A heartwarming story that will pull at your heart

Looking For Lochlan was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5 for me! I was pulled in immediately with the story of Raye and Lochlan.
I love the way DJ writes her stories. They are heartwarming and are real. I pictured the settings as I read on. I liked how there were songs to each chapter.
I definitely had my favorite lines within the book.

I love that the place Loch moved was a place I have actually heard of. I even had friends who lived within that area. I love the farm setting, front porch sitting. It was heartwarming to know that Raye and Loch had not forgotten about each other or lose their feelings. I loved that Raye had such supportive friends in her life. I was so excited when I read that she was going to go looking for Loch. I may or may not have squealed with excitement. 🤗
The reconnecting was perfection. Like they never missed a year.
I don’t want to spoil anymore of the book but it’s one you absolutely need to check out.

I loved this book. This is my third book of DJ’s and each time I read one her books I am transported. Looking for Lochlan hooked me in right away. Who doesn’t love a good second chance romance? I love how DJ is able to write as if you’re in the story yourself and you are painted this picture that’s so detailed that you swear you were living the story in real time. I love Raye a lot she is so relatable and it was easy to put myself in her shoes. I absolutely love her girlfriends and how they care for her so much but will be honest and not always be in agreement but it’s refreshing to see friend groups written in a way that’s relatable and honest. Lochlan “Loch” is not my typical book boyfriend but he found a way to turn into one. I love how much he remembers everything. City girl and cowboy what more could you ask for? I felt all the emotions reading this one. This is also such a quick read that once you start it, it can so easily be finished in one sitting. Will be recommending to my friends!!! Just read it!!!!

Raye and Lochlan’s story completely pulled me in after 20 years apart since high school. Their journey through long-distance, past trauma, and healing together is emotional and beautifully written.

Loch is patient, understanding, and knows exactly when to pull Raye close or give her space. His protective nature and smooth Southern charm make him the ultimate gentleman and a true lady’s man.

Their chemistry is undeniable, and watching them grow together makes their HEA feel so well deserved.

This was such a sweet easy read! Lochlan and Raye were high school sweethearts who lost touch after high school but never got over each other! This book gave me all the warm and fuzzy vibes of a hallmark movie with Raye being the city girl and Lochlan being her cowboy. I am obsessed and will recommend this to everyone I know!

This is such a good romance. I love the way this author writes. It’s like I’m living this life while I’m reading it! The fmc Raye is very relatable in the absolute best ways. But the show stopper is our MMC Lochlan “Loch”. If you needed a new book boyfriend, he is it! He’s not your typical golden retriever vibes, he’s more. He’s like a blood hound. He’s a waiter. He takes his time. He remembers everything. This book gave me so many emotions and truly such a good love story. Loch will always be a cowboy to me!

Loved this book sooo much! This is my third book that I’ve read by DJ, and she just keeps getting better each time.

High school sweethearts that find each other after 20 years, and realize that they still love each other. They work through the pain that originally caused them to separate, and the pain that happens after finding each other again, and end up stronger in the end. I absolutely loved everything, and would highly recommend to friends and family!!

4.5⭐️♥️ This short novel flies by! If you’ve ever found yourself in a long distance relationship or reminiscing over your first love, this will hit. Lochlan and Rayechil fell in love as freshmen in high school and kept falling harder until Raye had to move from their home town to Los Angeles for college. Life and distance got in the way and before they knew it 20 years had passed. An email invite for their high school reunion brought Raye home, looking for Loch.

I loved that this second chance romance wasn’t a fairytale. Big life things happened that can’t be ignored, but they still held onto the memories never really moving on. This is the 3rd book I’ve read by DJ AuBuchon and if I’ve learned one thing, it’s to have tissues ready. Even with Looking for Lochlan, I thought I’d made it through without crying, but she got me when I least expected it.

One stand out feature outside of the romance was the way female friendships were depicted. I found it incredibly relatable to have a dynamic group of friends who don’t always see eye to eye but ultimately care for each other.

Shorter novels sometimes suffer from a lack of dimension, but I felt like I really got to know not only the FMC and MMC but also the side characters. There was nothing superfluous, and the pacing was perfect. You could easily read this in a day if for no other reason than you won’t want to put it down.
