When a woman is found raped and murdered in her home, Criminal Investigator Cage Foster believes she is a victim of a serial rapist who is stalking Adams County. But why did the woman’s attacker dial 911?

Medical examiner Summer Jordan also believes the rapes are related, but Cage’s boss disagrees and sends him after a known petty criminal in the county’s African-American community, fueling racial tensions.

Ignoring her order could mean career suicide, but Cage doesn’t have time for office politics or petty grudges. The Night Terror has already chosen his next victim.

Will Cage be able to figure out the attacker’s next move in time, or will another woman meet the same terrible fate?

Detective Cage Foster is working a case where a woman was brutally raped and beaten. The strange thing about the case is whoever did the crime also called 911. Cage thinks this crime was perpetrated by the same person who committed a similar rape a few weeks ago. That victim died. Cage's boss thinks otherwise and wants him to follow up on a suspect he doesn't believe is responsible for these crimes. Cage along with Medical Examiner Summer Jordan, believe they have a serial rapist in the area. Cage risks alienating himself from the other investigators as he works the case.

Even though this was only 102 pages, I felt like it could have been turned into a full-sized book. This police procedural seemed to hit all the right notes. I was impressed with how Cage discovered the identity of the killer. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

There's a serial rapist on the loose but the victims aren't fitting into traditional patterns. It's a reflection of changing demographics and attitudes of the younger generations. But, Criminal Investigator Cage Foster is up against a police department in an adjacent county and they're not motivated to pursue their case.

The procedural's the thing in this story, with Cage doing some excellent investigative work in a not-so-friendly environment. Territorial and racial issues abound within law enforcement and the community, creating even more obstacles. The story is well paced and I liked learning more about the new medical examiner and the politics of her appointment.

Another excellent story in the series that manages to skillfully weave a number of social themes with the mystery and suspense elements. I read it in one sitting because I didn't want to put the book down.

(I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review)

With two women brutally attacked Investigator Cage Foster has his hands full. He knows they are linked but no one seems to want to believe him and the one person who has always had his back seems to want to prove him wrong this time.
Cage must wade through the evidence and tread lightly on this one because it could turn explosive!
Once again I was drawn into the story with Stacy's writing style. Cage is such a fascinating and lovable character and his concern for his town and the people who live there can truly be felt as you read through this fast paced book.
Can't wait to read more!

Cage Foster is working on a rape case, well actually two that seem to be connected. One is a black woman who was killed and the other a white woman who was badly injured. Cage will work day and night to figure out how these cases are related and put a stop to this person doing it again. He will keep his town safe.
This book is very hard to put down because I had to find out what would happen next. As like Stacy's other books it has twists and turns and a surprise ending. I loved the book and look forward to Cage's next adventure.

Night Terror

I've read so many of Mrs. Green's books that I feel like a broken record because they all have been awes, amazing, perched on the edge of your seat page turners.

Excellent

Really enjoyed the slow build, and of course, they got the bad guy in the end. Good length for an afternoon or two.

I have taken a shine to our hero, Cage Foster. He seems to be pretty ready for racial prejudice to take a hike out of his town and into oblivion....couldn't we all use that! He uses his instincts as a trained cop and listens to his gut feelings. He is the kind of cop we'd love to have on our side when it comes to a serious accusation.

Of course, novellas are short, read fast and cut directly to the chase. This was no different. It was very well plotted, flowed smoothly and provided a nice tidy mystery with all the key elements necessary to bring satisfaction to the reader. My natural mystery solving abilities had pretty much established the "who dun it" in this story, but it was an enjoyable read, nonetheless!

I would highly recommend this to mystery buffs everywhere.

Cage Foster returns. Investigator Foster is called to the scene of a rape. The m.o. is similar to an earlier rape with a few exceptions. One of the victims lives and the other one dies, one victim is black and one f the victims is white. Is this a serial rapist? What is the connection between the two women? There are several problems with this case. First this is a Mississippi town and though it is the 21st century there are still prejudices Do you round up the likely suspects and close the case? Or do you investigate even when it means making some people upset? Another great crime drama from Stacy Green.

This is the 3rd book in the Delta Detectives series.

Cage Foster has a serial rapist on the loose in this one. There is some racial prejudice from the police department that is handling one of the crimes. He needs to be objective to find out who the true suspect is. Also, his wife Dani, has been on bed rest due to pre-eclampsia in her pregnancy. Another fast paced page turner.
