Just before his first heat, Prince Gillam is bound to marry a man notorious for his cruelty. Rather than submit, he runs. Now, lost in the forest and with wolves approaching, he’s too weak to fight. When a dark monster comes flying through the night and carries him away in its giant claws, he believes death has taken him.
Instead, he wakes up in a warm bed, a handsome stranger taking care of his every need. But who is Fergus? What is Fergus?
The novella My Treasure is a paranormal MM omegaverse fairytale, mpreg, HEA.
Queer fiction author Roe Horvat was born in the former Czechoslovakia. Equipped with a dark sense of sarcasm and a penchant for Czech beer, Roe traveled Europe and finally settled in Sweden. He came out as transgender in 2017 and has been fabulous since. He loves Jane Austen, Douglas Adams, bad action movies, stand-up comedy, pale ale, and daiquiri, with equal passion. When not hiding in the studio doing graphics, he can be found trolling cafés in Gothenburg, writing, and people-watching.
Prince Gillam flees an arranged marriage to a cruel man just before his first heat, only to collapse in the forest with wolves closing in. Instead of dying, he’s swept away by a terrifying winged creature. When he wakes, he finds himself safe, warm, and being tenderly cared for by a handsome stranger named Fergus — leaving Gillam to wonder not just who rescued him, but what he’s been taken by.
This novella had an intriguing premise, but ultimately it left me disappointed. The relationship between Gillam and Fergus felt too high‑level, with very little emotional depth or genuine connection shown on the page. Almost everything between them was attributed to the mating bond or Gillam’s heat, which made their dynamic feel more like circumstance than choice. I wanted to feel the tenderness, fear, wonder, or longing that should come with a rescue and a growing bond, but those emotions never really materialised. Without that development, the story felt rushed and lacked the feelings that make a pairing believable. A promising idea, but the emotional core just wasn’t there. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Prince Gillam runs away to avoid marrying a cruel man and is taken by a strange creature in the forest. He wakes up safe with a mysterious man named Fergus, who isn’t what he expected.
This was a sweet read, I really enjoyed it and didn’t want it to end. Gilliam and Fergus are fated mates and Fergus is a dragon shifter. Need I say more. For a novella, there’s a lot that happens. Did I mention Fergus is a dragon shifter 🔥.

Amazing amazing amazing. I flew through this novella, it was so sexy and hot while also being so interesting and well written in such a short format. I wish we had a whole series set in this universe.
“I’d turned my beautiful innocent prince into a c*ck-hungry beast.”
An omegaverse shifter fantasy tale from Roe Horvat that perfectly combines a fairytale tone with high steam. This short tale contains the author's trademarks with dragon shifters, dominant alphas and coming of age omegas, with enough peril to convince the reader that these fated mates truly belong together. Short, sexy and sweet!
I always enjoy reading from this author. Their writing style pulls me in and I become invested and can't put the book down. This book was no different. I wish the story was longer as I wasn't ready for it to end when I got to the last page.
