Worlds Apart

Rate this book
If we Humans have so many problems getting on with each other, then how much more of a culture clash would there be with an alien civilization? This conflict forms the backdrop to the journey of the Earth exploration star ship Vaktpost and it's crew of five. First contact may very rapidly deteriorate into possible 'last contact' unless they can find a way to extricate themselves from a dangerous situation, and discover common ground with the aliens.

Friends

A heartwarming adventure involving people of two different plants. Mutual respect and trust guide these very different species through adventures fraught with danger and political and religious subterfuge. But with the ethical values and understanding exhibited by the crew and the aliens, a fast friendship evolves and the future becomes bright.

Entertained

Much of the plot twists dealt with the aliens being of a single sex. And another piece to this was the humans being the advanced race. A decent read with a minimum number of textual errors.

Easy read

Kind of simplistic reading, but I loved the development of characters professional and private lives in the constricted spaces that where described. Giving the computer a more human like demeanour was refreshing.
