Such courage
An excellent read and homage to, as the Americans put it, The Greatest Generation. It was good to read of the brave pilots but also the author gives high credit to the mechanics who looked after the aircraft and obviously by extension those who flew them. Worthy of 10 stars.

Captivating!
John Golley puts you in the cockpit and squadron life as he saw as a Typhoon pilot during heady days before and after D-Day operating from England initially and then therefore just behind the lines of advancing troops from expeditionary rudimentary airfields. Best action of the rocket Typhoons I have ever read.

well written book about amazing men and a beast of a plane
Very enjoyable book. A history well written about one of the toughest plantations fly ground attack ,the pilots ages , so young ,so capable
