Oh I was so excited to see book 10 come out, as I have loved all of this series. I love this one too. Hoping that you will continue the series as I don't feel like it should be over yet.
Wow! Do I ever love these books! When I preordered this one, I was expecting it to be the last one in the series. After finishing, I’m pretty sure it is not. Knowing THE book on which this series is based on, it cannot yet be complete. And I am here for it too. I will be sad to see it end, yet I know I will be happy with the ending. I’m telling you, the accuracy with which this author puts into these books is amazing. Also, with current true world events, it is both scary and exciting. Now I will have to try to patiently await the next in series. I am excited for it already. For those needing to know… 1. Yes. These are clean reads. No profanity. No gore. No sexual descriptions. (But not boring!) 2. Yes, they are Bible based. Yes, scripture is quoted. Yes, salvation is discussed. No, it is not pushed upon you (the reader), nor the characters in the story. 3. Yes, even if you are not a Christian, I believe you can enjoy reading these books while living in the real world as we know it currently. Please do. So in case you couldn’t tell, I most certainly do recommend this book. Really the whole series, as they are better read in order. They are told basically from four points of view. There is Sierra, a young collage age woman living on a rural island in Alaska. Austin, a young man who moved to Alaska to commune only with God and live life as a hermit. Then there is Mao Wu Ying, a Chinese man who is a Major General that faces many life changing challenges and must come to terms with them. Also, Marina Petrovna Orlova, a Russian woman who finds herself thrust into a position of power soon after becoming a widow. Each person’s story leads to other secondary characters that are all equally relevant to the storyline. Much like real life, we are never going through life alone. Please give these books a try.
I have totally enjoyed this series. The Author has the type of writing skill that keeps you constantly interested. I liked the way each character was presented which kept you always wondering what would happen next. The Christian aspect was well represented throughout. I always end up looking the verses used, in my bible to explore each chapter more. Thank you Jamie for a wonderful book and wonderful series. And as always looking forward to your next book. I could hardly wait for this last book to come out.I wish it had been a little bit longer but it was not. I was hooked with the 1st book and could not put them down.
I don't want it to end, hoping there are more stories in the future. I enjoy every book Jamie Lee Grey has written. Faith based, clearly giving God the glory. I highly recommend this series .
It has been awhile between the 9th issue and this one, but there was no problem picking up where the previous one left off. This volume is the best one yet but doesn't get to the final end point. Jamie Lee Grey has kept to the Biblical account with the added details of her fictional characters to flesh out the story line. With her sequence of the major players/countries, she has kept it fascinating and attention grabbing. I normally don't read multi volume series until all the volumes are out so I don't have to wait for the next installment. This was the exception because the author kept them coming fast enough to keep the storyline going. She even left it where she could add another volume or more if she decides to. Unlike most ebooks, there were very few typos or errors on words that detract from the story. For this I am grateful as I have read several print books with so many errors that it destroyed the books and made them a chore to read, even to the point of mixing up characters on the author's part. Jamie is meticulous in getting things correct down to the smallest detail which makes her books a joy to read. GET A COPY AND READ THESE BOOKS. YOU WILL BE BLESSED, ENLIGHTENED, and RELAXED.
I have been reading Jamie’s books for some time now. She is an excellent writer and has an incredible approach to Christian topics and vision into possible futures. This #10 in Mystery Babylon has been a much anticipated finale.
This whole series shows how much research she’s conducted to build the scenarios of the American, Russian, Chinese, and Israeli cultures and politics. The characters in each of the areas are well-developed and believable, and the struggles of the main characters in the Alaskan island are realistic and believable.
It’s hard to admit that in the last few chapters of #10, I was brought to near tears as some events came to pass. I wasn’t sure Jamie was going to wrap things up, but the ending was well done.
If you haven’t read any of Jamie’s books or series, I strongly recommend that you do. You will thank me for pointing you in this direction!
Jesus is our Refuge, we must rest in Him. Jamie weaves this theme all through the story. I got swept up in each chapter, whether in Alaska, Russia, or Jerusalem, I could not stop reading. Getting caught up in how each person felt, dealing with their faith or lack of, then remembering to trust and call upon God thru Jesus to get answers or seeing how He works in our lives. Can't wait for another installment. jrb
I always enjoy Mrs. Grey's work. She has a way of creating characters and an atmosphere that makes you feel like they're people you know and you're experiencing their trials and tribulations with them. I really enjoyed this series and would highly recommend it!!!
The Mystery Babylon series is one of my favorite end times stories. Grey has a masterful way of writing, weaving the 3 sets of lives together in a way that shifts effortlessly as you turn the page. Her use of scripture as well as biblical truths is a welcome setting.
All through the series, Jamie stays true to her characters. Its wonderful to walk this journey with them and I'm committed to do just that until the very end. Thank you for your clean, interesting books. Write on!!
Jamie has continued the characters into book 10 and it is filled with wonderful scenes from the end times. Some have accepted the Lord and that brings such “Joy”.
A very intriguing story, incorporating well developed characters and strong biblical foundations. Definitely a must read for the days we are living in today.
I really enjoyed the adventure of the Characters, and as always, the author leaves you to wanting more. Also, the question of "what if?" Inthese circumstances, how would I handle things, adventure am I ready?
Absolutely gripping … loved it. Jamie Lee Grey is a wonderful and faithful storyteller. Highly recommended - a great and thoughtful series with excellent character development.
Ten books in, and the story continues! Thanks Jamie! My wife just reread all ten books after finishing The Refuge to remind herself of everything that has transpired. I may have to do the same thing!
This book was a nice conclusion to an interesting series. Throughout the series I learned a lot from the Bible studies shared by the three Chinese characters.
This is an amazing series. I have enjoyed every book and the characters. It's getting even more interesting as the characters move into another phase of living in the end time.
