd expect - each issue is dedicated to two characters beating each other up to see who advances to the next round, with a few more cerebral battles and a few more IMA PUNCH YOU kinda fights too; it's a good mix of stuff.

Not going to reinvent the wheel, but, like the main title, does what it says it's going to do.

Una basura absoluta en la cual vemos a súpers pegarse y ya está. No hay apenas una chispa de ingenio, ni trama, ni siquiera un buen dibujo. Se salvan de la quema (levemente) el episodio de Flash en el que se enfrentan Jay Garrick y Guy Gardner, aunque la resolución carezca completamente de sentido, y el de Lex contra Etrigan, que sí que tiene algo de fuste, sobre todo por mostrar lo ingenioso que puede llegar a ser Luthor. Lo demás: realmente asqueroso, dinero tirado, aunque hay que reconocer que la trama de Darkseid contra el Trampero Temporal, Grodd y compañía, avanza, por lo que si uno no se lee este excremento, presumiblemente se perderá algo de la trama del evento, que, por otra parte, tampoco es gran cosa...

I really like the idea and execution of this tie-in, especially in an era where a lot of tie-ins are boring and uninspired. I'm glad this exists, and the peak of it is a lot of fun. The stand-out issues for me are Red Hood vs. Joker, Superman vs. Captain Atom, and Jay Garrick vs. Guy Gardner.

The premise that these characters get to pick a version of themselves to fight with is almost pulled out of a video game, and the randomness (albeit not very random) of the arenas chosen adds another exciting factor to this. There is no hiding that it is fun to watch your favourite characters fight to the death, and this book provides that.

Where it falls short is that the rest of the stories felt weaker than I had hoped, or simply weren't very interesting.

entertaining but it does also demonstrate why powerscaling and "who would win?" fights in comics can be a bit pointless because there have been so many iterations and varient forms for some of these characters that you can basically pick one that's wiped out universes (looking at you Monarch) for or become an avatar of a universal constant or something for most of them. I did enjoy the Joker vs Red Hood grudgematch though, even if the ending was a bit of a cop-out.

What starts out as fun begins to grow predictable with one fight being so poorly telegraphed that I had to read the mainline KO book to even realize that I misunderstood who even won a certain fight. As hyped as this was, I am disappointed. I did quit enjoy the Wonder Woman vs. Lobo issue though.

These fights will be hit or miss for you, depending on the book's creative team and characters. I enjoyed some (Lobo vs. Wonder Woman and Superman vs. Captain Atom being my favorites) but there's not much in the way of depth here.
