This story was mesmerizing. It drew you in from page one and never let go! It combines the supernatural with modern society seamlessly in a unique twist on the fated mates trope.

The FMC and MMC are both flawed and broken by systems designed to control. Their lives built on fears and ignorance of an outdated culture that is using them to control the narrative.

As children, Evie and Cassian were bound by design before they could understand and driven apart by forces who feared their connection. When they are drawn together by circumstance and fate years later, something ignites that no one in the Onsidian Court saw coming.

I went through a rollercoaster of emotions reading this. I went from heartbreak, anger, happiness, sadness, frustration, fear, joy, and contentment. Just when I thought everything was wrapping up. BOOM! I was blindsided. I got hit by a bus stepping off the curb. I need to jump into book 2 ASAP because WOW!

The characters drove the storyline and they were very compelling and complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. All in all a great start to the trilogy and I look forward to more from this world. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Definitely a captivating dark romance. Evie and Cassian were born into a secret society/cult-type system, bound together before they could understand the meaning of such a bond. Even though they are separated at that time, their chemistry upon meeting years later is explosive - and their bond could mean trouble for the society that brought them together.

I found the supernatural element really intriguing here, and their connection was so emotional. I can't wait to read book 2!

This was an absolutely mind blowingly amazing story. Cassian and Evie were amazing characters. The world building was phenomenal. The depth and description of this suit was so good. I was pulled in from the first chapter and devoured this one. There was no putting this down until I was finished. And now I have to wait for the second one…I’ll definitely be waiting. This was worth it.
