Bilingual former management consultant Nadia Lee has lived in four different countries and enjoyed many adventures and excellent food around the globe. In the last eight years, she has kissed stingrays, got bitten by a shark, and petted tigers.
She shares an apartment overlooking a river and palm trees in Japan with her husband, winter white hamsters and an ever-widening pile of books. When she's not writing, she can be found digging through old Asian historical texts or planning another trip.
Justin and Vanessa have had an on again off again casual relationship for the last ten years. When a surprise pregnancy forces them together, Justin and Vanessa will have to confront some painful secrets and learn to finally trust each other. While neither one believes in true love, Vanessa is the most jaded. She grew up with two parents who warped her against commitment, marriage and taught her that love and depending on one person for your happiness was the worst thing a person could do.
This started off with promise, the blurb kind of misleads you by making it sound like Justin is 100% committed to Vanessa. While he does the chasing (if you can call it that since Vanessa gives in pretty easily) what left a bad taste in my mouth was the fact that their “relationship” was open. Meaning although it was on again off again, while they were “off” they both dated other people. AKA they were not celibate during their off periods. I question if they didn’t cheat on the OP when they had their frequent booty calls, not because it’s confirmed but the way they talk about Justin’s OW and the fact that Vanessa dated her co-worker in secret makes me wonder and that kind of sucks for me in a romance.
Maybe it’s because my last few reads have had a lot more OW drama recently, but I didn’t like Justin’s idea of a Vanessa Detox. I didn’t see the point of the OW since she was literally only used twice and both times it was only to disparage her character. Again we don’t get details but it felt like Justin’s detox was both emotional and physical. It’s mentioned they date for a month and the idea of him sleeping with other woman right after being with Vanessa was just ewwww…..
It wasn’t all bad, I did like the way they slowly opened up to each other. Especially how understanding and caring Justin was with Vanessa, who deals with some pretty hard knocks from work, from her family and from herself. Once you get past their open relationship, moving forward they were pretty amazing together. Things did get a little overshadowed with Vanessa’s parents secondary story but it explained a lot about Vanessa so it had its merits.
I think I might need to take a break from this series now. The Billionaire's Secret Wife was just not my cup of tea people. In it, you will meet Justin and Vanessa. Both are pretty horrible people in my opinion. They have that god awful on again off again relationship. Ugh, just writing about it irks me to no end.
I have no idea how they continued this trend for 10 years but I wasn't surprised one bit when there was an oopsie baby made. As for who is exactly the father.. no idea. How could I know because these people weren't celibate during their off time people. So yeah, I had my questions and doubts. It also didn't help that I didn't really think that they were completely faithful when they were even together either.
This is a third book in the spin off series The Pryce Family. I haven't read any of the books in this or the Billionaires in Love series and luckily I wasn't missing way too many details, there was no big hole of what I don't know or understand. So it can be read as a standalone without any problems and misunderstandings.
The billionaire books are my dirty little secret. I can't even imagine having that much money (not that I would've minded. if someone got a few billions to spare you can give them to me), but I like seeing a filthy rich man fall in love with a girl who's not a golddigger.
In The Billionaire's Secret Wife both Vanessa and Justin are insanely rich, altough Justin's considerably wealthier. They've been dating on and off for the last ten years and Justin has finally had enough of only being her booty call.
Vanessa has a lot of issues. Her parents cheated on each other the whole time they were married, her grandmother was a nasty bich. Vanessa wants to prove the world that she can become a partner in a law firm without her family connections.
One booty call led to another and suddenly she finds herself pregnant. And married to Justin. But it's not because they realized they love each other. No, it's a convenience marriage.
The ending without epilog was cheesy and predictable, but that's how it usually is. At least it wasn't too hurried. The epilog was more of a prolog to the next book that will be concentrated on another member of the Pryce family - Shane.
I wasn't disappointed but I also wasn't blown away. There are still lots of guestions unanswered - such as Vanessa's stepsister, the whole marriage of Vanessa's parents. But I think some of those will be answered in the next two books in the series. Hopefully.
I am definitely not a fan of the "forced marriage" following an unexpected pregnancy, even though I have to confess that the legal arguments thought of by Vanessa seemed quite convincing, and those would have born even more weight for her lawyer that she was. On the other hand, the secret relationship spreading over years with booty calls being in fact more than just that, for both of them, even if they dared not accept it, especially the heroine, was rather new and convincing. After the secret wedding, I had the feeling the timeline would have won to be stretched over a slightly longer period of time. Last thing there was a blunder regarding the length of time they were married at the moment when they disclosed it. And the duration of the pregnancy was also wrongly calculated, as number of weeks from moment of conception instead of the usual last known period, 2 weeks before. And Vanessa's brother would not have caught up so quickly on when the baby was really conceived without this oversight.
Vanessa Pryce is a good person, she overworked herself trying to prove to Dane that he was wrong about her, and to be able to hide her relationship with Jason for as long as she could... I felt so sorry for Vannesa, because she had to hide her marriage to Jason, because he is such a catch, that you had him should be ilegal. Plus he's such a good man. It was fun that the two protagonists were trying to deny that they loved each other ... how could their relationship worked otherwise?
One thing that must I say about Dane, it's that he loves his family and he loves vanessa no matter how hard he is on her. The eternal couple is coming to an end with some serious information alongside.

I really really wanted to throttle Vanessa, I understand having mommy and daddy issues but this was just way over the top. I loved Justin and thought he deserved better than her. Trying to keep everything quiet like he's some dirty secret. I wish I would have gotten better closure on Peggy.
I love that asshole Dane and cant wait to read his story.
The thing I love most about Nadia Lee's books is her ability to create a world that is interwoven amongst her books. The way they are all connected, it's a theme that holds true to a lot of my favourite romance authors. Deborah Bladon is a perfect example; all her books are connected... her characters all connected... their stories interwoven. Nadia Lee does just that. The Billionaire's Secret Wife is the third book in The Pyrce Family Series and it continues to open up Nadia Lee's world that little bit more to her readers.
Vanessa, the sister of Mark and Iain Pryce, member of the amazingly disfunctional Pryce family, refuses to rely on a man for anything. She's had an on again off again, no strings attached relationship with Justin Sterling since college. Even when they aren't together; they still indulge in each other. When she gets some pretty awful news, it's him she runs to. Justin struggles to hold back from her. "When Vanessa was like this, it was like all the hurtful words had never been spoken. He went weak for her even though he knew how bad she was." She leaves the morning after she goes to him for comfort and they sleep together. The result? Pregnancy!
In the meantime, Justin has decided it is time to finally move on but when Vanessa tells him she's pregnant, he sees it as an opportunity to win her over. So when she refuses to marry him unless they keep it quiet, he hatches a deal. I love the process that Vanessa goes through. She really doesn't think their marriage will last. But what happens when Vanessa gets her most devastating news yet? If she thought her family was disfunctional to begin with, it's beyond disfunctional now.
This book is not your typical boy meets girl, boy kisses girl, boy loves girl, girl loves boy, boy proposes to girl, boy marries girl, sort of story. This is far better than that. It's a story that covers a decade. It's definitely worth reading. In fact, you should read the whole series, because I'm in love with the Pryce family.
I receive this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Here in Book 3 of the The Pryce Family series we get to see more from Justin Sterling and Vanessa Pryce. Readers are initially introduced to Justin in Reunited in Love. However, in this book we get to see more of his story outside of being Kerri’s gossiping cousin. We see more of Vanessa Pryce’s story as well. In 1st and 2nd book in this series were centered on Mark and Iain’s stories, but this time it’s their sister Vanessa’s turn. This story was unique in its approach to business and romance. Without giving too much away I will say that if you have any questions in this series and Billionaires in Love (formerly in Hearts on the Line) then some will be answered. Also, always we checked in with some of favorite people from previous books. Justin and Vanessa really balance each other out and it was interesting the romance unfold. It can easily be read as separately or with the rest in the series. What I enjoyed is that it showed the reality of a real relationship and the challenges they have to face. The author takes readers on an adventure of secrets and romance. If you enjoyed the previous books in the Pryce series then you should definitely check out this on as well.
“Justine was her kryptonite, and unlike Superman she was too stupid to stay away from him.”
My Review:
Oh the fantasy of having a rich, sweet, handsome, sensual, generous, supportive, and multi-talented man fall blindly in love with me. Nadia Lee has an innate talent for making that almost believable. Her stories generally involve interesting and strong, yet deeply flawed heroines; passionate sensual scenes; and filthy rich people with simply horrid families. She can be always counted on for a HEA, but she certainly doesn’t make it easy on the couple involved - she makes them work for it. Ms. Lee’s books are consistently well-written, quick and easy to read, are interconnected yet can be read as stand-alone, and never fail to entertain.
This 3rd book's story line was okay. I liked reading the updates on the other characters. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. I liked Justin's character. I liked how Justin stepped up for Vanessa. I thought Justin was too good for Vanessa. I didn't like Vanessa's character. I didn't like how Vanessa treated Justin. The ending was okay. My favorite book in this series was THE BILLIONAIRE'S HOLIDAY OBSESSION.
If you love soap operas with all the cliches and a storyline that is completely different from what the summary and title allude to, then you will love this. While I was able to read the entire book, I just wanted the story to be over with when I realized I only had a third left. Seriously, everything happens quickly with characters dropping off and situations not being handled with the correct amount of time.
In addition, I was thinking that the two would have a secret relationship that their respective parents wouldn’t agree with similar to Romeo and Juliet. After the girl finds out she is pregnant, the two would marry in secret to not have a child out of wedlock. Then, they would live in happy secrecy with their families none the wiser. In my mind, that is what I thought this book would be about for some reason. However, I instead read about a girl that doesn’t want male and family names to influence the way her society, employers, and coworkers see her career. Female empowerment is important, but this book made the female whiny and annoying to the point that I have no clue why the male loved her. If these two were real people, two years from their wedding, they would be getting a divorce. Two years is a generous time period, though.
After I finished the book, my final thought was “I am glad I can put this cluster “mess” behind me forever because I will not be reading anymore!” I will leave it at that because I am done with “The Billionaire’s Secret Wife.”
Ok these stars are for Justin and Vanessa's brothers. Justin was faithful, loving, caring, hardworking, sexy, and just an all around great man and Vanessa yanked him around for over ten years. She was in an on again off again relationship and would fuck other guys when they were apart from their booty calls. She kept their relationship a secret from everyone for over ten years because she was already planning it to fail. Vanessa was insecure, whiny, pathetic, annoying and Justin deserved better. Ok so she had an awful example from her parents on relationships but OMG you are obviously smart as a successful lawyer and you can't tell the difference between your own relationship and your parents. OMG so they cheated, had kids with other people and eventually got divorced...You automatically jump to all love is a lie and everything fails?! Grow up and put in the hard work required. Ugh, I hated her character! I will not be continuing with this series.

This sexy, emotional, and swoon-worthy love story will take you on an unforgettable adventure that is sure to leave you beyond happy and your heart full. From the moment I first started listening to the book, to the second I finished it, I was transfixed. I didn't just read this story, I lived it. Every truth, lie, happiness, and anger was felt to my very bones. Kirsten Leigh does an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. She does more than giving their characters their voices, she falls into the roles and becomes the characters.
I just kept reading... getting pulled into their lives. The characters made you want to cheer for them, weep for them, or give them a smack to smarten them up. Dysfunctional? Oh yes, fear of commitment for good reason, scared, but moving forward... so much to look forward to... love. My first book by Nadia Lee; she's an author I will look for in the future.
Lots of drama and sex. The drama just kept happening, and resolved very quickly. No a lot of character development. A really quick read. No lasting feelings about the book. I didn't fall in love with the story line, characters or felt any desire to read any other books in the series. It wasn't terrible, it just didn't pull me in to love the book or want more. I had to make myself finish the book.
I so loved reading this book! I think it's sad how a bad relationship between parents, in the same household or not, can affect the children to a degree that had behavior follows them to adulthood. That is clear in the behaviour shown in each of the Adult kids in this series, especially the only girl! I loved the storyline in this book and I know others will enjoy it also! I book that I will recommend to others!
This was one of the best books of Nadia Lee that I've read so far. Justin Sterling and Vanessa Pryce have been having a long secret affair since their college days. Suddenly Vanessa finds pregnant and all the drama unfolds. It's a bit difficult to like Vanessa with all her family issues but Justine makes it more than worthwhile with his loving caring ways. I personally loved this book and the story !! Looking forward to reading the others in the Pryce series
Vanessa and Justin have been secretly involved romantically for 10 years but distance and jobs now keep them apart. Vanessa is afraid to commit to any man for fear he will be like her father, Salazar. One of their nights results in a baby and they marry secretly, not wanting to deal with either of their families! Lots of events happen to their attempt at secrecy! Salazar and Ceinlys are really terrible parents and selfish people!
This is filled with real problems and that is refreshing. Yes it’s a fantasy but I appreciate that the problems can’t just be solved with money. Vanessa is lovely with a genuine heart but traumatized by her upbringing. Justin is less traumatized but equally messed up. They struggle to find ways to tell the other what they need only for Vanessa to get pregnant and Justin uses it to finally get what they both need.
Vanessa and Justin have been on again off again for over a decade. The night she finds out her parents are divorcing she flies to him. Her brother, Iain, calls ahead to have Justin meet her and send her home unaware she's running to Justin. That one night changes everything. Justin's plane crash, the truth about her parentage and a car crash finally gets this prideful man and guarded woman to say "I love you."

For some reason I 'feel' the.men in this story than the women thus far. Vanessa was so emotionally all over the place that it got a bit tiring at times; however, I could sympathize with her because of the trauma she experienced due to her parents' relationship. I loved Justin though, he was loving and forgiving and he remained steadfast in his commitment and love for Vanessa.
A big red flag for having a male love interest who interferes with the woman's career behind her back. All of Vanessa's issues could have been solved with some intensive therapy sessions, and the book didn't stand alone as well as I expected. It felt like I was entering in the middle of a session where the story was just as much about everyone else as it was about the couple the story was meant to be about.
