Chicago, October 1929—Kellan O’Roark is running on borrowed time. Having handed over his cousin’s incriminating bootlegging ledger to the police, Kellan must vanish before the mobster exacts revenge. Kellan secures work aboard the SS Wisconsin, a steamer headed for Milwaukee despite his fear of the water.

Desperate to return to her family’s Wisconsin farm and ailing father, Sadie Dawning attempts to travel alone, only to be nearly kidnapped. Kellan steps in and offers to smuggle her aboard the Wisconsin. A decision which turns nearly fatal when an autumn storm capsizes the ship.

Washed ashore and presuming Kellan dead to evade his cousin, the pair arrive at Sadie’s family farm, only to find the new storms brewing on land. Caught between duty, a dangerous past, and a budding love, Kellan and Sadie must rely on their newfound faith in each other and renewed faith in God to weather the growing storm.

What a fascinating dive into 1929 life, zoomed in on the sinking of the SS Wisconsin but ALSO the stock market crash leading into the Great Depression! In this novel, Grandinetti somehow showed darkness and evil without it being at ALL graphic, which was impressive considering the hero was escaping mobster life in Chicago, and the heroine experienced some... untoward male attention. I appreciate how details were alluded to but never expounded upon.

Kellan and Sadie were genuinely the sweetest, and their relationship wasn't rife with annoying conflict. There were no secrets, not a whole lot of drama... just two people communicating and trying to find the right path forward. I, of course, was with Fannie, wholeheartedly supporting their union. Despite his problematic past, Kellan is all green flags on-page, and it's no wonder Sadie's whole family falls in love with him!

I didn't think I was going to like Marjorie at first, but once I got to know her better (and she and Sadie cleared the air), I came to love the role she plays in the Dawning family. And I look forward to reading her (and Ellis's???) story!

The faith content, especially on Kellan's parts, was beautiful, and I loved all his memories of his mama quoting Scripture, and how he wanted to make his parents proud. And I'm ALWAYS down for a reminder of how God's promises prevail, and He's paving the way even when we don't understand the path or destination.

The plot moves fast, and the book was over all too soon, so I'm eager to read book 2! Definitely recommend for fans of fast-paced and compelling Christian historical fiction!

This is a fast-paced book with an urgent story to tell about survival, helping family, being responsible and finding romance in an unlikely place. Sadie Dawning is summoned home to help out because her father is very ill. Traveling alone isn’t her first choice and isn’t a very good idea since she has to be rescued before she is assaulted by strangers. Her rescuer is Kellan, a young man who is fleeing the criminal world established by his cousin Tiernan. This book grabbed my attention right away with the realistic scenes of fleeing, being rescued and ending up on a ship that flounders during a storm. The parallel between the story of Jonah and Kellan’s story is apparent and even pointed out by Kellan himself. Once home on the farm, Sadie faces multiple obstacles and hardships but is determined to tackle the job at hand. Kellan offers to help out since she cannot possibly take care of the harvest alone. I thought the setting was realistically portrayed and that the fact that the stock market was crashing at the same time that Sadie is trying to rescue her family from overwhelming debt lent themselves to my being invested in the story. I enjoyed meeting the characters, especially Sadie’s family who all had differing levels of faith. Kellan, the hero, had a hard life to overcome and does a great job of portraying someone who doesn’t let circumstances defeat him. The realistic characters, the well-researched setting and timing of the story and the plot itself all worked well to make this story captivating as well as fascinating. I am already looking forward to the next book in the series since Sadie’s story is such a compelling and unforgettable one.

Shipwrecked Faith is such a great story. Danielle Grandinetti does such a great job of bringing historical events to life and focuses on lesser-known ones.

Sadie is trying to return home to help her ailing father and help keep the family farm. On her journey, she has a run-in with some men from the mob who try to kidnap her. Kellan steps in, rescues Sadie, and promises to help her get home. Kellan is also on the run from his past. Leaving his crooked cousin behind, he is off to start over. The only way to leave seems to be on the SS Wisconsin. On their way, the ship begins to sink, and Kellen and Sadie just barely make it off. When they get to shore, they make it back to Sadie’s family farm. Shortly after they arrive, the beginning of the Great Depression begins with the collapse of the banks. Sadie is left trying to figure out how to help her family. Kellan has nowhere else to go, so he offers to stay and help while he finds his footing. With everything going on, Sadie’s father is fast declining. He encourages the relationship between Sadie and Kellan, even though he hasn’t known him long, he can see his heart. The family must pull together to try to save the farm from the collapse of the Great Depression.

The romance was perfect and sweet.

Danielle Grandinetti did a great job of intertwining faith throughout this story while bringing this time period to life. I cannot wait to read book two.

“She was a vulnerable, naive, beautiful soul. And he was a streetwise snitch of an orphan. Could someone like him take on the responsibility of getting someone like her home?”

Le Sigh! Instant love. Not the characters. Me for this book, Shipwrecked Faith, by Danielle Grandinetti. The first of a new series about a family of Irish immigrants, we find ourselves plunged into mystery and intrigue in the first sentence. What is Kellan O’Rourk up to? We quickly find out there is a betrayal going down, between Kellan and his older gangster cousin, Tiernan. “Family was complicated, yet family didn’t betray one another.” Especially not in October 1929 in crime-infested Chicago. Now, he must flee.

Our heroine, Sadie Dawning, has just received a telegram summoning her home from her city job. She is desperately needed to help care for the family farm and her near- death father.

As Sadie enters the Union Station to catch a train, she finds herself accosted by thugs. A stranger rescues her, then whisks her away through the streets of Chicago. Once they realize Sadie also needs a way home that no longer includes a train ticket, Kellan convinces Sadie to disguise herself and stow away with him on the SS Wisconsin. You’ll have to read the book to find out why that method of travel is the one Kellan is sure will keep Tiernan from discovering his whereabouts.

I want to research this shipwreck now. One hears much more about shipwrecks on Lake Superior than Lake Michigan, and it’s easy to forget that Michigan has also buried her boats and victims. How terrifying a time Kellan and Sadie have. Can Kellan keep his promise to Sadie to deliver her safely home? “‘I’ll get you home, Sadie. I promise.’ Determination laced his tone. ‘I have my own penance to observe.’” In throes of imminent death, Kellan considers the faith of his mother. “What was he thinking? How could he consider giving his new life to God? With his past, what good could he do?” But God is at work through Mr. Downing. He reminds Kellan, “God sees the heart, and there is always hope for mercy and grace when you put your faith in His son.”

I love the many layers of this story. The physical dangers of the lake. The running from the low-level gangster. The questioning of one’s past making one unacceptable to God. The sister rivalries. Ooch, one sister tries to shoulder all responsibility in her own way, another misinterprets her sister’s intentions and holds resentment. Plus, tries to solve the family’s problems her way. Yet, another feels unseen with the badly ailing father, the “favorite” daughter (as sisters view it), and the disastrous plans of another sister. Surely she is not needed. ( I hear fodder starting for more books! I love these foreshadowed hints!) And, still more trials to surface!

Mr. Downing, with his sickness, is a fave character as he works hard to be intentional with his daughters and now with Kellan. It’s as if he can see to Keegan’s soul. When Kellan dodges the question of what his intentions are for Sadie, he states they haven’t known each other long. While agreeing, Mr. Dawning sees what Kellan can’t- that trials also reveal character and feelings. “Love, the kind that makes a marriage, takes time and work to deepen. Trial—the type that leaves one’s wife unable to walk without crutches or a husband unable to take care of his family—it reveals what type of love is between you.”

I love everything that Danielle Grandinetti’s writes. Shipwrecked Faith is a great chance to get in on a new historical romantic suspense series at the beginning. Highly recommended!

I received a copy of the book from the author and publisher and JustRead Tours. I also bought my own copy. No positive review was required, and all opinions are my own.

Notable Quotables:

“The more friction and trial that love sees, the faster and hotter the love burns. It might not look pretty, but hard times can prove love that lasts. If you can place your faith in someone to love you when the world falls apart and it strengthens that bond, then you can trust them through anything.” - Mr. Dawning

“Nothing for it but to put one foot in front of the other. To trust God to work out the future while being faithful in the here and now.”

“The words worked themselves past his pride, cracking open a place in his heart he had never planned to unbury.” ( Kellan)

“He’d read her like a book, and she had no way to hide the truth from him.” (Sadie)

“He’d never been a hero before and, right now, he felt like one.” - (Kellan)

Danielle Grandinetti is off to a great start with Shipwrecked Faith, the first book in Ms. Grandinetti’s Dawning Sisters series! In the fall of 1929, Sadie Dawning receives a telegram asking her to return home to Wisconsin and her Family’s farm due to a family emergency. Sadie leaves immediately only to be accosted by members of the mafia on the way home from Chicago. Kellan O’Roark is finally able to get out of his Cousin’s criminal clutches after turning over a prized ledger of information. On his way to board the SS Wisconsin, Kellan stumbles upon a woman being accosted and runs to her rescue by saying he is her boyfriend. Once they make introductions, Sadie agrees to board the SS Wisconsin with Kellan to get home. In Jonah-like fashion the SS Wisconsin is caught in stormy weather and sinks. Having a near-death experience instantly bonds Kellan and Sadie. When Sadie sees the state of her Family’s farm, she instantly gets to work with Kellan jumping in to help. Seeing Sadie with her Family does something to Kellan and causes him to do everything he can to help the Dawning Family, wanting nothing in return. Getting Sadie and Kellan to safety is only the first test of Faith they encounter. Once home Sadie’s Faith is tested through the storms of life while Kellan’s fractured Faith is tested in storms difficult to withstand. Being bonded together and with God, Sadie and Kellan learn they can weather the most rockiest of storms.

I love being swept up in the world that Danielle Grandinetti creates in Shipwrecked Faith! I loved the plot and how Ms. Grandinetti wove the theme of Faith in the midst of Life’s Storms through the storyline. I loved meeting Sadie and Kellan! I liked the premise of how they met and how the storm solidified their bond. I felt like I understood Sadie and the choices she made shouldering the responsibility of her Family and moving to Chicago due to her being the oldest because I would have done the same thing. I admired Kellan the most because of his selflessness to do the right thing that he portrayed in the book—from rescuing Sadie to helping out at her Family’s farm and everything in between. I thought that Sadie and Kellan had equal strength, both physically and personality-wise. I love how Sadie and Kellan approached each new hurdle as a storm that needed to be weathered, encouraging one another and being someone that the other could lean upon. With each new storm that arose in the book, Shipwrecked Faith became more than the title of the book, but the anchored theme of the story. I loved the opening Scripture of 1 Peter 1:7 that was in the book and how it was referred to in the story. I know it’s the wrong time period, but the way Ms. Grandinetti wrote the scenes of the SS Wisconsin reminded me of Titanic! I love how Ms. Grandinetti approached the fall of 1929 and the history nuggets that were dropped in the plot. The research that Ms. Grandinetti poured over shined through the plot and having things portrayed realistic to the time made it really engaging to me as a Historian. I thought that Ms. Grandinetti married the elements of Spiritual Truth and History beautifully. If you are looking for an encouraging read that reminds you that you can weather anything with God at the helm, then I highly recommend Shipwrecked Faith by Danielle Grandinetti!

I always love reading about historical events that happened in my home state. I did not really know about the sinking of the SS Wisconsin and how that overshadowed Black Tuesday and the stock market crash. Sadie has been in Chicago, working to send money home in hopes of keeping her family farm afloat. When she receives a telegram summoning her home immediately, she heads to the train station only for a run in with unsavory men. Kellan has just turned his criminal cousin in with incriminating evidence and needs to get out of the city right now. When at the train station, he sees two of his cousins goons chasing after a girl, and he steps in. How dare they try to take advantage of an unsuspecting woman, traveling on her own. Gaining the trust of Sadie, they head towards the docks where he comes up with a plan to get them aboard. No one will be the wiser and because of his parents tragic accident, his cousin nor anyone would look for him on a ship. Not only is Sadie in the fight of her life as this shop starts to go down, but she fears the worse of her father and she will never see him again. Kellan made a promise to keep Sadie safe and he will do anything in his power to do that and get her back home in Wisconsin. Not only do they have to survive the ship sinking, but Kellan's cousin is out for blood and with the stock market crash looming, Sadie might just lose the farm anyways. Can these two strangers put their faith in each other as they face one obstacle after another? I really enjoyed this story, the characters and the bit of history that was woven through out. I also cannot wait to read the next in the series about Marjorie as she ventures on her own with the escort of Ellis. I enjoyed Shipwrecked Faith by Danielle Grandinetti very much! It has criminal activity, a shipwreck, financial crisis, romance and more! This is the first of three planned books in the Dawning Sisters series. In it, Sadie, the eldest daughter, has been working in Chicago but needs to quickly return home when she receives a telegram stating her father is very ill. Kellan O’Roark is running from Chicago and his criminal cousin. Their paths cross, and they end up traveling on the SS Wisconsin.

This book takes place on the cusp of the 1929 stock market crash, and that really made me think about how quickly we learn about things happening in the US/world compared to then! I love all of the research that the author does for her books. The shipwreck is based on the actual shipwreck which happened on Lake Michigan. The news of that shipwreck dominated the headlines in the area of Wisconsin in which Sadie lived rather than the news of the stock market crash! I loved learning that little bit of history (and all of the history I learn from Grandinetti’s books!).

I absolutely loved the plot of the book. In addition to the shipwreck, it is propelled forward by Sadie’s father’s inability to run the farm, the romance developing between Sadie and Kellan, family dynamics, and the threat of Kellan’s cousin’s retribution. The characters are very well-written, and I was very invested in what happened to them. I’m excited to read the next two sisters’ stories!

I highly recommend this book for its realistic characters, the historical research behind the story, the element of faith that runs throughout the story, and the romance! It’s a 5 star read for me!

Christian Historical Romance is a favorite genre of mine. Shipwrecked Faith by Danielle Grandinetti is Book 1 in the Dawning Sisters Series. I am very excited about this new series from Danielle.

The storyline starts off strong and I was hooked immediately. The setting is Chicago in 1929. The main characters are Sadie Dawning and Kellan O’Roark. Sadie, originally from Wisconsin, has been living in Chicago for a while. She told her family she had found a job in Chicago, yet she was really escaping from a man who was making advances at her in WI. Sadie is worried after receiving an urgent telegram that her father is very ill, so she makes plans to head up to Wisconsin to the family farm. Sadie is at Union Station in Chicago when she is a victim of an attempted Kidnapping. Kellan comes to her rescue and saves her from the attempt. Kellan is also "on the run" to Wisconsin as he needs to get far away from his cousin. Kellan has given the Police some info that would cause family drama with his cousin. I LOVE that Kellan offers to help Sadie get to Wisconsin via a Ship that he is also taking to Milwaukee. The adventure on the Ship is one of danger when the Ship is "wrecked" in the storms. Kellan and Sadie make it to land safely and that is where the story takes an interesting turn. The pair are beginning to get to know one another and Kellan needs to make a decision that could have Sadie making a change of heart. I LOVE that there is honesty and trust amidst the dangers and drama that are unfolding for them both. I also love that they both rely on God and their faith to help them navigate the "storms" that left them Shipwrecked and the "Storms" of life. I am in complete AWE of this storyline and I am looking forward to more books in this series. GREAT BOOK!

When Kellan decides he can no longer watch his cousin's criminal behaviour in silence and takes evidence to the police, he knows he needs to disappear or face his cousin's vengeance. But when first he meets a young lady needing rescuing from two of his cousin's goons, then their ship is wrecked, disappearing isn't going to be as easy as he'd hoped. Sadie ostensibly left home to earn money to send back to her family on the farm, but had other reasons to escape. Now, though, her father is ill and she's been called home - and it's only thanks to Kellan she arrives alive. But numerous problems await them both, and the spectre of his cousin hovers in the background. Will they make it safely to the other side of their trials, or is their life to mirror the shipwreck?

An enjoyable read full of family, redemption and love - with plenty of difficulties to bring out the best (or sometimes worst) in people and help them grow. The relationships between the sisters were strained, which made things hard, but I did appreciate that their love for each other still showed through even when there was some understandable resentment and similar. As for Kellan, he struggles with his past (also understandably) but works to become a better person, even if he's pretty sure he doesn't deserve anything good. And of course, that comes with various inspiring thoughts, which I appreciated. Possibly my favourite part was their visit to the bank - it was hilarious, I loved it. All in all, a good read and I look forward to Marjorie's story. 4.5 stars.

I found this to be an intriguing and engaging story. It is a Christian historical read with messages of faith and God‘s way. I was hooked from the very beginning and could not put it down till the end. So beware, give yourself plenty of time to read this in one setting. The characters are so well described, you feel as if you’re within their grasp. The story begins with Sadie receiving an urgent telegram to return home as her father is very ill. She had left her family‘s farm in Wisconsin and moved to Chicago to make extra money to send home, but the real reason, that no one else knows, is she was running from untoward advances from a prominent man. On her rush to return home, she was waylaid by two ruffians at the train station. When a strong stranger scared them off and became her protector. Both Kellan and Sadie have been through trials. As their paths cross their trials become one as they fight them together. The story is gripping with family drama, perilous scenes and corruption. On the flipside, it is a tenderhearted, faith building love story. As you read the synopsis of this book you get a feel for the story’s plot, but it is so much deeper and richer in history, life‘s trials and having faith in a higher being. It makes you feel like you can weather life storms. This is a new author to me and I will definitely be picking up more of her books. I am especially looking forward to Margaret story. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Shipwrecked Faith
Dawning Sisters #1
By Danielle Grandinetti

Sadie Dawning left home to escape, though she justified as a means to help save the family farm. But when she receives word that her father is unwell, she drops everything to return to her Wisconsin home, leaving Chicago behind. But things don't go quite right, starting with having to escape Chicago by being rescued by a perfect stranger and then being smuggled out of the city!

Kellan O'Roark is desperate to escape Chicago and his older cousin's nefarious deeds. He has one chance to make good his escape and help bring Tiernan to justice, but when he sees Sadie in danger, he does what no one else will; he steps in to help.

This book is the first in a new series by the author, and I totally loved it and can't wait for book two to be released. I loved how the author brought the characters to life and made them relatable, people I was rooting for to succeed. I loved how Sadie's faith meant so much to her being, though incidents from the past had shaken her. And Kellan, my heart ached for him and the childhood he had after losing his parents. His feelings of worthlessness and the guilt he felt over what he had done for and now to his cousin so defined him.

My favorite part of this book was how it brought actual historical events to life in a way that history books and class never did. And living in Wisconsin, this added an extra touch in my opinion. Highly recommend to teens and up.

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations. All thoughts expressed are my own.

“Nothing for it but to put one foot in front of the other. To trust God to work out the future while being faithful in the here and now.”
Drawing on a real ship that was lost in a storm, the author has penned a wonderfully exciting story of two strangers escaping Chicago and ending up in a shipwreck. The scenes where Sadie and Kellen were fighting for their lives in the midst of a storm were terrifying and realistic. The trouble just keeps coming as they reach her family farm in Wisconsin. Kellen sees this as an opportunity to help Sadie’s family and at the same time hide from thugs he left behind in Chicago.
This was a story of sustaining faith and how God showed the characters a solution to their problems and kept them through all of their difficulties.
I enjoyed the family atmosphere at the farm and the way the sisters each wanted to help rescue the farm from foreclosure. Kellen was the perfect hero when he resolved to help in any way he could. It illustrated how he had grown in his faith.
This engaging story was coupled with some interesting history. Danger and romance is a winning combination. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Shipwrecked Faith is book one in the Dawning Sisters series that is written by Danielle Grandinetti. I am an absolute fan of this author and have read just about everything that she has written. She always write such unique characters in such amazing settings.

In this story, we are in 1929 - Chicago. Kellan O’Roark has turned over evidence against his cousin - and he knows that he needs to disappear. He finds new employment a steamer, SS Wisconsin. However, he has such a fear of water. However, he meets Sadie Dawning while she is on her way home to care for her ailing father - and is almost kidnapped at Chicago Union Station. He gets her on board the SS Wisconsin. Things do not go as planned.

Wowza - what a fast paced suspenseful story. I found myself caught up in the story within the first few pages. What is not to love about a story that is set right after the stock market crash, mobsters, bootleggers and so much more. It was amazing to find out this story is based off an actual shipwreck that happened off Lake Michigan. The author has crafted a great start to a new series, which I cannot wait to read.

Thank you to the author, publisher and JustRead Publicity Tours for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.

Last year I discovered Danielle's writing and each time a new book of hers comes out I make it a priority to get my hands on a copy. I will say she has a way of bringing stories to life and does not disappoint. When the opportunity to get my hands on Shipwrecked Faith came up I knew that reading this would be the opportunity of a lifetime and I was not wrong on that.

In the late 1920's we are introduced to Kellan and Sadie who meet on a ship after Kellan saves her from being kidnapped. However, it is not easy after that because soon after it seems to be one isolated tragedy after another. But instead of running away and wallowing in their self pity both Kellan and Sadie realize that they will have to put their trust into a higher power. The journey will be rough but in the long run it will be worth it.

I know it’s a cliche, but this one really was a page turner. There I was, sitting in bed, telling myself “just one more chapter.” The only problem? Every time I finished a chapter I thought “Well, I just have to see what happens next!” Needless to say, this one kept me up way past my bedtime. Kellan and Sadie had such an interesting dynamic, a bond formed through a near-death experience that had them questioning their own connection to each other. That bond made for complex feelings and motivations that gave the story a unique framing. I really enjoyed the focus on redemption and regret, as well as sacrifice and happiness. Both dichotomies were written with a deft hand from the writer. Over all, 4 stars.

Danielle Grandinetti is becoming one of my favorite authors, maybe because all of her books that I have read so far are set in Wisconsin, a state near and dear to my heart (since my parents grew up there).

Shipwrecked Faith is the first in the "Dawning Sisters" trilogy, introducing us to the Dawning family, and shares Sadie's story, the oldest of the three sisters. We also meet Kellan, who is a real gem. I enjoyed watching the growing relationship between Sadie and Kellan, and Kellan's protectiveness, not just toward Sadie, but for her whole family.

This was truly a book I could not put down. I wanted to keep reading, to find out what happened to Sadie and Kellan. Yes, I lost sleep! 😉

If you enjoy page-turning historical fiction, with a bit of danger, a touch of romance, and a dose of faith, I certainly recommend Shipwrecked Faith. Put it near the top of your TBR list!

What a wonderful beginning to a new series. Three sisters, a stock market crash, a shipwreck and more will keep you wondering if survival is going to happen. A story of growing faith as trust in the Lord learned through trials brings them home and the start of a new life. God’s providence brought Kellan to the farm, but will he learn forgiveness and then the peace that only God can give?

This brief look into what life was like in 1929 was received through Ashberry Lane and WhiteFire Publishing. I am looking forward to getting to know the other Dawning Sisters. These impressions are my own and were in no way solicited.

There are multiple reasons why Danielle’s stories are ones I devour nearly as soon as I get one in my hands. First, she creates wonderful characters that bring much to the storylines. Second, she weaves elements that come together to forrm stories I cannot put down, her stories have the perfect amount of danger and mystery. Thirdly, I love the faith threads she infuses into her stories. Lastly, I love the 1930s era of most of her stories and the research that she does to make these stories accurate and compelling. “Shipwrecked Faith,” has all of these in spades. I read 3/4 of this book in one evening because I could not put it down. The story is so well done and it sets up book two nicely and I can’t wait to see where that takes us!

This book rates in my top five books for 2026. It is filled with suspense and danger at every corner and keeps you reading until you finish the book. The story is situated during 1929 which included the Chicago mobsters, prohibition, the crash of the stock market and shipwrecks off Lake Michigan. All of these actual events are backdrops of this very dramatic story.
Main characters are Sadie, who is in a hurry to get home after a telegraph says her father is not doing well, and Kellan, a young man who is in a hurry to get out of Chicago to avoid danger due to his part in exposing his uncle's illegal activities. Their lives collide, literally, as they are both trying to flee Chicago. What follows included smuggling on a ship, a storm, a shipwreck, making it to land and finally to Sadie's family farm. It is through these initial events that Sadie and Kellen see the good in each other, the strengths in each other and begin to experience a blossoming attraction. Also through these experiences they've learned a great ability to trust in each other which will serve them well in the rest of the story.
Throughout these initial events and the rest of the story you see both Kellan and Sadie reach out to God to understand His presence in their lives, God's providence, and God's plan for them. They both end up resting in His promises and learn about trust. I smiled each time Kellan remembered something from his parents Christian walk or scriptures that they spoke of in his early years. I also smiled each time Sadie's parents talked about Kellan being there as part of God's providence. The spiritual and Biblical references within the book are intertwined in such a beautiful way that it moves the story forward while we wait to see how God is going to work through these characters to resolve the seemingly impossible situations they face.
I definitely recommend this book and am anxious to read the next in the series!
